Roman arrived first, having gotten a panicked (and over exaggerated) text from Remus.

"Is Patton okay!?" Roman asked stumbling into Patton's house.

Remus grabbed Roman by the arm, pulling him down the basement stairs without another word.

"Remus- What happened-!?"

"We're fine, idiot." Remus said, throwing Roman into the basement. "Look at what Patton's holding."

Roman glanced at the jar in Patton's hands, scowling at Remus. "You told me Patton had a heart attack."

"Were you going to come here if I told you there was a light in a jar?"

Roman blinked at his brother, rolling his eyes in defeat and taking the jar from Patton. "Woah... I don't think that's normal.."

Patton looked to Logan who was standing in the doorway.

"Logan!" Patton squeaked in excitement, running over to Logan and jumping into his arms.

Logan sighed, patting Patton on the head. "Hello everyone. What seems to be the problem?"

"They called us here so we can look at a light." Roman mumbled, holding the jar in one hand.

Panic flashed in Roman's eyes as the jar darted forward, hitting Patton in the back.

"Ow.." Patton groaned, the jar darting at Remus who caught it.

Remus shot a glare at his brother. "You have to hold onto it!"

"I didn't know it did that!" Roman shot back.

Logan stared at the jar in a sort of shock, rubbing Patton's back comfortingly. "Are you alright, Patton?"

Patton gave a small smile, resting on Logan's chest "Yeah..."

Remus held the jar tightly, starting up the basement stairs and walking by Logan. "We can have a sleepover in Pat's room so we can look at this more."

"It's a school night." Logan grumbled, walking up the stairs with Remus and Patton.

"Who cares, nerd! Live a little!" Roman exclaimed, walking up the stairs and up to Patton's room.

Roman jumped at the sudden sight of Virgil, playing with one of Patton's pet frogs.

"Stormcloud, you mustn't scare me like that." Roman sighed, looking at the emo.

Virgil turned to Roman and the others who stood behind, blowing his bangs out of his eyes. "I didn't know where you guys were."

Patton giggled, watching a frog nuzzle into Virgil's neck while it sat on his shoulder.

Logan took the jar forcibly from Remus who pouted.

"Do you happen to know what this is?" Logan showed the jar, keeping it from escaping his arms.

"Should I know what it is?" Virgil looked in the jar, slightly surprised. "It's a... Light..?"

"I'm guessing some sort of energy that was able to be contained." Logan turned to Patton. "How on earth did you find this?"

Remus scoffed. "I found it."

"Alright then, how did you find it?"

"It was bouncing around a box." Remus shrugged, playing with his hair. "I thought it was weird so I took it out."

"Liar. You don't just find something like that in a basement." Roman rolled his eyes, sitting on Patton's bed.

"You called?"

Everyone looked to the bedroom door, seeing Janus lean against the wall. "Hi guys."

"Jan!" Remus smiled wide, hugging Janus who returned the hug.

"Er- Why am I here again?" He asked.

"There's a light in a jar."

Janus looked at Logan, seeing he had the jar before looking to Virgil. "Is there more to it or..?"

Virgil mumbled "I don't know", petting a frog in his hand. "Don't look at me, I just got here."

"Why were you late, Janny?" Patton asked, cocking his head to the side slightly.

"Fashionably late..?" Janus smiled awkwardly, letting go of Remus.

Virgil chuckled. "Yeah, sure."
