Chapter Eight

"I love you more"

I instantly looked up at him.

"Ow, God...my head..." He murmured. I parted my mouth slightly.

"Oh my god, Kyle!" I said, reaching over and pressing the 'blue button'. In about 4 seconds flat, four nurses ran in.

"What's wrong?!" One of them, Rose said quickly, I pointed at Kyle and they all instantly smiled and ran to him, checking his oxygen and blood pressure.

"What's happening?" Kyle asked, his eyes wide as nurses began examining him. I still was too shocked to speak so I just stared at him. "You've been unconscious for two weeks" one of the nurses, Martha said. "Oh....okay. Dope" he said. One of the nurses chuckled and I continued to just stare at him, not knowing what to say.

"What happened?" He asked directly to me. My breathing was already a few times faster, and my mouth was just open and I wasn't even blinking. "Martha, can you call Lora in and Doctor Smith?" Rose said to one of the nurses, she nodded and quickly made her way outside the door to one of the speakerphones.

"Doctor Smith, please come to room 29H4 please. That's 29H4, thank you" and then, the pale skinned red headed nurse, Amy, picked up anther phone, dialing in a number while glancing at a notebook, which the number must've been on.

"Hello Miss Cooper?...Hi, Hi yes, this is Amy Pond-Williams from Stelford hospital? I would like to inform you that you son, Kyle, has woken up? Okay, alright, okay thank you, see you soon"

"Two weeks?" He said as Lora hugged him unbelievably tight. Norabella had called Joey and Daniel, and Piper and Paul, and now she sat next to Kyle. "Yes, yes, oh my goodness, I'm so happy" Lora said as she continued hugging him.

"Oh gosh, my head is killing me" he said, laying back down.

"I'm sorry about that. It's definitely going to hurt for a while. I would give you some Advil, but I'm afraid pain killers aren't going to help." Doctor Smith said, him and the other nurses checking him out to check and see how his wounds are doing.

Lora's phone began buzzing in her pocket. "Hello?" She said annoydly as she answered the phone. There was a muffled deep voice on the other end, she rolled her eyes but murmured in response.

"Can't I just break for another day?" She asked, the voice began speaking again and she nodded and nodded.

"Okay...alright I'll- Okay...alright okay. Bye." She hung up the phone and ran a hand through her hair.

"God, I'm sorry Kyle. I have to get back to work. I've been absent for so many days I'm afraid I'll get fired if I don't make up my time on leave" she said. Kyle nodded in understanding. "Hey, it's fine, mama." He said, she gave him a grateful smile and kissed the top of his head.

"I'll drive straight here the second I get off work." She said. He smiled at her, and she gave his forehead a kiss before she left the room with her phone in one hand and bag in the other. After a few minutes, the nurses saw most of everything was healed, minus some bruising of course and headaches.

Soon they cleared out, and so Norabella and Kyle were left. Norabella still not speaking.

"Hey, c'mere" he said, holding his arms out and scooting over on the large hospital bed to make room for her, she looked at him for a second and shook her head. "No, I don't wanna hurt you or something." He rolled his eyes and gave her a look. She huffed, but stood up from her chair and slid next to him, afraid of somehow hurting his bruised side.

He raised an eyebrow at her as she stayed out in a crisscross position.

She rolled her eyes, but smiled as he wrapped both of his arms around her and she laid her head on his chest.

"You scared the hell out of me..." She murmured. He closed his eyes. "I'm sorry" he said.

She finally let her eyes begin watering...Harvey. She would have to tell him. God, he died two weeks ago and it feels like nine years ago. She feels like someone easily carved her heart out with a plastic spon and replaced it with a 100 pound rock.

"He's dead" she whispered. Kyle tilted his head as she sat up, tears flowing down her face as he gave her a confused look.

"Who? What happened?" He said, becoming equally worried and uneasy.

"He has a seizure" she said, her voice breaking midsentence.

"Who? Who did?" He said, having this guilt feeling that something really, really bad happened while he was sleeping...something really, really bad.

"Harvey" she said quietly him hearing still. His eyes instantly watered at the name and he was quick to wrap himself around her as she began crying loudly again. "Oh my gosh...I..." He didn't know what to say. Harvey was a little brother to everyone that was close to the family...what was he suppose to say when you hear something like this? That you've been in a coma for a few weeks and someone died whilst you were in said coma? Gosh, why could they just get a break?

It's like they're in a dramatic T.V show where something bad HAS to happen to keep people interested in the events happening...

Hmm...
