×Chapter 6×
"Hazel... Wake Up" Someone shook me by the shoulders gently, disturbing the lack of sleep I clung to.
Nope. Fuck you. Not today.
"Hazel." The voice was now more firm, the hand still on my shoulder, in defiance I stayed curled up in the ball of blankets. I am not going to school.
"Hazel!" The voice boomed angrily, patience no longer there and by then I could recognise that it was Ron.
I groaned in annoyance, before suddenly Ron shook me by the shoulders quite roughly, which resulted with my head hitting the wall.
"Ouch! Ron you ass!" I snapped out with frustration. I hated mornings and I was beginning to hate Ron too.
Okay maybe I didn't hate him, but still. Did it look like I wanted to get up?
"Your fault" was Rons bemused response, blue eyes showing his own annoyance.
"It was not, it was yours!" I state while finally sitting up and shooting a glare at Ron who easily glared back.
"Okay you two, break it up" William demanded grumpily, before sipping on his coffee. Williams brown eyes avoided meeting mine as he walked between us two and to my newly brought school bag, before throwing it at my face. So he obviously new what I told Ron last night.
Whining at the impact of the bag, I slowly got up with a slouch in my shoulders. "-But...I hate school."
"Every Kid does" Will fired back at me swiftly with a cheesy smile.
Okay, he got me.
"wait, why is everyone in my room" I ask blandly, now noticing Annabelle jumping on my messy bed. Sarah must be at work then.
"You wouldn't wake up for me or Anna. So Ron got you up" Will shrugged carelessly. I nodded, rubbing my head since it somehow now ached. "Okay, well... everyone out"
"Anna come, Hazel is kicking us out." William pouted dramatically, earning an eyeroll from me. With that everyone got out.
Sighing I quickly got changed into a simple outfit and ran down the stairs to head into the kitchen for breakfast.Ron was the only one there, where did Anna and Will go to?
"William left with the kid, Something to do with School", Ron explained to me when he noticed my confused look.
"Oh." Was all I could function to respond with.
"He told me to tell you; eat breakfast and have a good day" Ron muttered tk me like he was some robot taking orders. I cracked a small smile to his direction.
"Yes Mr. I.am.a.robot"
Ron seem to tense at my choice of words, what was his problem? He can never handle a joke I swear.
With a grunt. I grabbed an 'up and go' for Lunch. I never ate Breakfast... I am never hungry in the morning. Everyone used to yell at me, saying; 'Breakfast is the Most important meal of the day and you should blahblahblah'.
Checking the time I knew I had to leave now, or I would be late and being late on the first day was so not the way to go. "So am I walking or-"
Ron cut me off. " I am dropping you off to school."
Oh okay.
So I entered the truck and the drive was surprisingly peaceful compared to last time. That was until we came across a red light and Let me just tell you, it was not pretty.

"Wait... so I go left then right... to get to the cafeteria?" I ask once again for what seemed to be the third time.
I think the principal was getting sick of the amount of questions I was asking him. Couldn't blame him, I was sick of me too.
"Yes Miss Lennox" This made me flinch. God, I need to get use to that.
"Okay...thanks" was all I replied with, before walking off down the corridor to get to class. Well attempt to.
Okay, now where the hell is my Science class?
"Hey! Need help?" A female voice asked me from behind. I slightly jump in surpise, not expecting someone to talk to me at all. Especially since everyone was in class.
"Uhmm.." I slowly face the girl who had spoken to me. She seemed to be my age. Maybe we were in the same year? It looked like it.
"I'm Aneska" Aneska automatically greeted and held out her hand to shake mine, which I gladly accepted. Her bright blue eyes looked at me with curiosity.
"Oh Uhm. I'm Hazel?..." My response didn't sound that confident, but for my diginity, I will pretend it was.
"So, you are new this year right?", she asked tilting her head to the side, making her long black hair rustle a bit.
"Yeah, I am" I replied quietly. Unsure on where this conversation was going. Was it obvious I was lost?
"Are you lost?" Ok, it obvious I was lost. To my defence this school was so big and-...ugh.
"uh, no" I hated getting help, I never accepted it and I never asked for it. I could work it out on my own.
"Well obviously you are, your school guide map is upside down" Aneska pointed out and tapped the piece of paper I was given by the principal.
"No it isn't." I retorted in denial, even though it clearly was. I quickly flipped it around to clumsily hide that factor.
"Oh cool, we got the same classes" The teenager before me now checked my timetable. Wait, how did she get that? Grabbing it, well more like snatching it off her, I nodded earnistly.
"Nice." My brain is not supporting me at all.
"Come with me, I'll can show you around! What a bonus, it must be fate." Aneska exclaimed happily, dragging me down the hallway with a bit too much excitement.
"Aren't we going to be late for class?" I nearly squeak out. I know I hate meeting new people, but I couldn't be late for class on the first day! That is just ridiculous.
"Don't be a party pooper"
"I am not a party pooper."

After being shown around the school, Aneska lead me to the science class at last. Our teacher was Mr. Suppiah and Let us hope is he nice... I hope.
"Why are you two late and don't say you got lost" Suppiah demanded grumpily, pointing a pen to the ticking clock thay showed we were 15 minutes late.
This gathered all attention on us, making anxiety pretty much drown my small frame. "uhm, we got lost?" I say quietly, making Aneska face-palm in agony.
Look, it is not my fault that I don't like the attention on us, or me in particular. Everyone's looking at me with judging eyes, some were whispering, well they wished to be whispering. They were more like shouting. I could just hear them say 'new girl?' or 'who's she?'.
"Aneska sit down" Aneska rolled her eyes, but did eventually sit next to a brunette male who had his feet popped up on the table in a sluggish manner.
"Mr. Stewart, Put your feet off the table now." Even though the brunette did as told, he still slyly replied. "I am making myself comfortable" Aneska snickered at this response, obviously they were friends or something else.
With that Mr. Suppiah rolled his eyes giving up on the two, his attention back on me. "Miss Lennox, Please introduce yourself to the class".
I just stood there, debating on how to do such a horrifying thing. "Miss Lennox" Suppiah pressed more firmly.
"Huh? Oh yeah... me" I muttered really fast, forgetting my last name had changed. Some people had laughed at my stupidity making my cheeks flame in shame.
Shuffling my feet across the shiny ground, I stopped in the middle of the classroom to introduce myself. "uhm, My name is Hazel." I fiddled with my jumper.
Everyone stared at me blandly, waiting for more information, but I didn't say any more. I quickly speed-walked and sat next to Aneska, who smiled at me with her male friend. Okay I guess you could say I made two friends?...that's good enough and plenty for me.
After a couple of sessions, I now sat in the cafeteria with Aneska and her male friend that I still have not been given a name for. Yeah I am just gonna stick with these two, they seem cool.
"I'm Nathan, by the way" The male, now known as Nathan, introduced himself ever so casually.
"Hazel."
"Yeah, I know" Nathan replied with a smile while he ruffled his brown hair. I have found these two and I had a lot in common from what I had found out in class when observing.
Me and Aneska were the same age, but Nathan is a year older. I found out Aneska was a hip hop dancer, and Nathan was a technologist. These two are cool and surprisingly not dating.
Ew, Romance. Can't relate.
By the end of the day, I had been given both their numbers and I had given them mine. You could say... I actually had a good time.
Walking out of the school, Aneska and Nathan waved bye to me while they walked to Starbucks. They had asked me to join, but I didn't want to. I just wanted to get home and try to keep my mood positive.
Sighing I felt my phone vibrate. My bubbly mood halting in that exact moment, I shove my hand in my pants pocket and yanked out my shitty outdated phone.
Squinting my eyes while looking at my phone, that had a badly crack screen, I discover I had received a message from- when did Ron get my number?
"Can't pick you up, walk home."
Yup, the good vibes instantly left as I replied with a bitter feeling in my mouth.
"Thanks asshat."
