SONG: FFDP - Far Away.

Knock. Knock. Knock.
The knocking from my bedroom window disrupted the sleep I was finally getting. I groaned slowly at this, sitting up slowly, my brown messy hair fell around my tired face.
I turned to my bedside table to check the time. "2:17...in the morning?" I mumbled half asleep, confused.
I moved across my bed to the window being knocked on. I opened the white curtains to reveal Ironhides face. I blinked tiredly at this while he did a lazy gesture with his servo. 'Open.'
Eyebrows furrowing, I slowly obeyed and tilted my head at him.
"What do you want Ironhide?. At this time?" I question slightly annoyed. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes while talking, knowing immedietly I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep now.
"Back in Mission City." Ironhide paused. Seeming to hesiate before gaining the courage to continue. "...Did you ever find out if they... found the bodies of your family"
I stared blankly at the hesitant Ironhide, who looked slightly skittish on asking the question. Hurt and anger flooding my senses.
"Ironhide...seriously?" I bitterly replied. "Asking such questions... Now?"
"Seriously" Ironhude nodded his helm, not backing down. His blue optics shined brightly in the dark, reflecting off his black armour.
"Ironhide... I honestly don't know..." I paused and fiddled with my fingers before speaking again. "...Ironhide why are you asking?"
Ironhide shifted on his feet to look behind him, at that moment I noted William standing outfront in his blackops uniform. "I did some research onto your family with Ratchet and William. Although it was confidential, we thought we should see if your family is still out there".
My eyes seemed to sting instantly, hope hitting me. Hoping for good new. I blinked rapidly at the annoying sensation, my heart throbbed painfully. "W-What did you find?"
Ironhide looked away. "Nothing much, it seems the CIA and American Government don't want us to know about the survivors or the fallen from Mission City." He paused, dwelling on something. "I...was hoping you may have known something".
I sighed. Hope shattered. Once again, False hope. I needed to stop believing in things that wouldn't happen. "Ironhide, I know as much as you know."
"Which is?" Ironhide pressed, but he seemed to already know the answer.
"Nothing."

|2 days Later|Monday|
My feet dragged across the ground on the school floorinh. Nathan and Aneska followed behind me, caught up in discussing the latest music hit that I had no interest in.
I looked around the deserted hallway, the bell had gone for us to leave school and today had been an especially long ass day. Something I hated with a passion.
Walking down the steps of the entrance of the school. Hissing, I covered my eyes when the sun hit me in the face. I had hoped for my eyes to adjust faster to the change of lighting.
"Yo man! How long does this school take?" I heard Jazz's voice erupt from the silver car in front of us. We all sighed at thus with Ironhide, Arcee revved loudly instead. Not happy.
"Jazz I told you. Do NOT speak when humans are around!" Arcee's voice scolded in a quiet tone, Ironhide surprisingly remained quiet. No smartass remarks coming from him.
"Oh com'on they took forever, watcha'ya been doin'!" Jazz impatiently asked, pretty much bouncing on his wheels, itching to go. Opening up the passenger door, he allowed Aneska to slide in and muttered a couple of words to him, explaining what had happened during school.
"So impatient sometimes." Arcee continued to complain while Nathan hopped on. Putting on his helmet, he did a thumbs up in signal of being ready to go.
"Yo, race ya Arcee" Jazz challenged in response, revving his engine loudly to frustrate the femme more.
"Whoop!" Aneska urged on the challenge with a smirk, awaiting for the race to begin. She put on her sunnies swiftly with an arm hanging out the window.
Arcee started. "Optimus clearly stated-"
"Eat mah dust!"
Jazz zoomed off and indeed a dust trail was easily spotted. Arcees argument died in seconds and soon she quickly zipped after the silver mech at afast speed.
"Oh brother." I rolled my eyes at Jazz's ego and Arcees dignity, slowly I entered Ironhides alt-form.
The drive was quiet. Deadly quiet and I noticed something was up as we headed to the Autobot base. The weapon specialist was...too quiet. Heck the radio was even off.
"What's going on?..." I asked slowly with a worried tone. Did something bad happen? Was he hurt?
"It seems...someone wants to see you." Ironhide replied quietly, seeming to be deep in thought and obviously he didn't know how to feel on such idea.
A frown formed on my lips at this. Confused. "Who?" I ask instantly with a tilt of my head.
"I, myself do not know. William had received a call and he doesn't seem too happy. He is over protective afterall." Ironhide claimed as we pulled to a stop at the security gates of the Autobot base.
"Ahuh. Like you." I muttered out while blinking in surprise, wondering how fast Ironhide had been driving to get here so fast.
The guards went to bang onto the tinted drivers window, but Ironhide growled threateningly making them jumo back in suprisd. "Dare touch me?,) I shall squish you like a bug!"
Instantly the guards muttered their apologies and immediately nodded to the security in their office. The man pushed a button that opened the electric gate.
I snorted at this and patted the dashboard. "easy there Ironhide. They are just doing their job." I teased and he returned an amused grunt. "Can't help it. They leave dents in my paintjobs from their batons if I allow them to."
"Right and you totally care about your appearance. Who are you, Sideswipe?" I joked lightly while Ironhide drove into the Autobot hanger. The Autobots seemed to be transformed in their vehicle modes, all neatly in a line. Ironhide parked in his spot inbetween Ratchet and Jazz.
Aneska was already sitting on Jazz's hood with a slump posture, slightly leaning towards Nathan. While Nathan leaned against Arcee's alt-mode with a curious expression, helmet hanging off his wrist.
Ironhide sighed loudly and started to sink as if his tires deflated on him, the Autobots must of told him what's happening.
Nice of them to tell everyone, but me.
"Why is everyone so quiet?" I asked Nathan through the open window, making the brunette male shrug at me cluelessly. "I thought you would know".
I frowned at this response. So Aneska and Nathan didn't know.
"Hazel" William appeared at the passenger door, I slightly jumped in surprise. Blinking at his sudden appearance.
"Dad" I claimed with a happy quirk of my mouth and this cause William to smile brightly, before suddenly frowning. "What's... the matter?"
Ironhide opened the door at this and I took that as a sign to hop out. Unbuckling my seatbelt, I exited the vehicle. "Okay. So it is obviously serious...everyone seems to know, but me."
I rambled while walking with William to the middle of the room. William awkwardly shuffled his feet, eyes filled with uncertainty. "It seems...Someone wants to see you again."
"Who? Can someone please explain what's happening!" I demand starting to get anxious and slightly frustrated. Hating that I was being left in the dark, especially since it is about me.
"Hazel!"
A scream of my name echoed the base and instantly I spun around to the call of my name. Eyes wide with startlement. William now looked at the floor with slumped shoulders, Epps patted his back in attempts to comfort his best friend.
Aneska's eyes widened in realisation, she leant over Jazzs hood to whisper to Nathan. The green eyed male now looked at me, before looking at the other person with shock.
"You're alive!"
My jaw slacked and I stared at the woman in front of me. The false hope from days before now turned into something true. My vision blurred when tears filled my eyes.
"I-I don't understand." I stumble out.
"Sweetie..."
"Mum."
