Chapter 10
A knock reverberates through the room, prompting Shoto to look up, a puzzled expression crossing his features. He glances at the others for any sign of recognition.
"Are we expecting anyone?" he queries, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"Not that I know of," Midoriya responds, rising from his seat to answer the door.
The entrance swings open to reveal Monoma, who announces dramatically, "Class B is here to join you for dinner!"
Midoriya's expression brightens with a welcoming smile. "Oh, hello! Come on in," he invites, gesturing for Class 1-B to enter.
"We've also brought Shinsou," Kendo adds, indicating the purple-haired boy standing behind her.
As Class 1-B settles in, the elevator dings, signaling the arrival of the rest of Class 1-A downstairs.
"Oh, you guys are already eating. I should have notified you of our plans to have beef stew together earlier. I apologize!" Iida apologizes, his right arm gesturing as his left remains immobilized in a cast.
"Hey, Tetsutetsu! Bro!" Kirishima's face lights up upon seeing his metal-clad counterpart.
"Kirishima!" Tetsutetsu responds with an equally enthusiastic grin. The two launch into animated conversation, their voices nearly drowning out the room's other chatter.
With a camaraderie akin to brothers, the two execute a hearty handshake.

Meanwhile, Bakugou snorts in mild annoyance and rises from his seat, making his way to the kitchen. "I'll help with the cooking," he declares gruffly.
Observing the reunion, Kazumi grins at her dad and Uncle Tetsutetsu.
"Shinsou! You're here!" Kaminari's face lights up as he approaches the purple-haired boy.
Shinsou rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "Of course I am. You wouldn't stop texting me, begging me to come over," he teases.
"I'm glad you're here. Come, sit with me!" Kaminari gestures towards one of the couches, and the two settle in, engaging in lively conversation. Shinsou listens attentively, his gaze filled with admiration.
Amidst the chatter and camaraderie, the group dispersed throughout the common area, finding their places on the couches, assisting in meal preparation, or arranging tables to form a single large dining area. However, Mineta remained sequestered in his room, presumably serving out a self-imposed exile.
Suddenly, Tetsutetsu forcefully shoves Kirishima to the ground, his voice rising in frustration. "Idiot! Bastard! Stop whining!" he exclaims, his actions taking Kirishima by surprise.
Clutching his cheek where he had been struck, Kirishima responds, "But today, you were totally better than me."
Tetsutetsu's expression softens as he explains, "Since I'm metal, I can withstand heat! But since I'm metal, there is a limit to how hard I can be! I'm different from you, who can get harder the more you're hit! We're both strong in our own ways." He extends his hand to help Kirishima to his feet.
Accepting the gesture, Kirishima grins. "Yeah! Tetsutetsu!" he declares, a renewed sense of determination in his voice.
Observing the exchange, Kazumi sits in awe. "Amazing! How manly!" she exclaims, her admiration evident.
Bakugou groans in exasperation. "Not you too!" he mutters under his breath.
With dinner now prepared, everyone serves themselves a bowl and begins to eat, filling the room with the sounds of clinking utensils and satisfied murmurs.
"Midoriya," Shoto beckons him to step aside for a moment, away from the group.
Responding to the call, Midoriya approaches him. "Yes, Todoroki-kun?" he inquires, his curiosity piqued.
"Just Shoto is fine. Otherwise, it might be confusing with the twins," Shoto clarifies, aiming to avoid any potential mix-ups.
Midoriya blushes and stutters in response, "Right... the twins. B-but then you can call me Izuku."
Accepting the suggestion, Shoto nods and shifts the conversation. "You also had two Quirks?"
Confused by the sudden topic change, Midoriya asks, "Huh?"
"At the sports festival... I'm a little shocked to find out you were hiding a part of your power after you said that," Shoto elaborates.
Midoriya quickly clarifies, "No, no! I think it's a derivation of my Quirk, but it's fundamentally just one Quirk... Today is the first time something like that happened, so I'm surprised myself."
Understanding, Shoto acknowledges, "I see. That must have been hard. Sorry I doubted you. It was crazy, huh?"
"You were amazing, too, Todo- I mean Shoto!" Midoriya praises, a soft smile forming on his lips. "I didn't know you'd gotten so good at using your flames."
Shoto modestly deflects the compliment. "No, I'm not nearly good enough. I'm not that different from you right now, Izuku. That's why... I'm going to aim even higher," he declares before revealing his plans to seek additional training from Endeavor.
"Whoa! That's amazing, Shoto! I'm proud of you! But if that flaming trashcan tries anything, I'll beat him!" Midoriya declares passionately.
Shoto's chuckle fills the air as he playfully teases, "You're cute when you're mad."
Caught off guard by the comment, Midoriya's face flushes crimson, and smoke begins to emit from his body. He quickly hides his face in his hands, feeling embarrassed.
Observing the exchange with amusement, the twins share a satisfied high five, pleased with the interaction between their parents.
"Oh, right!" Kaminari springs up from his seat, a sudden realization dawning upon him. "I have to check on Hikki!"
Shinsou looks up, his expression perplexed. "Talking about that girl, where is she? I haven't seen her yet."
"She's up in her room, resting," Kaminari explains, his words tumbling out in a rush. "During training today, when you got knocked out, she brainwashed Midoriya to calm him down. But in doing so, she overused her Quirk. First, she got a nosebleed, which looked bad, and then she got migraines. She said they're usual with her Quirk."
Shinsou nods in understanding. "Yes, I get those too."
"Do you want to go check on her together?" Kaminari offers, extending his hand.
Accepting the gesture, Shinsou nods and clasps Kaminari's hand. They maintain their hold all the way to the elevator, drawing a knowing glance from Mina, who watches them with a smile.
Their hands remain intertwined until they reach Hikki's room, where they finally release each other, their cheeks tinged with a rosy hue.
Kaminari knocks softly on the door. "Hikki? It's Kaminari and Shinsou. We're here to check on you. Can we come in?"
A weak "yes" drifts from inside the room.
Kaminari opens the door cautiously, and the two boys step inside. Sensing Hikki's discomfort, they quickly shut the door, dimming the harsh hallway light.
"Hey, Hikki, how are you feeling?" Kaminari inquires gently.
Hikki responds with a tired groan. "My head hurts, but I'm not as sensitive to sound and light anymore."
Kaminari breathes a sigh of relief. "That's good to hear."
"Do you want any medication? Painkillers, maybe?" Shinsou offers.
"I already took some painkillers a few hours ago... what time is it?" Hikki inquires.
"It's 8 PM. Do you want something to drink or eat? We made beef stew," Shinsou replies.
"You cooked?!" Hikki's incredulous tone carries a hint of disbelief, her eyebrows shooting up.
Kaminari rolls his eyes, while Shinsou covers his mouth, trying to suppress a laugh.
"No... I didn't," Kaminari clarifies.
"Oh, thank God, so the kitchen is still intact," Hikki responds with relief.
"Hey!" Kaminari's voice unintentionally rises.
Hikki winces, prompting Kaminari to immediately apologize. "Also, Kacchan cooked."
"I wouldn't mind some of the beef stew and some water, but..." Hikki's voice trails off.
"But what?" Kaminari's tone carries a hint of concern.
"I'm not comfortable with going downstairs just yet," Hikki admits quietly.
"Oh, sweetie, that's okay. We'll go get you something and bring it to you. Don't worry," Kaminari reassures her, offering a soft smile. Shinsou raises an eyebrow at the term 'sweetie'.
"Thank you," Hikki responds gratefully.
"No problem."
With that, the two boys leave and head back downstairs to fetch a bowl of stew and a bottle of water.
"Kaminari, Shinsou! Where have you two been?" Mina asks, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.
"Mina!" Kaminari hisses, flushing at her implications.
Shinsou appears oblivious or simply too fatigued to care. "We were upstairs, checking on Hikki," he explains.
"Oh, how is she?" Mina inquires.
"A bit better. We're just getting her something to eat and drink," Kaminari responds, scooping beef stew into a bowl while Shinsou retrieves a bottle of water from the fridge.
They start heading back upstairs. Midway through the hallway, Kaminari suddenly halts, emitting a deep sigh.
Shinsou follows suit, turning to him with a concerned expression. "What's wrong?"
"I just... I worry about her. So, so much. Isn't that weird? I mean, we only met yesterday," Kaminari confesses.
"I don't think it's weird... I feel the same. And I just met her today," Shinsou reassures him.
"Hm..." Kaminari hums, and the two resume their journey.
