My hand slid it's way up my chest and onto the back of my neck, butterflies fluttering around in the pits of my stomach as I stared at Jack. Why was I so nervous? There was nothing to be worried about in the first place, the least you can do is let him enjoy some fun when he gets out of the hospital.

"Mark?" Peeking upwards at him, not noticing I was staring I felt my face grow hot as I tore my eyes away from his. My focus trying to attach itself elsewhere, I found everything in the room too bland compared to Jack.

"Sorry. I was just thinking."

"What were you thinking about? Was it the thing that would make me feel better?"

"Umm, yeah actually."

"Oh! What is it?" Leaning down towards me so our faces were inches apart, I jolted backwards not expecting our lips to be so close. Heat scorching my face, I placed a hand on my cheek trying to cool my blush but to no avail.

"W-Well...." This isn't supposed to be such a big deal, I'm only asking him to hang out after the hospital, so I can make it up to him.

"I was actually wondering if, you wanted to go somewhere after you're discharged from the hospital?" Jack's face fell blank for a second, processing what I had just asked. The expression he was wearing caused my stomach to churn, but it immediately melted away when a smile rose slowly to his lips.

"I want to go more than anything in the world." Chuckles escaping my lips, I glanced back up at him, a small smile resting happily on my lips and an excited gleam shining brightly in his eyes. Opening his mouth, seeming like he was about to say something it was cut off by the sounds of feet tapping against the tile loudly before it was followed by a doctor entering the room.

Jack's smile falling slightly, I watched as he forced it back upwards into a grin. Though it didn't seem as sincere as it had when he was talking to me. The doctor came closer, leaning down slightly and placing something down on the table along with a glass of water. 

When he stood back up again, he grinned as he stared at the two of us and I saw the two pills that were leaning beside the glass of water.

"Sorry, it's just time for Jack to take his medication, I'm very sorry to bother you. I just need to warn you though that the meds can cause drowsiness, so he might fall asleep during your conversation." Jack giggling, seeming to find this somewhat funny he made eye contact with the doctor.

"Oh it's no problem! Thank you for taking such good care of me." Jack placing a hand on the doctors shoulder, he beamed up at him only to receive a soft smile back.

"It's my pleasure."  The doctors moods seeming to be slightly brighter, he walked out of the room, humming some small tune as he left. I guess Jack just has that kind of effect on people. A few seconds going by until the footsteps were out of range, Jack turned back towards me and leaned in, a giant grin plastered across his face and his eyes filled to the brim with adrenaline.

"So where would we go?"

Hey guys,

it's me! I know I haven't updated this in a while, and I wanted to sincerely apologize, I'm on the last stretch of my year in school, and exams have been hitting me left, right and centre, so I haven't had time to update Wattpad since I've been studying.

I'm sorry for those who were waiting for the next update, I know it's been over a month but I promise I'll make it up to you! I promise. I love you all, and the next chapter should be out by Monday since I want to treat you guys.
