Chapter 27

"Hello William." I finally turned around to William who had been following me on my walk, trying to hide his presence.

"Hey..." He kicked a rock with his foot, looking at the ground. I just sighed.

"Do you still hate me?" His voice was small and shaky and I felt like I had been smacked in my mouth and gasped at the borderline physical blow of his words, I rushed in front of him grabbing his rounded cheeks in my hand.

"William I would NEVER hate you. I love you with my heart and soul, I gave my life for yours, and the payment had almost been accepted. How could you think I hated you?" He wouldn't look at me but his eyes seemed ageless.

"You almost died for me... your mates would of died, and I just cause trouble, and I thought maybe... maybe you like Timothy more now." The words weren't all his own, I felt my skin itch, Ivy all but scratching to get her paws on whoever put that in his head.

"Who told you that?" I didn't recognize the tone in my voice, much like how I reacted to the letter only much worse. His eyes jerked to mine and then away.

"No one."

"William, I would never hate you." A hopeful smile took up his face. "But I want to know who told you that." I said softly.

He looked away from me with tears swimming down his young face.

"It was people at school, a lot of them... they don't like me." He hugged his arms around his waist as if protecting himself.... "I'm the weird one, I always know more than they do about different things, and I am the Beta's son, but I wont ever be a Beta because Aaron is and I'm not good enough.... they just..." Tears piled up. "...I'm different" the word came out with such shame and disgust, I sat down on the ground and pulled him on my lap.

"And you think thats a bad thing?" He slowly nodded his head, but rested it on my shoulder instead of looking at me.

"I'm different, there is no one in the world like me. I'm a witch and a werewolf, I have more scars than people have friends, I was one of the few rouge wolves not to be mean... am I bad because I am different?"

"No." His voice was strong for the first time.

"We are unique my dear boy, and when people get their hands on something beautiful and unique, they want to break it, they want to be it, and if they can't they don't want to admit its special-ness. Don't let them hurt you my darling boy, you are different and when you say that from now on I want it to be with pride. Now, lets do something fun." I stood up and looked down at his cast and sling before shifting, my clothes tore but I wasn't worried about it.

'Hop on, wrap your good arm around my neck.' I said through the pack link, he climbed up on my brown wolf, small but muscular Ivy purred and nuzzled William as he put his arm around our neck. Then I took off, I heard his gasps and giggles, I made sure to stay in pack lines. Finally I used my magic when I was sure he had a good grip and pushed the air behind me, making the run so fast everything simply blurred.

"WOW! Ivy, you guys are so fast", we purred and ran our head along his chest. Kids came running up yelling, I stuck my tongue out in a sloppy grin and laid down on my stomach when Angel asked for a ride. Her parents watched, they were scared for her I could tell, but then again she had died recently.

'We trust you.' Her mothers voice was followed with a smile, I nodded and shook when Angel climbed up and with her giggling I took off in circles staying where all the parents could see as kids giggled and awed, and I felt the worries of my old pack fade.

I was wearing my pajama shorts and Levi's t-shirt when I walked out of the bathroom, wearing clothes that showed my scars wasn't a fear anymore, though I was never ashamed of them, I didn't want to make people uncomfortable. I began to realize that my pack never made me feel that way intentionally. I walked out and saw Levi staring out at the yard, I still felt the guilt pulling at me, I had used my powers against him and he and Leo said nothing at all to me all day, after the ride with the kids, dinner had been tense and awkward. I sighed and walked up behind him wrapping my arms around his waist and resting my head on his back.

"I'm sorry." It took a moment to realize he was the one who said it.

"What are you sorry for? I am the one who used my powers against you." Though I don't regret knowing, or what I had to do to own, I do regret that it even occurred to me to use my powers to get what I wanted. He grabbed my arms and pulled me so my head was resting on his chest instead, my arms still tight around him.

"I shouldn't of even tried to hide it from you..." He laid his chin on my head. "But I am always so scared I am going to loose you, that your memories will come and take you away, having not just the memories of your past, but your past itself become a threat to the happiness I am just getting, its scary." He voice was deep and thick, I could hear the tears in it. I stepped on my tiptoes and kisses his neck.

"I love you, and nothing will take me from you." I whispered, tears burning at my eyes, at the thought of leaving him. "When I first met you I was so scared, so sad that you would reject me or use me, knowing you love me is something I would never give up."

"To think you could of died and we would of been the pack to kill you, it makes me not want to kill any rouges." I felt my whole body tighten when I looked him in the eyes.

"Never trust a rouge, even the good ones I knew would kill a child, the one woman I knew who was a good rouge, died. She was a made wolf. Never let them come in because of what could of happened to me." I searched his green eyes. " I am sorry I used my powers against you, but I am not sorry I know." The pain in his eyes is what started my next movements, I laced my fingers around his neck and brought his lips to mine and pulled his body close with mine, I felt the hard length of him against my stomach and moaned into his kiss, it was liberating and dangerous. "Ivory!!" Grams voice came through the door and we pulled apart, his eyes were bright green and a growl slipped through his lips, I kissed his lips and moved toward the door.

"I need your help, we need 2,000 cookies before the morning." I felt my mouth drop open.

"What in the heavens for?"

"School, the elementary school had a human whom died, I want to make cookies for William to bring in." I turned to Levi who nodded distractedly, I moved to him and kissed him once more.

"I'll be back." Leo wasn't due back until tomorrow because of a sleeping thing with Aaron... sleep over? I think that was what it was called. I turned to Grams.

"Lets go make cookies." I let her lead me out the door and laughed when I saw the mess in the kitchen.

I heard music coming from the bathroom when I came back to the room. Did I leave it on when I left? I couldn't remember turning it off, so I went into check on it when I saw Levi with shaving cream on his face and a towel around his waist, their were goosebumps on his skin and I felt my mouth go dry. As if on instinct I reach toward him and felt the coolness of his skin, I looked to the shower and realized it.... He took a cold shower, I felt a slow smile fill my face.

"A cold shower?" His face turned red in a blush.

"It helps..." He mumbled going back to his shaving, I had lost my shorts, they were covered in flour so I was in his t shirt and underwear, deciding now was a good time to put to use what I learned I climbed on the counter as he watched me, grabbing the razor from his hand I started shaving his face, his throat bobbed as he watched me with intense eyes, his hands gripping my thighs as if his life or sanity depended on it... maybe both. When I woke up I was in bed with Levi next to me, I though it was getting brighter outside but I realized it was a lamp. I squinted against the light and saw Leo sitting in a chair, for a few moments he just stared at me. I sighed and climbed out of the bed putting my pillow in Levi's stretching arms. I watched as he curled to it and went back to a deep slumber. I moved toward Levi and realized his eyes were red and dried tear tracks coated his cheeks, I offered him a smile and climbed on his lap. Soon enough he sighed and put his arms around me and laid his head on mine.

"I love you." I whispered.

"I love you most." he croaked quietly.

"Not even possible." I said laughing softly. I wrapped my arms around his neck and and soon felt his breathing go soft and shallow. I smiled, my crazy silly mates, if only they knew I would do anything in my power to stay with them.

Goddess help me, I couldn't live without them.

"William!" I chirped jumping on his bed.

"Ugh." he mumbled under his pillow.

"Wakey Wakey!!! Or no eggy and bakey." I sang... ish. More like screamed.

"That's cheating." He grumbled but hopped out of bed, I let up the cold air as soon as he was in the bathroom before jumping once more and laying on his bed.

"Your bed is soooooooo comfortable." I shouted.

"Yea... it was." He glared at me as he grabbed his clothes and shut the bathroom door, I laughed when his shower turned on and left.

"KATTTT" I yelled laughing and grabbed her hand when I saw her and Roxy in the hall and started dragging her with me, Roxy laughed and clutched Kat's hand.

"Where are we going?"

"To wake Aaron up! Aria told me to wake him and William up." We ran to his room and I shushed them with my hands and held my hand up and pulled out the water bottle I was carrying and dumped it into the air but keeping in a ball. I dropped the bottle and started to work the water until there was a very large amount. I nodded to the door and sent the water bubble high so he wouldn't see it but I could drop it on him.

"Oh my goddess!!" I turned bright red when I realized Aaron was with Saloon and they were not asleep. Unfortunately in my moment of complete and utter shock, I forgot about the water and bubble dropped... on Roxy, Kat and me. I couldn't even move, and I don't think anyone else could. All three of us had our mouths open and looking green staring at a bright red Saloon under a pale and naked Aaron who was to shocked to even cover his butt cheeks that were up in the air. And that is how Leo found us.

"What are you guys looking so weird about? You look like fish with their... Holy fuck!" he glowered and slammed the door shut and a muffled 'Thank you' came through the door. I continued to stare at the door, I just saw... I looked at Kat and Roxy then we looked at the Leo and burst into hysterics falling on each other.

"Its not funny!!" Came through the door.

"No it's not." Leo hissed back. Then looked at us again.

"Why are you wet?" That's when we really lost it, I felt my cheeks start to ache and my stomach cramp.

"You should..." I choked. "seen his face".

"Oh my god! His ass was in the air." Kat was clutching her smiling face and Roxy was just leaning on her, appearing to die of laughter. Not a bad way to go. I grinned up at Leo and saw that his eyes were bright blue... okay, so maybe its not as funny to him. I felt my humor sober up.

"I didn't see anything Leo." I sent the now somber girls a look, they took the hint and left. I grabbed his hand and pulled him to me.

"We were going to wake him up with a water bubble when we saw it, I lost focus and it landed on us." I shrugged. "I saw nothing but his butt cheeks and pale face. For the most of part all of us were to horrified to even move. Calm down." I urged, he gave me a half smile and a sigh before wrapping his arms around me and all but carried me away from the hallway, grumbling under his breath. I laughed and curled farther into him.
