Breaking the Loop

Disappointing? Yes.
Shall I try again?
Maybe after rebuilding myself.
Should I close my doors?
No. But I'll limit access.
Should I talk about it with hate?
No. But rather I'd cling onto happy memories because that happened. We happened.
Do I regret it?
No. I fought for it until it lasts.
I fought for it until I gaslight myself because you matter to me. I fought for it until I realized I was abandoning me.
Am I looking for you after you left?
No. But you'll always be a memory.
If I have to meet you for the first time will I change anything?
No. But maybe instead of abandoning me to save a relationship, I'd choose me not because of pride, but because I know not everyone will do it for me.
Do I regret meeting you?
No. I met you for a reason and you served your purpose in my life.
Should I apologize for the inconvenience I've caused?
Yes. I'm just human anyway. I'm not perfect, but my principles have standards that shaped my judgements.
Do I wish you ill after the pain you caused me?
No. I want to free myself from the pain I didn't deserve.
Do I still care and love you?
Yes. But thanks to this experience, I came to love me more.
If you had one wish about us, what would it be?
I wish for our separate happiness and mutual respect. Our journey together may reached it's impasse, but it's not the end of our worlds even if we fell apart.
