One day in June, Cole collapsed in the park at recess. The children were unable to wake him up, so he was brought to the emergency room. Skyler was excused from school.

When she met their parents at the hospital, she told them what had happened. They were shocked. The doctors to,d the, it might've been because of too much sunlight. That was quite unlikely, as Cole spent multiple afternoons each week at the parks and streets in town. He often got a lot of sunlight. What had happened?

His transformation happened. After leaving the hospital, his skin was pale, and his eyes turned from brown to a light hazel. Even some of his hair fell out. This worried his parents, but he assured them he felt fine, except for the strange occurrence of his craving of raw meat. They had sushi and steak four nights a week for the next two weeks. Those dinners cost them a lot.

"Cole, why have you been wanting so much meat lately?" Skyler sat on his bed at 10:43 pm. "Mom and Dad aren't very happy with the cost of it all." She pulled the sheets up to his chest. "Why don't you let them get something cheaper, like chicken?"

"Don't laugh, but when I eat the steak it's like another part of me is being unlocked."

"Dang, Cole, I think you're becoming a vampire!" Skyler laughed, and so did Cole, but not very meaningfully.

"That sounds right. That just sounds true. I'm a vampire...yeah. That feels right. I'm a vampire."

"Okay, sure, Cole. I believe you. There's evidence, but I need more." She chuckled. "Love you. Good night."

"Good night, Skyler. I'll see you in the morning."

"See you in the morning."

I wrote 293 words! Considering the twenty chapters I recently wrote tonight, this chapter is pretty lengthy. I think I'm starting to have ideas for this book. OH MY GOSH I AM DONE WITH THE WRITING CHALLENGE. @cherryblossom480 I MADE IT!!!! I FINISHED, AND ALTHOUGH THESE STORIES TOOK A YEAR, I'M STILL REALLY HAPPY. THANK YOU @cherryblossom480 FOR CREATING THIS CHALLENGE AND ALLOWING ME TO BE APART OF IT. CAN YOU TELL I'M EXCITED??? THANK YOU, THOUGH. I LOVE YOU. I ALSO WANT TO DO THIS CHALLENGE AGAIN. I THINK I WILL I'll hopefully update some story tomorrow. Bye the few readers who've actually made it this far!
