Abused

"Wishes can come true"

I was abused most of my life. My father was the one who took hostage of me. My mother was kicked out by my father because he through she was cheating on him when really it was him who was cheating on my mother. I spend most of my life in and out of school and home. My half brother took go care of me when my father was either drunk or had abused me. Even if he was my half brother, I still count him as my family.

On the day of court, our father told us to lie and if we didn't he would come back and abuse us like he did when he kicked out my mother. I didn't listen to his bullshit and when the judge asked us about our father, I told him everything. My father tried to lie out of it but my half brother stood up for himself to. My father was then arrested for years of abuse to us and my mother got us back again after 15 years of fighting against my father.

I then felt like myself again after my father was arrested and I finally could be happy again. The one thing that boggles my mind is will he come back again?

"Bye babe" Aaron kisses my forehead and leaves for work. I never really told Aaron about my father and what he did. It's been about 9 years since I last saw my father in person. I still communicate with my half brother and my mother never wants to see my father again after what happened. She also filed a divorce with my father and I should really stop calling him my father when really, he isn't. I then heard a knock on the door.

I was confused as the knock got louder. I processed to walk to the door and open it. My eyes widen as I saw who it was.

Zack.

"I knew I would find you" He had a smirk on his face as he walked into my house. He looked around the house and then looked at me.

"You've got a nice house, darling"

"What the hell are you doing here?" I yelled at him. He then slapped me, hard.

"No cussing" He told me while picking up my chin. I pushed away from him which made him even more mad at me.

"You're not my dad anymore and I can do anything I want since I'm adult now"

"Who told you that?"

"My mother"

"Haha! You're mother is liar"

"Are you sure about that because I remember the day of court that you told me and Ein to lie to the judge just to abuse us even more!" He slapped me again.

"Do you remember what I told on that day?" My eyes widen again.

"It looks like you still do, that's why I'm here" He started.

"Here for my revenge"

I lied on the floor lifeless. I couldn't get up. I was too weak from what Zack did to me.

"Now, you're going to be a good daughter and not tell anyone or else"

"I not you're daughter and I will never be you're daughter like how you will never be my father" He hit me again.

"Ouch!" I lied on the floor with tears dripping down my face. I let out a loud sob and he continued hitting me.

"Shut it before I give you something to cry about!" I could only hope for a miracle. Then, the door knob started to turn. Zack was still here and if Aaron found out what was happening, he would kill him. Zack went for the back door and ran out the house as fast as he could. I didn't want to see Aaron's reaction. What would he think? Then, the door opens.

"Aph, I'm-" His eyes landed on me.

"Aph! What happened!" He ran to my side and picked me up carefully. He put me on the couch and ran into the kitchen. He grabbed a aid-kit and went back to me. He started wrapping any bruises I had. Let's say I had 7 bruises around my legs and arms, 8 cuts along my arms and a bruised eye.

I wanted to cry. All I wanted to was cry and hope that all of this was a dream but it was and you know why? Dreams don't hurt you physically. They only hurt you mentally.

"Aph" Aaron called out my name. I was scared for what was gonna happen. I thought Aaron is going to be mad at me because I wasn't strong enough to fight Zack off.

"What happened?" He asked calmly. I knew I couldn't lie to him about this but I didn't want Zack to come again and beat me up again.

"I-I can't remember"

"Huh?"

"I can't remember, all I saw was a man who wore black and started beating me up. . ." I heard him growl a bit. I felt more tears coming down my face.

"Are you mad at me?"

"What? No, I'm mad that someone came here and beat you up" I was silent for a second.

"Aph? Can you walk?"

"No, I tried to but it only hurt more as I tried"

"Then, you should rest then"

"What?"

"You should rest, if you need anything, I'll get it for you"

"C-Can you get my phone then?"

"Sure" He went upstairs and got my phone for me. As soon as I got my phone, I had to text someone immediately.

[Aphmau] We need to talk

[Ein] Woah, this is sudden. I usual get a 'hey' but guess today's not the day

[Aphmau] Seriously, today isn't the day

[Ein] What happened? Did Aaron break your heart? I swear to Irene if that boy did anything to you I will kick his ass

[Aphmau] Overprotective much, huh? No, he didn't and sometimes I really feel like you replace our mother when she not around me

[Aphmau] Anyways, I really need to talk to toy

[Ein] I'm listening

[Aphmau] About Zack

[Ein] What!

[Ein] Why would we talk about him!

[Aphmau] He found out where I lived and started abusing me

[Aphmau] Ein?

[Ein] This is bad

[Aphmau] It is and I can't do much about it and that's why I came here to you

[Ein] Why didn't you go to Aaron?

[Aphmau] Zack threaten me not to tell anyone or else he would do worse to me

[Ein] . . .

[Aphmau] Don't give me those dots! They scare me sometimes

[Ein] Sorry but what are you going to do?

[Aphmau] I don't know

[Ein] Aphmau listen to me, if things get worse, you need to tell Aaron

[Aphmau] What? Why!

[Ein] He's the only help you have and if you tell mom, he'll do worse remember?

[Aphmau] Yeah, you're right

[Ein] For now, keep a low profile with Aaron and don't tell him until things get worse

[Aphmau] Thanks Ein

[Ein] You're welcome, now I gotta go, hope to see you soon!

[Aphmau] Same to you!

I send off the last message and turn off my phone. I put my phone down on the couch and watch whatever is on TV.

- 3 months later -

"Now, where we're we~?" He started.

"Oh right" He slaps me across the face again. I fall on the ground due to my legs being so weak from being kicked. I almost blacked out when he slapped me. I tried to get up but he pushed me back down, hard.

"I can't wait to have more fun~!" He laughs. What else more could I do when I'm such a weak person. All could hope for another miracle. My vision then got blurry and I blacked out.

I woke up again on something comfy. I open my eyes to see that I'm on the couch. I look at the window and see the stars light up the night. Not everything that's drenched in darkness is always scary. I smile to see the night light up. It reminds me of a memory I had when I young. When I still had a mother and a father who loved me.

"Mommy?" 7 year old me called to my mother who was sitting with my father, staring at the night sky.

"Yes mija?

"What are you doing out here?"

"Admiring the night sky"

"Admiring?"

"Yes, want to join us?" She patted the ground where no one is sitting and I sat down next to her.

"Mommy?"

"Yes mija?"

"Why are you not scared of the night sky?"

"What do you mean?"

"The night sky is scary"

"Oh mija, not everything that is drenched in darkness is always scary. Sometimes, the night sky might be but once you get used to the night sky, I'll be the most beautiful thing you ever saw"

"Really?"

"Yes, stars also lead us to our future, our pathways and sometimes, even relatives who try to talk to us"

"That's right, even if you think there's no answer, the stars always have an answer"

"Now, let's make a wish and get to bed"

"Okay!" I stare into the night sky and only ask of one thing. I make my wish then my mother picks me up. We walk back into the house and I set for bed.

I almost cried at that thought. What ever happened to that happy family 18 years ago? Where did it even start at? Oh yeah, it started when my mother found out my father was cheating on her and then accused her of cheating on him. I hear heavy footprints coming from behind me. I put my hands over my face so I don't have to see his reaction.

"Aph?" I ignore him.

"Aph"

"What do you want?" I try to say over my tears falling down my face.

"Are you okay?"

"That's a stupid answer to ask but no" I laugh a bit.

"Sorry" I peck through my hand and see Aaron a bit disappointed. I raise my hand to his cheek and lay it there.

"Aaron"

"Yeah?"

"If your thinking that's it's your fault, it's not"

"Mhm"

"I know you don't want to talk about it but at least tell me what happened"

"Fine. ."

I got out of the car and when I was walking to the door, I saw it open. I got confused at first and started waking towards it. I heard a lot of yelling and then a slapping noise from inside. I got worried and went it anyways. I walked in and saw Aphmau on the ground, unconscious and another person who looked like if he was in he's early 50's. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He then turns to me.

"Well, well. If it isn't Aaron Lycan"

"What are you doing here?" I felt the shade of red coming onto my eyes.

"Oh nothing, just giving her my revenge" He says as he hits Aphmau. I walked towards him and turned him around. I pushed him, hard and he fell to the ground. I immediately got my phone out and called the police. They arrived after 10 minutes after I called them.

I told what happened and they told me who he was. I was shocked to find out but it was better for him to be arrested. They left and I picked Aphmau up from the ground and placed her on the couch.

I got aid-kit out started wrapping any bruises or spot that were bleeding. I got done and went to the kitchen to get something else for you and then I saw you turning and then your eyes opening up.

When Aaron finishes telling me what happened. I saw tears in his eyes. I wiped away his tears that fell. I could see that he was holding in a lot of tears.

"Aaron, don't hold it in. It's okay to cry"

"I know, it just hurts" I saw him look down. He may be disappointed but at least he could do something for me.

"Aaron?"

"Yeah babe?"

"Could you take me outside?"

"Why?"

"I just want to remember the good times I had under the stars"

"Alright then" He picks me up and opens the door we go outside and see the starts lighting up the night sky. We sat down and he puts me in his lap and wraps his arms around me.

"You know, being under the stars makes me realize something"

"What?"

"That wishes do come true" I kissed him and he kissed back. We sat under the stars until I fell asleep in Aaron's arms.
