Chapter 25

Previously on Chapter 24

Aang looks upset as Katara and Sokka walks ahead of us. I walk towards him and pat his shoulder. "I'm sure the whistle works for something... don't worry, Aang..." I said, smiling softly at him. "Thanks, Y/N" he said, giving me a small smile. Then we follow the others.

-Pirates Means Trouble-

Y/N P.O.V

We continue to walk around the town. We walk pass a man, who's trying to get people to visit their ship. I can already tell he's not a good person from the way he's dressing.

He turns to look at us. "You there!" He said. He runs towards us as we stop walking to look at him. "I can tell from the way you're dressing you're some world traveling type... perhaps I can introduce you to some exotic curios?" He said. "Sure! What are curios?" Aang said. The man looks at him with a straight face.

"I'm not entirely sure... but we got 'em" he said. He wraps an arm around Aang and starts leading him towards the ship. Something's not right about him.

I look around the ship. They have a lot of exotic stuff like they said they have. I turn to look at Aang as he looks at something in the shelf. While Katara stares at an ornate monkey statue.

"I've never seen such a fine specimens of lemurs" I hear someone said. I turn my head to see a man as he walks into the room. One look from him, I can already tell he's not someone I'd like to mess with. His demeanor screams trouble.

"Those two beasts would fetch me a hefty sum if you'd be interested in bartering..." he said. I can see an iguana parrot on his shoulder. It squawks at us. Momo and l/n chitters back.

"Momo's not for sale..." Aang said, pulling Momo in his embrace. "l/n neither" I said, crossing my arms across my chest. I can see he looks annoyed by our response. But I couldn't careless. l/n is my pet... she is my family.

I turn my head to look at Katara. She's looking at a bunch of scrolls. She grab one and pull it out. I walk over to her as she unrolls the scroll. I can see a lot of drawings with poses.

"Look at this Aang! Y/N! It's a water-bending scroll! Check out these crazy moves!" She said, excitedly. I just stare at it. I have a strong memories, it's easy for me to memorize anything.

"Where did you get a water-bending scroll??" Aang said, turning to look at the man looking excited. The man walks towards us and snatch the scroll away. I glare at the man. It's clear that he didn't get it nicely, judging by how hostile he's being.

"Let's just say, I got this up North for a reasonable price... free!" He said. He turns and place the scroll back in the shelf. The more I'm here... the more I'm getting the feeling that these people can't be trusted.

"Wait a minute. Sea-loving traders, with suspiciously  acquired merchandise... hmm and pet reptile birds. You guys are pirates!!" He yelled, as he turns to the man that leads us here.

"We prefer to think ourselves as "high risks traders" type of people" the man said. Okay, that's just prove my assumption. I'd like to leave as soon as we can. I turn my head to see Katara holding the money we've had left with a hopeful look on her face.

"So... how much for, uh, traded scroll?" She said. Did she really think of negotiating a pirate? Oh this isn't going to end well. The captain turns to look at her. He smirks as he stares at Katara.

"Well... I have already got a buyer. A nobleman from the Earth Kingdom. Unless, of course, you kids have two hundred gold pieces on you right now..." he said. Aang just smile as he turns to Katara to whisper in her ear.

Katara hands him the money. He walks up to the captain. "Let's say to the price of, one copper piece?" He said, showing him the money. Aang... you have to be kidding me.

"The price is two hundred gold pieces. I don't haggle on item this rare" he said. Aang didn't back down and still attempt to look like a Pirate. "Okay... how about... two copper pieces?" He said, with a grin on his face. But the captain didn't look amuse at all.

"It's not as amusing the second time, boy..." he said. I let out a sigh and walk over to him. "Aang... let's just drop it, okay?" I said. "What? Don't you wanna learn?" He asked. I open my mouth to respond, but Katara walks over and places her hands on my back.

"Aang, Y/N... can we just get out of here? I feel like we're getting weird looks" she said. Aang just look at her. "Aye, we be casting off now" he said, in weird pirate voice. We turn around and walks out of the ship.

"What was that all about?" Aang asked. "Yeah. I was just starting to browse their boomerang collection..." Sokka said. Katara lets out a sigh. "I'll just feel a lot better once we get away from here..." she said. Okay, she's definitely hiding something.

"Hey you! Get back here!" One of the Pirate man said. Aang turns to look at him with a grin. "Well well... look who's finally care to their senses. Told you the haggling would pay off" he said, smirking happily.

Suddenly, the rest of the pirates jumps out of their ship armed. They start running towards us with an angry looks on their faces. It instantly told us they're not here to haggle.

"I don't think these pirates are here to trade with us" Katara said. She turns around and runs away. The rest of us instantly follows her.

We run around the small village, trying our best to get rid of the pirates from our tails. Sheesh... what's wrong with these people. Why are they suddenly charging at us.

We turn around the corner only to realize we're in a dead end. I turn my head to see the pirates blocking our path. They have a smug look on their faces. I lift my glider higher.

"Now, who gets to taste the steel of my blade first?" He said, showing us his swords. "No thanks..." Aang said. He use his air-bending and send them away. I open my glider. "Katara! Grab on tight!" I said. I run towards the pirates.

"Guys! I thought we were running away from them!" Katara yelled. "Just hang on!" Aang yelled. Katara jumps and holds onto me. Sokka did the same with Aang. We jumps over the pirates head and flies away from them.

We put a good distance between us to make sure the pirates can't chase after us. I land on the ground as Aang did the same. I sit on the ground and breathe heavily, feeling tired from bending so much.

"I used to kind of look up to pirates. But those guys are terrible!" Aang said. "Tell me about it..." I said, huffing. Katara smirks mischievously as she looks at us. "I know... that's why I took this!" She said, as she takes out the water-bending scroll.

"No way!" Aang said. "You're crazy!" I said. "Isn't it great?" She said, proudly. "No wonder they were all trying to hack us up! You stole their water-bending scroll!" Sokka said, angrily. "I prefer to think of it as a high risk trading" she said, giggling. I let out a soft giggle at what she said.

"Good one, Katara..." Aang said. But Sokka still looks angry. Katara sighs softly as she turns to look at him. "Sokka, where do you they got it? They stole it from a water-bender!" She said. "It doesn't matter! You had just risk our lives just so you could learn some stupid, fancy splashes!" He said. "These are REAL water-bending forms. You know how crucial it is for Aang and Y/N to learn water-bending!" She said, not liking the fact that Sokka keeps blaming her.

"Whatever!" Sokka said, as he storms off angrily. I let out a sigh at their bickering. I have to admit what she did was wrong. We could have ended up losing our life's.

"Well... what's done is done... we have it, we might as well learn from it" Aang said. Katara and I just nod our heads in agreement. I turn my head to look at Sokka who's sitting by a rock. He rolls his eyes at us. I sigh softly at his reaction. 'It's alright, Y/N... he will come around...' I thought to myself. Just like Aang said. We have the scroll. We night as well we learn.
