It was a normal day, and you were getting your horse ready for the expedition once more.

"Hey, (F/N)" Eren says.

"Hey, Eren what's up?" You ask.

"Oh, nothing much, I was just wondering if your ready for this expedition?" He questions slightly nervous.

"Yep, I'm ready, but you look a bit nervous, mind telling me why?" You ask.

"O-oh, i-its nothing, I'm just having problems with something is all." Eren says trying to avoid the topic.

"Let me guess, its about Mikasa, right?" You say and Eren's face is brighter than a tomato.

"H-h-how d-do you k-know?!" He stutters.

"Eren, its pretty obvious that you have some sort of feelings towards her, though I always thought you looked at her like a sister." You say.

"W-well, the reason I did that was because-" He started, but you interrupted.

"Because, you thought that was the best way to keep the way things are now, is that correct?" you ask.

Eren nodded.

"I want to know if you could help me out?" He asks and you let out a long sigh.

"Eren, listen, I can't help with your feelings, after all they are your feelings, but I will say this in life you'll realize that there is a purpose for every person you meet. Some are there to test you, some will use you, some will teach you, and then there will be that one person that brings out the best in you. If that person brings out the best in you and you bring out the best in them, then you know that you are meant to be." You say, but continue to talk.

"But, if you ask me, I would say you two are meant to be because you bring the best out of each other without even trying."

Eren's expression relaxes in one of relief and happiness.

"Thank (F/N), I think I will confess after this expedition." Eren says before walking away.

You turn back to your horse and think to yourself 'kids these days are really lucky to have the confidence to confess. But, then again I'm going to confess too after this expedition.'

"Hey (F/N)." You hear Levi's voice behind you.

"Yeah, do you need something Levi?" You question.

"Your wearing that hat to the expedition?" He asks.

"Oh, you mean my fedora, yeah why?" You ask him.

"That's the hat you first showed up in, isn't it?" Levi continues to ask.

"Yes, it is why?" You ask back.

"Nothing important, but it does suit you I guess." Levi says.

"Okaaay, I guess, but I have to get ready so I'll see you later." You say.

"Whatever, stupid brat." He says before quickly walking off.

'Well, that was odd.' You think.

——————————————————-Time Skip——————————————————

You are currently in front of the gate, waiting for the expedition to begin.

Erwin is giving his speech, after he's done he shouts "FORWARD!!!".

Everybody charges forward beyond the gate.

"Two 7-meter titans are on the right!" a cadet shouts.

"Ayame, Maynard!" You call them.

"Yeah, yeah, you don't have to tell me." Ayame says before heading towards one of the titans, with Maynard heading towards the other one.

"Two 15-meter titans to the left!" Another cadet shouts as soon as Ayame and Maynard left.

"Lola!" You shout to her.

"Yeah, lets go!" Lola shouts as you and her leave the rest to go towards the other two titans.

"Crap, another 15-meter titan, and this one's an abnormal!" A cadet shouts.

After you quickly dispose of the the titan you turn and see a shocking image.

Erwin had just lost an arm to the abnormal titan.

"Erwin!" you hear Ayame shout and quickly kill off the abnormal titan.

You make your way towards Erwin as quickly as possible.

"(F/N)!" Ayame shouts.

"Yeah, I know." You say kneeling next to Erwin, placing your hand on the place where he lost his arm. You begin to chant something, Erwin grunts in pain, but you ignore him and continue to chant with your eyes closed. After your done chanting, you open your eyes and see the Erwin has his arm back.

"There, good as new." You say as you get up.

"Thanks." Erwin says.

"No problem." You say, but as you turn around you see a figure in the corner of your eye.

As you turn to see the figure, you immediately see that its a person in a lab coat. The same lab coat you saw when the people who first captured you had on.

You eyes widen as you begin to shake uncontrollably as memories of those horrible experiments take over your mind.

"Oi, brat, what's wrong?" Levi says as he walks towards you, but you see that the person in the lab coat is holding something and is pointing it right at Levi.

You quickly snap out of your trance and turn towards Levi.

"LEVI, MOVE!!!" You shout at the top of your lungs, but its too late. You hear a loud 'bang' as the gun in the person's hand goes off.

Levi falls to the ground, everyone is standing still, but you immediately react to the situation.

"Ayame, Maynard, catch that guy! Lola, go get Akame, I bet she might know who this is! I'm going to go help Levi!" As you shout this everyone does as they're told. You run to Levi's side and flip him onto his back.

You see blood blossoming his chest cavity.

"Levi, say something!" You shout, but get no response in return.

You hurriedly check everywhere to get a pulse, but you feel nothing. Dreading the worst you put your head to his chest. Nothing, that is what you hear.

Tears cascade down your face as you fall back gripping you head in both hands, rocking back and forth, repeating 'this isn't happening' over and over again.

You suddenly remember something.

'Yes, I can use that, its not too late.' You think as you quickly compose yourself. You look up with fire in your eyes, you bring yourself to Levi once more, you put up a barrier around yourself.

___________________________Lola's POV___________________________

After getting Akae and bringing her over to where (F/N) was, I see that she created a barrier around herself.

'Why, would she do that?' I thought, but as soon as I got closer I see the dead Levi next to her.

My eyes widen in realization at what she is doing.

'No way, she wouldn't.' I thought as I run towards the barrier, but I was instantly thrown back by the force, but that didn't stop me, I got up and started to slam my fist on the barrier, trying to break it with sheer force.

I then see that (F/N) is chanting something, while creating hand signs so fast that her hands are nothing but a blur.

"(F/N) STOP, YOU CAN'T, YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU USE THE FORBIDDEN SPELL!!!!!" I shout, causing Maynard and Ayame to stop what they were doing, they then hand the person off to one of the cadets before running towards me, and try and help in breaking the barrier, but to no avail.

'I'm sorry, everyone.' You think as you continue to chant and perform hand signs at rapid speed.

Your body begins to glow a light blue, you finish your hand signs and start to place one hand on Levi's wound and the other on his forehead.

You continue chanting, ignoring the pleas and shouts of everyone around you.

_____________________________Levi's POV_________________________

'Tch, where the hell am I?' I think as I continue to walk in the endless darkness the surrounds me.

'I remember that (F/N) was acting strange, but then I heard a gunshot, then I ended up here.' I think trying to figure out where I am.

"Hey, Levi." I hear a familiar voice behind me.

"Hey, (F/N), do you know where we are?" I ask and I see a speck of sadness in her eyes before she says "Yeah, of course, and I have to say that your heading the wrong way."

"Well, then why don't you show me the right way." I shot at her.

"Yeah, just follow me." (F/N) says before grabbing my wrist and heading towards the opposite direction of where I was walking moments ago.

Suddenly, a bright light engulfs us both.

I snap my eyes open, and all I see are blurry figures. I blink a few times, trying to get everything in focus again. After a few seconds, I can see that almost everybody surrounding me. I immediately sense that something is wrong. I take another look around at everybody, and I see that (F/N) isn't in the crowd.

"Hey, where's (F/N)." I ask, but no one answers.

"Tch, I said where is (F/N)." I say a little louder, but then I notice that no one is meeting my gaze, not even Isable, Farlen, or my old squad is looking me in the eyes.

"I'll repeat it once more, where is (F/N)." I hiss through my teeth.

"She's over there." Akame says and points to a direction, I follow my gaze to where she pointed, and I see (F/N) standing there with her back turned towards us.

I slowly get up, and make my way towards her. Once I'm right behind her, I ask

"What the hell is going on with everybody, (F/N)?"

But, (F/N) still isn't facing me when she talks.

"Um, its nothing you should worry about, Levi." She replies slowly.

"Tch, aren't you gonna face me?" I ask and she shakes her head 'no'. At this point I know that something is defiantly wrong.

"Turn around, (F/N)." I say and she still shakes her head 'no'.

"I said turn around right now!" I shout and she still shakes her head 'no'.

I suddenly grab her by her shoulders and turn her to face me, and what I see leaves me utterly speechless.

I see (F/N) with cracks in her body, as if her body is shattering like glass.

__________________________Your POV________________________

You feel Levi grab your shoulder and turn you around. You lift your gaze up and see that Levi is speechless.

Levi tilts his head down so that his hair is covering his eyes.

"What the hell is going on?" Levi hisses through his teeth.

"I refuse to tell." You say to him, you see Levi reach out to you, in order to grab you, but he suddenly stops and withdraw his hand.

"She sacrificed her soul." You hear Lola say.

"Lola!" you shout at her.

"He needs to know (F/N)!" Lola shouts back at you before you had the chance to say anything else.

"What...do you mean she sacrificed her soul?" Levi asks.

"Its a forbidden spell, its purpose is to bring back those who were once dead, but it comes with a price." Lola explains.

"And what is the price?" Levi asks his hair still covering his eyes.

"The price is that person's soul. Humans aren't meant to come back from the dead, and the only way for a soul to come back is if that person's soul switch places with the one your trying to resurrect." Ayame finishes.

You turn you head to fave Levi, but you suddenly see something that shocks you.

You see tears stream down Levi's face. You quickly take off your hat and place it on Levi's head, tilting it down so that his eyes are completely covered.

"What the hell are you doing, brat?" Levi asks.

"Well, I wanted to see if that hat suits you better and I guess I was right." You say.

You hear Levi say a silent 'Thank you'.

"Oh, and I almost forgot, I'm very sorry everybody, but it seems that I can't keep my promises like I said I would." You apologize.

"T-there's nothing to be sorry for (F/N), after all, you were the one that helped everyone, and now that when you need help we can't do anything. We should be the ones apologizing, not you." You hear Eren say this.

"Thank yo-" You were immediately cut off when you feel immeasurable pain, and you grip you chest tightly. It feels like your being electrocuted from the inside out.

"I-I guess times al-almost up." You say.

"Y-you can't die, what about us, you promised that you would protect me, Bertholdt, and Annie!" You hear Reiner shout.

You give a weak laugh before saying "Ayame, I hereby pronounce that you are to take care of those three, I want you to treat them as your friend."

"Y-yes, ma'am." You hear Ayame stutter, trying to hold back the tears that are threatening to fall.

"Oh, before I forget, I have a present for everybody." You say and snap your fingers. Everybody begins to glow a light green, afterwards you hear Jean shout out

"M-Marco is that you?!"

Then everybody begins calling out to their dead comrades, They then look towards you for an explanation.

"I gave everybody the ability to see the dead." You state simply.

Suddenly, another shock-wave of pain spreads in your body, as you clutch your chest tight.

"I guess times up." You say as you look at your hand that is dissolving into nothingness.

__________________________Levi's POV_________________________

"I guess times up." I hear (F/N) say.

I gasp and I reach out and grab her wrist, but as soon as I do it crumbles away.

I look up and I see her mouth something, but as soon as I figure out what she said, it was already too late. She crumbled away, like glass shattering away into nothingness.

The necklace on my neck snaps off, and I hear the others snap off as well, but I don't care.

I feel something in my clenched hand that grabbed (F/N)'s wrist. I slowly open it and see the bracelet that I got her.

I fell to my knees in utter shock as to what happened. Then my mind finally pieces everything together.

'She's gone.' I think.

Then I remember the words she mouthed

'Look under the couch in your office.'

I reach out and grab the necklace, then I slowly get to my feet once more.

"Akame who was that person that shot the gun." I ask.

"H-he must have came here when I summoned the portal to travel here. I think he works for the people who would dissect (F/N)." I hear Akame explain.

"I see." I said.

"Erwin, we're heading back to HQ." I say and Erwin nods his head.

I walk over to where the man in the lab coat is. Once I'm in front of him I whisper so that only he could hear.

"You know, I would kill you right now, but I don't want to disrespect (F/N). Since, she ordered for you to get captured and not killed. However, that doesn't mean that I can't just beat you until your half dead."

The man's eyes widen in fear of the Corporal standing in front of him.

I then walk away.

—————————————————Time Skip to Levi's office————————————————-

I walk over to my couch in my office. I kneel down and look underneath it.

I see a small wooden box, and I grab it. I walk over to my desk and sit down behind it.

I open the box and I see two pieces of paper in it, and beneath the paper are the tea leaves that (F/N) specially made.

I open the first letter and read,

 Dear, Levi

I probably ran away looking like and idiot when I gave you this, but that doesn't matter at the moment. I wanted you to know that I copied the recipe for the tea on the second page, and to tell you the truth, the reason how I made it was a complete fluke. I just didn't want to tell you because I was afraid that you would find me an idiot for how I found out (which is explained on the second page). Anyway, there is something I have been meaning to tell you.

I love you. I would tell you in person, but I'm afraid of your response. Can you believe it, given my strength and my reasoning, I'm afraid, and I mean truly terrified of what you might say. However, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what you might say I will always love you. So, when I see you again, I want you to give me a response to my feelings, and don't forget I will always love you.

I see drops of water on the paper. I then realize that its not water, its tears. My tears to be exact.

I try to quickly scrub off the tears streaming down my face, but more just replace the ones I wipe away.

"I love you too, (F/N)." I mumble to no one.
