What beautiful brokenness,
I see in every soul.
I see how God takes a hopeless mess
And makes the pieces whole;
How in the fire, and metal press,
They're turned to diamond coals.
I see Him long for all the hopeless,
Arms wide open to console;
I see the hungering He longs to bless,
Given food to the full.
I see how in the brokenness,
God brings it all to good;
He carries weary souls to rest,
Saves them with His blood.
