Axel was in the middle of a heated Rainmaker fight. He was pinning down the opposing team, trying to get his killer wail ready. But he couldn't hit them without a curling bomb, and nobody had one. Suddenly Edge dropped down and sent an inkling storm to fish the targets out. All 4 were splatted.

"That's a quad splat!" He said.

"Noice." Axel nodded. Edge grabbed the rainmaker and the pair started running. The opposing team tried to stop them, but they had no cover this time.

"Quad splat for me too!" Axel said.

"Pretty sure these guys are massive rookies." Shelly said over the com.

"I mean, there's 2 humans, so that's at least 2 with minimal practice." Said Colt.

"I guess. And I packed this bad boi, which I haven't used too often. Just wait, I have several crazy weapons I wanna make, that'll shake things up." Said Axel.

"Please, enlighten us." Said Edge, as he slammed down the rainmaker.

"Well, they are a surprise, but y'all are my team. Ok. The current work in progress is a type of charger, but obviously a bit OP." Said Axel.

"A bit? That's always an understatement." Said Colt.

"The other?" Asked Shelly.

"It'll be like the sword, but definitely with some unique features. And it's not a sword." Said Axel. "That one will take a while to make, but I'll be even scarier."

"Oh boy just what we need." Said Edge sarcastically.

"Well, team Riptide ain't gonna win without effort. Worry about my weaponsmithing later, let's rack up the Ws." Said Axel

"Yes." Said Colt. "But why did you say the letter W out loud, and not the word win?"

"The humans from my time said it all the time. Eh, I'm old, remember?" Said Axel.

"I'm shook. What other letters did they say?" Asked Shelly.

"They said L, they said F, they said X, they said uwu and owo, kids were strange." Said Axel.

"The more you know..." Said Edge.

The team played 7 more matches, easily smashing everyone.

"Ok, let's get some food." Said Shelly.

"Of course you're hungry." Said Colt.

"Hold up, what's that?" Asked Edge, looking up.

"They're hardly slick. Why's the Octarian army here?" Said Axel, loading his fist.

He hadn't said it loud enough to be heard, but at least 15 other squids saw the airships, and promptly lost their minds. Hysteria was imminent.

Axel grappled up the Turf War Tower, and from there grappled the lead ship. He boarded and asked "what are y'all doing?"

No one answered, unless raising guns was an answer. One Octarian slammed a heavy chunk of metal over Axel's head. He was decked on the spot, and the machine half took over. It pummeled many octarians with the riptide and fist strikes, but it was clumsy, and got shoved off the ship. Meanwhile, the center ship had.taken the great Zapfish, and was running.

Axel hit the ground hard. Several bones were broken, but he wasn't bleeding. The robot parts prevented that. Shelly and Colt shoved through the crowd to get to his unmoving body.

"No! How could they!" Shelly screamed, and started sobbing.

She stopped, when Axel twitched, and changed to a rational thought process.

"We gotta get him the the human doctors. Our doctors won't really be able to help him." She said.

Colt agreed. "But we don't have a car, or anything." He said.

Shelly whispered." We can ask Marie. She can drive, right?"

Before Colt could respond, Marina and Pearl had gotten off the stage and ran to Axel's body as well.

"We can drive him, but we don't know where the Humans live." Pearl said.

A few humans stepped up, all asking to navigate. Marina chose one at random, and they went to the studio van, carrying Axel's very heavy body, with help from a few other bystanders.

After Axel was safely put in the back of the van with Colt, Shelly, Edge, and Pearl, Marina thanked the human helping her out.

"It's no issue, miss Marina. We all want to see Axel ok." He said.

When they arrived at the human settlement, Marina looked around, impressed. She hadn't actually been there yet, nor had Pearl.

Everyone unloaded Axel, and the humans directed them to the medical ward. Over the next 3 hours, doctors painstakingly reassembled Axel's left arm and leg, and put casts on him. Shelly, Edge, and Colt stayed the entire time, in another room.

The next day, Axel woke up. The first one to see him was not his squad, it was Ayo.

"Unit 14, are you alright?" She asked.

"Ayo, I go by Axel, remember? And yeah, I guess I'm ok." Axel said. "What brings you here?"

"I saw the footage of the attack. You tried to fight off a fleet? You are crazy." Ayo said.

"Can't exactly deny that." Axel said.

"I wanted to ask if you knew what they were." Ayo said. "2 ships like them attacked us, but did not get past the AAs you developed back in the facility. No remains were found."

"Well, there is a faction or Octarians that is kinda dead set on world domination. They were with that faction. Speaking of which, I need..." Axel looked at his phone.."Neeevermind. That's an issue."

"What is?" Asked Ayo.

"The fish they took from Inkopolis is a power source. And a contact of mine told me the same faction took their leader back from being imprisoned. So that's an issue." Said Axel. "Last time I stopped him, he was making an ink nuke. But he shouldn't be able to hurt us."

Ayo looked down.

"After you were so horribly knocked out, I saw, these 'octarians' of that faction took hostages. Not only Oceanics..."

"They took humans too!" Axel said, holding his tone, barely. "Just they wait till I finish my next weapon, I'll smack them all."

"We can't send an attack force, because we have no weapons, and can't use ink weapons." Said Ayo. "I want to trust you, but you need to recover first." Ayo said. "After all, you are left handed."

"You remember that, but not my name, huh? I'll never understand you, Ayo. Well, I'll be here." Said Axel.

"Feel better." Said Ayo.

The next people in were Axel's squad, as well as Rick and Sue.

"We all thought you died!" Shelly wailed.

"Correction. They thought you died." Said Rick. "Which will make your imminent and probably stupidly crazy counterstrike be all the more entertaining."

"The majority of my human bones bought ceased to exist, but I'll be ok, so long as you stop yanking on that cast." Axel grimaced at Shelly.

"Sorry! It's just..." Shelly whimpered.

"I understand. I'll be ok, don't worry. Humans are resistant. And I, moreso." Said Axel.

"I uh, wanted to get you a feel better gift." Said Edge. "So I had Shelldon send in that entire scrap heap from his back room, and your unfinished weapon."

"Did you really?" Axel saw the heap. "Well, guess I'm not gonna be too bored. Thanks, man." He high fived Edge with his good hand. "I can grab parts from here. Good thing. I assume you forgot I can't get up? My leg was just as screwed over."

"Well, time to destroy Octavio again, I guess." Said Axel. "By the way, Agent 2 wants you guys down at the Outpost, to start reclaiming then baby zapfish."

"If we must..." Said Edge.

"You guys will be fine, don't worry. What are some pushover tentacles to 3 legends at all gamemodes?" Axel said, encouragingly.

"We would feel better with you, but, we can do it!" Said Colt, determined. "C'mon guys, let's let the robo bros chill for a bit. He has had enough excitement for a while."

The Inklings left the room, leaving just Rick and Sue.

"So, anything new?" Axel asked.

"Besides the ships I assume Ayo told you about, not much, but a couple things." Said Rick.

"We tried that turf wars. Greased up my legs horribly when I got hit, but it was kinda fun." Said Sue.

"But get this. A few of the Oceanics actually live here now. And one of the girls, pretty sure Inkling, got a bit..." Rick paused.

"They got frisky. And I had trash duty that week. Didn't find protection, and I assume Inklings don't have birth control." Said Sue, inexplicably straight faced.

"So you mean..." Said Axel.

"We don't know yet, but maybe. I know you know what I think." Said Rick.

"Such intrigue. Sounds like some extreme old furry fanfiction idea." Said Axel. "But if this is our life, you know how the saying is. 'love is love'."

"I personally want to see one." Said Sue. "As well as baby Oceanics. A tiny squish would be so cute."

"They are cute, until they turn 3. Then they look like a goosebumps movie until they turn 14." Said Axel. "I saw Shelly and Colt's baby photos."

"Aww. You gotta show us sometime." Said Sue.

"Sure. I'm gonna sleep for a bit now, ok?" Axel asked.

"Go for it man. Feel better, and good luck on that weapon." Said Rick, as the cyborg pair left the room.

Also, I am working on hand drawn book covers for my books. I won't make one for A Special View because it's finished. Well, I might. But these other 2 covers are first.
