On Kilara's way to visit Maxamus she saw a large group of Fire pack wolves, they seemed to be the whole pack. They were surrounding something, she sniffed the air. It was Maxamus. "Whats going on?!" she asked. "There's a dead pup." Said the healer. "Who is it?" She asked. "Maxamus, why do you care?" Said the healer. "I'm his mother, I adopted him. What happened?" She said. "He overheated to death." Said the healer. "I could not do anything to help him, he was dead by the time I got to him." Continued the healer. "I'm so stupid, why did i send him back?" she said to herself. "I don't understand how a Fire pack wolf could overheat." Said the healer. "He was used to the cold." Said Kilara. "I'm sorry for you loss." Said a Fire pack wolf. "How was he used to the cold? That's impossible." said the healer. "He had froze to death, right?" Asked Kilara. "Yeah, why?" Asked the healer. "Maybe that triggered his body to get used to the cold." Said Kilara. "That actually makes since." Said the healer. "wait, dig him up!" Said the same Fire pack wolf from before. "he's alive again!" He continued. "yeah! I hear muffled screaming!" said another wolf. So they dug him up and to their surprise he was alive but there was something wrong. "help! Dig me up i'm alive!" Yelled Maxamus. "Maxamus your fine, your dug up." said Kilara. "Mom? is that you?" i can't see!" Said Maxamus. His eyes were as white as the snow he loved. "wait let me take a look." said the healer. The healer led Maxamus to her den and examined him. After some time she came out. "Kilara?" she called out. "Yes?" answered Kilara. "Your son is blind." Said the healer. "What?!  He cant be blind!" said Kilara. "However he can still use his nose and ears." Said the healer. "I've taught him how to use them to see."  She continued. "Do you still love me mom?" Asked Maxamus. "Yes I do, I would never stop loving you." Said Kilara. "let's go home Max, bye Shilo." "who's max?" Asked Maxamus. "You, It's short for Maxamus." said Kilara. and they headed off. They traveled for a bit, but before they could cross the border they heard a voice. "Wait!" Said the voice. It was Shilo, he had followed them. "can I talk to you alone?" Asked Shilo. "Sure." said Kilara. The two talked out of earshot of Maxamus, after some time Kilara returned to Maxamus. "Ok let's get back before you overheat again." Said Kilara. And with that they went off.
