Chapter 46

(Y'ALL quick authors note before we start, this chapter is based off of Ember Island players and ya girl didn't want to write all of the dialouge and describe the entire play because it would take forever. So I'll just be physically writing out scenes where (Y/N) is envolved or something changes from the Og episode because (Y/N) is there cool? Cool.)

"Ugh"

I grunted throwing a fire lash at Aang.
Sweat dripped down my back as he barely dodged my attack. We had been training all day so I was exhausted but there was no way I'm giving up now.

Before he could make another move, I lowered my position and swept the floor with my flame causing Aang to trip and fall down.
"(Y/N) how many times I gotta tell you bring it down a little!" Zuko complained helping Aang up.

"Sorry you know how competitive I get!"
I said staring for a little to long at Zuko's shirtless chest. Damn.

"It's okay Zuko I need the pratice anyway." Aang smiled.

Zuko put his arm around me,
"Aang you can rest for a bit."

"Flameo hotmen!" Aang said speeding towards Katara and Toph who were sitting on the steps of the house. We were actually staying at the Fire lord's vacation home on ember Island. It wasn't my first choice but.. here we are.

"Don't you think it's weird that we're hiding from the Firelord at his own house?" I smirked pushing some hair out of Zuko's face.

"I told you, my father hasn't come here since our family was actually happy. And that was a long time ago. It's the last place anyone would think to look for us."

"You guys are not gonna believe this. There's a play about us!"  Sokka said strolling in with Suki.

"We were just in town and we found this poster." Suki said as Sokka held up the poster. I turned my head to get a better look,
"What? How is that possible?"

"Listen to this ... "The Boy in the Iceberg" is a new production from acclaimed playwright Pu-on Tim, who scoured the globe gathering information on the Avatar, from the icy South Pole to the heart of Ba Sing Se. His sources include singing nomads, pirates, prisoners of war, and a surprisingly knowledgeable merchant of cabbage."

"Brought to you by the critically acclaimed Ember Island Players!" Suki finished.

"Ugh! My mother used to take us to see them. They butchered Love Amongst the Dragons every year!" Zuko reminisced.

"Sokka, do you really think it's a good idea for us to attend a play about ourselves?" Katara sassed.

"Come on, a day at the theater? This is the kind of wacky time-wasting nonsense I've been missing!"

~

Night struck and we arrived at the theater, dressed in disguises, taking our seats on the balcony. I stared off onto the stage as Aang tried to casually switch seats with Zuko so he could be next to Katara. Zuko, being completely oblivious, didn't see what the big deal was. The theater was ornamently decorated in red and gold. I shuttered, it reminded way to much of the palace. Zuko casually put his hand on mine,
"You okay?"

"I'm fine.. just a little..  overwhelmed."

"Why are we sitting in the nose bleed section? My feet can't see a thing from up here!" Toph complained.

"Don't worry, I'll tell your feet what's happening."

~

After Katara, Aang, and Sokka unhappily watched the start of the play complaining that their actors were nothing like them it was finally Zuko and I's turn. I watched as the stage set turned to the South Pole seas with our old Firenation boat floating across the water.

"Look it's us!!" I chipped looking at Zuko. He smirked at my excitement,
"You're adorable.." he sighed.

"What was that?" I smirked.

"Umm nothing... just watch the play." He blushed.

"Prince Zuko you must try this cake!" Iroh's actor said.

"I don't have time to stuff my face. I must capture the Avatar to regain my honor." Zuko's actor announced with scar on the wrong side and the classic ponytail back in action. Dang I almost forgot about that haircut.

"Well, while you do that, maybe I'll capture another slice!" I stared at Iroh's actor. My face turning into a frown, not a day went by I didn't miss him.

"You sicken me! (Y/N) my dearest, won't you help me look for the avatar?" Zuko's actor said.

"Yeah no.. can I please leave now?" My actor asked looking incredibly bored. Was that really how I came off?

"But (Y/N) you are the fire that burns in my heart!" Zuko's actor said leaning in for a kiss.

My actor just pushed him down and laid on the ground looking dead inside. I laughed a bit turning to Zuko, he looked extremely uncomfortable.

"They look me look totally stiff and humorous! And.. and you liked me back!" Zuko complained crossing his arms.

"Zuko no offense but they kinda got a point... I mean I saw how great you were inside but... you did complain a lot."

"How could you say that!!" Zuko snapped.

"Let's forget about the Avatar and get massages!" Iroh's actor suggested.

"How could you say that!" Zuko's actor yelled. I smirked at Zuko and leaned against his shoulder,
"Told you!"

~

The show continued I cringed especially at the part when the blue spirit came to save Aang. My actor gushed over him and continously insulted Zuko. I mean at least they didn't put Fai in there now that would have been awkward...

Aang turned into that big blue fish looking thing and it was finally intermission.

"So far the intermission is the best part of the play.." Zuko stuttered.

"Apparently the playwright thinks I'm an idiot who tells bad joke about meat all the time!" Sokka exclaimed.

"Yeah you tell bad jokes about plenty of other topics." Suki sassed.

Aang and Katara complained about their portrayals until Toph talked some sense into them,
"Listen friends, it's obvious that the playwright did his research. I know it must hurt, but what you're seeing up there on that stage is the truth."

~

The play then continued in the Earth Kingdom.

"Zuko.. it's time we had a talk about the hair! It's gone to far!" Iroh's actor complained. I immediately chuckled earning a harsh glance from Zuko.

"Maybe it's best if we spilt up."

"Yes I think that's an amazing idea!" My actor gushed smiling for like the first time.

"Come on (Y/N)." Zuko's actor said grabbing my actor's hand.

"No!!" I said being dragged off the stage with him.

Zuko and I both cringed in our seats.

~

"Azula my sister what are you doing here?"

"You caught me, wait what's that? I think it's your honor!" Azula's actress said pointing away.

"Where?"

Azula's actress slipped away,
"Wait take me with you!" My actress screamed.

~

"I have to admit Prince Zuko, I really find you attractive." Katara's actress swooned. My actress was standing in the cornor hitting her head against the wall.

"You don't have to make fun of me!"

"But I mean it I've had eyes for you since the day you first captured me! But that stupid (Y/N) was always in my way!"

"Umm excuse me I'm right here!" My actress sighed, "you know what I don't care do whatever..." she sighed walking off the stage. I slouched in my seat wishing I could do the same.

"(Y/N) my dear come back to me!" Zuko's actor yelled before turning back to Katara's actress, "Wait I thought you were the Avatar's girl?"

"The Avatar? Why, he's like a little brother to me! I certainly don't think of him in a romantic way.  Besides, how could he ever find out about ... this?" The two embraced and I was absolutely done.

"Yeah no nah not today I'm out..." I stood up with Aang in protest. I felt somewhat sick in my chest.

It's just a stupid play... why am I getting worked up?

"Oh your getting up can you get me some fire flakes? Oh and Fire gummies!" Sokka grinned.

~

Aang and I separated to go sulk. He was actually really down, I mean I was upset but he was heartbroken. I hope Katara talks with him.

It was about 15 minutes before Zuko came out by me,
"(Y/N) are you alright? I saw you leave."

"I'm fine... it's just kinda weird to see all your actions on a stage you know? Besides I needed some fresh air..."

"Oh well I'm here for you alright?" He muttered trying not to blush to hard.

"Isn't it weird to see Iroh again?" I blurted out without even thinking, "oh sorry..you probably don't want to hear about that right now."

"No it's fine.. to be honest I was thinking the same thing. I talked with Toph about it for a little but... it's hard to see all your mistakes right in front of you." Zuko awkwardly stated looking down.

"At least we have eachother right?" I smiled looking into his golden eyes.

"What did I ever do to deserve you? I mean I-" Zuko blushed putting his hand on my cheek. My heart sped up in my chest. We had plenty of moments like this before, but still every time I lost myself in his eyes.

His eyes were like my sun, the only constant blazing on even in the darkness. I had grown so much with those eyes.

"I could ask you the same thing..." I smiled. Moonlight illuminated in patches on his skin. A soft breeze swept through his raven hair.

"(Y/N) if.. if you get hurt when we attack my Father..  I could never forgive myself."

"I'll be fine Zuko.. don't worry about me. Let's just try to enjoy the rest of the play alright?"

"I.. I love you." Zuko stuttered. My heart froze, I took him and passionately kissed him on the lips.

"I love you too... but we should probably get back inside before the others wonder where we went.."

Zuko stared at me for a moment,
"Is something on my face?"

"No! Umm... let's just go back inside.."

~

"With the energy harnessed from that comet, no one will be able to stop ... the Fire Nation!" Ozai's actor cheered raising his hands up.

"Father, Zuko and the Avatar are at the Palace. They're trying to stop you!"

"You take care of Zuko. I shall face the Avatar myself!"

~

Actor Zuko and Azula fought into Zuko was taken into a great flame prop.

"Zuko no maybe I did love you!" My actress fake cried "just kidding!"

"HONOR!!"

"Princess Azula you have finally taken that beast away from me! How could I not see your beauty, power, and intelligence until now? Will you ever forgive me?" My actress swooned grabbing Azula's hand.

"Of course together we will be the most powerful couple in all the Firenation!"

I blushed as the crowd clapped, the rest of the gaang just kinda looked at me and I shrugged. Zuko seemed especially concerned.

~

Finally the play ended with Ozai defeating Aang.

"That.. wasn't a good play...." Zuko stuttered.

"I'll say!"

"No kidding."

"Horrible."

"You said it!"

"But the effects were decent!" Sokka added.

"I mean can't argue there!" I smiled.
