One week later.

"Jessica, has your period come since the last time I saw you?" Her doctor asks.

"Just light spotting. But it's more than it was before."

He sighs and looks at her chart that had her blood tests results on them.

Jessica became very concerned with his response.

"What's going on?" Danny asks.

"She's still not ovulating."

"Okay.. So double the dosage, right?" Jessica asks.

"I can do that, but remember you can only take this medication for a total of six months and you're in month three."

"Do you not think it'll work?"

"No, it could still work, but I'm just letting you know."

"Okay.. Double it."

"Yes ma'am."

The day before Grayson's fourth birthday.

"I can't believe my baby's gonna be four years old. Where has the time gone?" Jessica says watching him play with his toys.

"I remember the day before I had him, I was SO uncomfortable! The boys were really great though. They helped me a lot."

"Really? I don't think you've ever told me about when he was born."

"Well the day before, it was a few hours before my water broke, I went to take a nap and I had this insanely vivid dream."

"What was it about?"

"I had dreamt that losing Sam was all a dream.. We spent the day at the park, and then that night we.. Well we had sex and that's when my water broke. I dreamt my entire labor and the delivery."

"Wow, really?"

"Yeah.." Tears fill Jessica's eyes.

"I had him and he said that they were birthday buddies.. Then things changed and I was pregnant again, and Sam was telling me these things... He said that Grayson was coming and that I would love him.. That he would never ever leave me and to always remember how strong I am.. He even told me about that cute little birth mark on his butt." She chuckle and wipes her eyes.

"That's so cool."

"Yeah. *Nods* It was so real.  I woke up in tears and just needed to see him.  The boys took me to the cemetery and I talked to him for a while.  It was the first time since the funeral I had gone to see him.
.. The boys gave me some time alone, then came over and we talked about all the crazy things Sam did.. I had to stop a few times because my contractions kept coming and by that time they were really bad. We cried.. We laughed.. I laughed so hard my water broke all over him!" Jessica chuckles.

"Your water broke at the cemetery?!"

"Yeah! It was so funny!" She laughs.

Later that day Jessica started on dinner and Danny went to pick the boys up from the airport.

"Mommy, are the boys coming home?"

"Yes they are! Are you excited!"

"Yeah! I missed them!"

"Aw.. They missed you too, baby!"

"Mommy, we're home!" Sam says walking in and setting his things down.

"My boys!!" Just shouts running into the living room.

"Boys! Boys!" Grayson says jumping up and down.

"Hey little guy! You've gotten so big!" Michael picks him up.

"I am big! I'm almost four and I go pee pee in the potty!"

"No way! That's so awesome!"

"Yeah!"

The next day.

"Happy birthday, my handsome boy!"

"Thank you, mommy!"

"Daddy made you some pancakes, do you want some?"

"Yeah! But wait!" He kicks his legs so Jessica puts him down.

"Happy Birthday, daddy!" He smiles and blows kisses to Sam's picture.

Jessica smiles and tears up.
"That's very sweet, Grayson."

"I love him, mommy. He was in my dream last night."

"Oh was he?"

"Yeah! We played games and went to the park and played on the swings! He said he loves me and that if I was good that you and daddy would take me to Chuck e cheese!"

"Oh did he? *Chuckles* Well today's your birthday party, but maybe we can go tomorrow."

"Okay!" He smiles and runs out of the room.

Jessica chuckles and stares at Sam's picture.
"Happy Birthday, Sammy. I love you." She smiles softly.

Later that day Grayson's party.

"Hi honey! How are you feeling?" Jessica hugs Sarah.

"Good! Thank you. How are you?"

"Oh I'm okay. Come in!"

"Jessie, where's my Grayson?"

"Your Grayson?! Heh! He's over there with-"

"I see him!" Riley runs to Grayson.

Jessica laughs and McKenna hugs her.
"Hi my beautiful girl, how are you?"

"Good! You look beautiful, Jessie!"

"Awe, thank you, sweet stuff!" She kisses her forehead.

McKenna giggles and lays on Jessica.

"Do you like your cake, baby?"

"Mhm! It's yummy, mommy!" Grayson says with a face full of blue icing.

"Heh! Why don't we clean your face?" Jessica takes her napkin and wipes his face.

"Thank you, mama!"

"You're welcome, baby."

Jessica sits there watching him eat his cake. Grayson was sent to her at the most difficult time of her life. This little boy made her so happy. Seeing him smile and have fun made her forget about all of her worries she's had the past few months.

November 24th.

Sarah and Evan went over to Jessica and Danny's for dinner.

"Jessie! Jessie! Guess what!" McKenna says with excitement.

"What baby?"

"My Mommy's gonna have another baby! She has a baby in her tummy!!"

"I know! I'm so happy for you guys!"

"You knew!" Her eyes widen.

"Yes, and I'm so excited for you!"

"I'm gonna be a big sister!" Riley smiles.

"That's so cool! You're gonna make such a good big sister!"

"I didn't know you were pregnant! Congratulations, Sarah!" James hugs her.

"Thank you, sweetie!"

"Kenna, are you super excited?" Sam smiles.

"Yes I am super excited!! I hope it's a boy!"

"You do?! Little brothers are pretty cool!"

"Yeah! I want a brother like Grayson!"

"You can borrow him if you want. A day is ten dollars and over night is fifteen." He says making McKenna laugh.

After they left Jessica put Grayson to bed.

"Mommy?"

"What baby?"

"Sarah has a baby in her tummy?"

"Yes she does."

"Why?"

"Because that's how babies are made. Like in that picture of me and your daddy." Jessica points to the big picture on the wall where she was pregnant with him.

"You were in my tummy."

"That's so cool!"

"Yeah!" She chuckles.

"Mama, why can't you have another baby in your tummy? Then I can have a friend to play with!"

"Awe baby... I really really want to give you a baby brother or sister.. We'll see, okay?"

"Okay.. How do you get a baby in your tummy? Do I have to ask Santa?"

*Giggles* "You can try that! What you need to do is pray pray pray! Ask Jesus to send you a baby brother or sister, okay?"

"I will, mommy." He smiles.

"Have sweet dreams, okay?"

"You too, mama."

Jessica smiles softly and kisses his cheek.

After she tucked him in, she walked to her bedroom in tears.

Danny was reading a book when Jessica walked in.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

"Grayson.. He wants a little brother or sister. He asked why I don't have one in my tummy like Sarah does. Danny, I wish I could give him one. He said he wants a friend." Jessica cries hard.

Danny wraps his arm around her and she lays on him.

"I'm sorry, honey."

"I knew this was coming!  I feel terrible that I can't give him a a sibling and you a baby.. A woman is made to make babies!  What's wrong with me!"

"Shh, shh.. It's okay. It's okay, baby." Danny holds her close and rubs her back.

December.

"I drawed this for Christmas.  It's all the stuff I want!" Grayson hands a piece of paper to Danny.

"Hey Gray, this is pretty good!  Tell me what everything is." Danny picks him up and sits him on his lap.

"This is cars and that right there is a doggy!  That's paw patrol things, this is batman.. More cars and lots of toys, and that's mommy with a big belly."

"You want mommy to have a big belly?  Well it's the holidays so everyone does gain a little weight, I guess."

"No I want hers to have a baby in her belly!  Like Sarah has a baby in hers belly." He smiles.

"Oh I see.  You wanna be a big brother, huh?"

"Yeah!  Then I'd have someone to play with!"

"You have me and mommy."

"But a little person!  I want to play with a little person!"

"Oh.. Hey, you want some ice cream?" Danny asks changing the subject.

"Yeah!"

"Ooh, ice cream?  Can I have some too?"

"Sure, baby.  What kind?"

"Um.. Can I have a scoop each one?"

"Of course!" He smiles.

Grayson was sitting at the table and Jessica went up behind Danny and wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his back.

"Hey." He turns to her.

"We have to get Grayson a puppy."

"What?  Why?"

"He gave me a list of things he wants for Christmas.  There were two big things on there and one of them was a dog."

"What was the other?"

Danny looks down and answer.

"It was a baby, wasn't it?"

"Yeah.."

*Sighs* "Looks like we're getting a dog then."

"YES!" Danny jumps.

Jessica laughs and grabs her bowl of ice scream to go and sit with Grayson.

Christmas Eve.

"Ugh!"

"What's up, baby?

"I've gained so much weight!  This medicine can cause weight gain, but holy cow!"

"You look beautiful."

"No I don't."

"Hey!  Cut that out!" Danny grabs her and kisses her neck.

Jessica laughs and Danny lifts her up and tosses her onto the bed.

"Daniel, we have guests coming!" She says as he kisses her and rubs his hands on her body.

"I don't care!"

Jessica laughs and Danny rips her clothes off.

"Oh my gosh Daniel, at least close the door!  Our kids are here!"

"Oh shit!" He laughs and stands up to shut the door.

"Hurry up, my fucking ass is out!"

Danny closes it and runs back to the bed.

"Weeee!!" He jumps on top of her making her laugh.

That evening Jessica's family came over, and James' girlfriend came over as well.

"You two have been together forever now!" George looks at them.

Caroline smiles at James.
"Four years now!"

"That's pretty good!  Especially with you two being so young."

"I know.  I got lucky, didn't I?" James smiles and kisses Caroline's nose.

"Oh they're so cute!" George's wife touches her chest.

"I know.. Ah, to be young and in love!"

"Grayson, let's get into your pj's!"

"My Christmas pj's, mama?"

"Yep!"

"Yay!  Santa's almost coming!"

"Woo!" Jessica giggles.

The next morning.

"Look at all the toys I got!  I even got a real car!" He says getting into his little jeep.

"It's so nice!  Think I could borrow it?" Danny asks.

"Daddy you're too big for that!" He laughs.

"Oh I'm sorry!"

"Grayson, you have one more present."

"What is it!"

Jessica walks to the other room and walks in holding a maltipoo.

"A doggy!!"

Jessica sits down and Grayson walks over to pet it.

"Mommy it's so cute! Can we keep him?"

"We sure can, baby! What do you wanna name him?"

"Umm... Fred."

"Fred?  Heh!  Well that's not what I was expecting, but I love it!"

"Can I hold him?"

"Sure!"

Jessica hands him to Grayson and the puppy licks his face.

Grayson laughs uncontrollably and Jessica grabs her camera to take his picture.

"Awe he likes you!"

"Yeah!  I love him, mommy!  I love him!"

"Awe baby, I'm so glad!"

"I never got a puppy." Sam mopes.

Jessica looks at him and chuckles.

"We gave you Michael."

"Hey!" Michael says and Jessica laughs.

"Thank you, mommy and daddy!  Thank you Santa!"

"Awe, you're welcome!  You're such a sweet boy!"

Grayson giggles and says, "I gonna call Fred my baby!  Because he's mine!  He's my baby!"

"Gray, you're the cutest!"

"Mom.. I'm a little jealous."

"Awe Sam!  You're cute too!  You're my baby boy!" Jessica hugs him.

"Thanks!" He chuckles and gives a coy smile.
