[First day of semester two]

8:45 am.

An announcement boomed around the campus. "All students are requested to report to their classroom."

"Ok taehyung-ah. See you after sometime." Jungkook and jimin said their bye to him and went off to their respective classes.

"Bye." Taehyung said while waving at them.

New classmates. New teachers. Don't know what will happen this time.

"Good morning. Welcome to the new semester. I'm Lee Jinsung. I've been tasked with providing you some information about certain things." He said walking inside the class with some students following behind.

"First of all, let me introduce you all to your new classmates." He mentioned and made a hand gesture to the students, inviting them to introduce themselves one by one.

Taehyung simply looked at them with a normal expression. He recognised a few of the students. Bae Joo hyun, Choi Yuju, Han Jisung, Choi Soo Bin and so on.

He turned his gaze to the window, thinking he didn't need to listen to any more introductions. Suddenly, he snapped his gaze forward with a jerk when he heard a familiar voice.

"Hello. Naneun Kim Jennie. I hope we get along well." She introduced and mentally gave herself a pat on the back.

Isn't she the one who bumped into me that day? Oh, so she's Jennie.

"You may sit there." Jisung nim told Jennie pointing at the seat beside taehyung. "Taehyung. Please raise your hand."

"What?" Taehyung exclaimed in the lowest voice. Jennie was told to sit with him. He lifted his hand slightly and Jennie just had a look of his hand.

Jennie walked towards her designated seat and just when she was about to sit, she saw taehyung and widened her eyes.

How come I didn't notice that he's here? He's the one whom I had an encounter with that day. Oh,  he is taehyung.

"You?" They both said at the same time, earning a cough from Jisung.

"You both. Please listen to what I've to say." He said while keeping a finger on his lips, signalling them to shut up for a while.

They both looked down, embarrassed.

"You talked to her or not?" Jimin asked taehyung making him roll his eyes.

"Why do you care? Seems like you are more interested in her." Taehyung said with a giggle.

"No no. Just wanted to see you blush but you're clearly annoyed." Jimin said after noticing taehyung's expression.

"Why won't I? Have you seen me talk to girls? She's my benchmate. Argh I've to deal with her for freaking 3 months. Taehyung complained while jimin just looked at him with a mischievous smile.

"I'm sitting with him. And I don't know if he will even talk to me. Jennie said to jisoo who was busy munching on some snacks.

"Are you listening?" Jennie asked shaking jisoo.

"Yes say." Jisoo said, startled while Jennie just shook her head. Right at that moment, their juniors Rosé and Lisa came over to them.

They were a bit surprised by the sudden interruption but greeted their juniors warmly.

"Unnies what are you talking about?" Lisa said while seating herself beside them. "Nothing lili. Just talking about how was our first day." Jisoo said making Lisa realise about it.

"Oh yes. How is it going? Did you made any new friends." Lisa and rosé asked at the same time and exchanged smiles while gazing at each other. Awesome pals vibe.

"Not me. My class haven't got any new students this time but Jennie would make one." Jisoo said eyeing Jennie to take a look at her expressions.

"Jisoo!" Jennie exclaimed in annoyance. The other three shared a laughter at that.

Jennie and taehyung were in their class. Both of them looking in front but whatever their professor was saying, it flew off their heads.

"I'm bored. Wanna go out." Jennie said to herself but taehyung heard it.

"Can we go together?" Taehyung asked Jennie which caught her off guard at the sudden talk. It's the first time he spoke to her since their first meet, which took her by surprise.

"Umm no. I mean why would you want to go?" She asked him, her eyes fixed at the desk while she fiddled her fingers.

Taehyung sensing her uncertainty, decided to change the topic.

"Well I heard you are a topper too?" He said looking directly at her.

"Yes. You heard it right. And I believe you are too." She replied back with a gleam of pride in her eyes.

"Be ready to cry next time. I will secure your position." He said with a sarcastic laugh which made Jennie feel a bit of anger surge within her.

Don't know what will happen?

"Why do you want to do that?" Jennie said with an expression which made taehyung tease her even more.

"To remind you of how better I'm. Miss Jennie." He said

"Ok we will see huh." She scoffed.

"No jisoo. I've to do that. He's so proud of his success and that's not good. If he flaunts too much, it might lead to him belittling others too." Jennie said while jisoo, rosé and lisa stared at her in disbelief.

"Jennie unnie. Since when-

"No more words Lisa!" Jennie cut her off.

"I'll score more than him and I'll see what he will do next." She said and went away from there leaving the other three outside the gate.

"But what if she scores more than you?" Jungkook asked.

"I think it may happen. She's really good in academics, sports everything basically. She's an all-rounder." Jimin said which fueled taehyung's pride. 

"I'm also good at them. I'll see what I can do next." He said and pulled both of his friends with him leading them to the gate.

We didn't saw this coming.
