The Aftermath
So, I should start by saying:
I really, really, wanted a Coke.
Which is how I ended in those situation.
It was a bit after everything had calmed down, and everybody had forgotten the fact that I could've caused the end of the world. For no particular reason except sibling rivalry. Everyone was finally relaxing and it was nearing the end of summer vacation where the ones that needed to, would go back to mortal world and attend school while the rest of the sane people would stay and continue with their training and schedules.
Not really much of a difference except that the ones staying in camp ft to spend more time outside and let their ADHD run wild. But they also have to deal with Mr.D. Poor guys... well we have math teachers.
I was casually at my table eating alone—cue lonely song—when Astra came up to my table. She seemed in no particular mood so I assumed nothing was wrong. Until she said, "Annabeth wants to speak with you."
I quickly looked at her as if she were insane.
"She-she does...", I trailed off. "Then I guess I better go see her then."
"Yeah, you should." She quietly muttered to herself.
I nodded at her, wondering by why she was acting that way. "Do you know where she is?" Astra nodded and said, "Near the Athena cabin. She had a packet of Cokes. She doesn't want to share. I want coke so badly." I laughed and told her, "Then go back to the Hermes table and get some Coke. I'm sure they wouldn't mind." Astra looked at me dead in the eye and said, "Yes. Yes they friking would."
She then left my table and began making her way to the Hermes cabin. I sighed and finished my food and went to the Athena cabin to meet up with Annabeth. That was mistake number one. I shouldn't have done that. No matter the Coke, if Astra wanted one or not. I could deal with her being mad at me for a few days. Or at least until we come back the next year. I didn't need to be poisoned by with the Coke.
By the way, kids, if a friend who doesn't know you hate them because they cheated on you in a first try of your life offers you a Coke, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ACCEPT THE DRINK! IT MAY OR MAY NOT BE POISONED! Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Basically what happened was that instead of poisoning me after getting my coke like Luke did, she poised me when she gave me the Coke. It wasn't closed or anything. It was in a cup. With ice. And it looked a little green. I didn't notice the last part until it was too late. Annabeth began laughing maniacally and looked at my eyes.
"You're so dumb, seaweed brain."
The prison was making it hard to breath and see by the second. So my calling me seaweed brain, she had speeded up the process. She then left me alone. Though, not before smirking at me and saying, "You thought that there wasn't going to be a replacement for Luke? That there wasn't a back up? You were wrong, Percy."
Since we were in the woods, I was nearby trees. A lot of them. I stumbled for a while, until I caught a hold of a branch and collapsed. Little did I k Ow at the time, it was a tree nymph, and she saw the whole thing.
>||||<^¡^[°¡°][°|°]{⊙} This Jake, Bob, Jerry, Squidward, and Manny.
When I woke up, I was in the infirmary. I had a pounding headache, and the loud talking was making it worse. At least, I thought it was quiet until I gained a better conscious of my surroundings. There were only a few people there, those present were Chiron, Will Solace, Astra, the cabin counselors, and Dilan.
When I had gotten back, I had made better acquaintances with Dilan and he soon came my table when he couldn't get to the table fast enough. Which meant a lot of times. Sometimes I wondered if he did it on purpose. Chiron had approved of allowing Astra and Dilan sit at my table because of the amount t of space that the Hermes table provided.
They both soon just skipped the hassle and sat at my table at we all ate lunch, dinner, and breakfast there.
Though, I should have expected him to be there, it just proved to me that I had managed to make someone so dark and mysterious talk to me and become friends with. It almost made me smile.
If it didn't hurt so bad to even blink.
I nearly collapsed when I stood up straight on the bed. I was gently pushed back down by both the Apollo children.
"Hold up Percy. You'll need more time in bed before we let you go." I heard will said. I turned my head at him and asked, "What day is it?"
He looked at me, "Don't worry. Your legal guardian was informed your current state and was told you wouldn't be back until a week after school starts."
I groaned. It wasn't that I loved school, I hated it. I just wanted to se my mom now. After all that happened, I wanted to come running back home, hug her, and cry on her shoulder until I didn't have anymore tears.
"Would you mind explain what happened, Perseus?"
And I did. I didn't want Annabeth any trouble, but it seemed like she wasn't going to be going back to Camp anytime soon.
He asked a couple of questions, and I gave my responses as well as him answering a few questions of my own.
"What will happen now?" I heard someone say.
We all looked at the Peron who said it, who happened to be Silena Beauregard. Chiron answered with this.
"We prepare for a war."
Everyone began to panic when he said that, until he told them to not tell anyone. At least, not yet. He looked at me and said, "We have many things to discuss."
Yes! I'm done! Thank you, DragonBoy10109 for reminding me to update.
KayMay107 for the idea of using Annabeth.
Everyone else for voting on the story.
What I'm gonna do is make the next chapter have the cover for the next book. This while book will have all the five books from the first series, then I'll make another none and that will be for HoO.
If someone would please do the cover for The Sea of Monsters. Please tag me if you do make it. Though, I'll have one of my own.
Peace out, until next chapter.
