My POV

It's been a few days since I ended up here, now a part of overwatch.

Knock knock

"Yeah?" I yell.

"It's Jack, it's time to begin your training." He tells me through the door.

Small timeskip

Me, Jack, Winston, Angela, Lena, Genji, Ana, and Hanzo are in the training room.

I crack my knuckles.

"Begin." Winston spoke through the speaker.

Jack rushes towards me, i bring out my hammer of Sol briefly and hit him on the chest, sending him back.

I summon my shield briefly, run and hit him on the shoulder.

Jack gets a good hit on my head, making my ears ring and vision go fuzzy.

Lena's POV  (for a moment)

I enter the bottom part of the training room to help Zach up.

As I get close, he hold his hand toward me in a stop motion.

My POV

I put my hand on the ground and start pulling myself up off the ground, my ears are still ringing and my vision is still fuzzy.

"C-come on Jack." I tell him.

"Zach, you're wobbling, I think we should stop." He tells me.

"I Said COME ON!" I yell.

I see his figure run towards me, he throws a punch towards my chest, I use my right hand to deflect his punch and I send a fist of void energy onto his chest.

I feel myself fall, Jack must've done a leg sweep.

"Enough Zach." He tells me.

I pound my fist onto the ground and push myself up off the ground again.

"No, we keep going!" I state, shaking my head trying to get the fuzzy vision and ringing ears to go away.

We start again.

Genji's POV

I'm impressed, even with his vision being fuzzy and his ears ringing, he won't stay down, he keeps pulling himself off the ground.

I exit the spectating booth and enter the training ring, I put a hand on Zach's shoulder.

"Zach, it's time to rest, let's have Angela check your eyes and ears." I tell him.

He sighs.

"Fine." He tells me.

Timeskip

Ana's POV

Zach is sitting on the hospital bed in the infirmary, having his ears and vision checked.

I'm sitting in a chair across from him.

"Alright, your hearing and vision are good, just take it easy for the next few days." Angela told Zach.

"I will Angela." He told her.

Angela leaves the room, and I hear Zach sigh while looking at his knees.

I get up and go sit next to him.

"Is everything alright Zach?" I ask him.

"I don't even know anymore." He told me.

"What troubles you?" I ask him.

He looks at me, pulling the neck of his shirt down a bit, revealing a purple gem.

"I'm a gem hybrid, my late mother purple diamond had to give up her physical form in order for me to live, and I lost my father when I was 7, i was sent to a foster family and stayed with them, they hurt me emotionally and physically, my gem heals the physical wounds quickly." He told me.

"So you never had a mother figure, lost your father at the age of 7, and were put with a abusive foster family." I restate.

He nods, starting to cry.

He wraps his arms around me, and continues to cry.

"It's ok Zach, you're safe." I told him.

Right then and there, I made a choice, I'll take Zach in as my own son.

"Zach, would you like me to be your new mom?" I ask him.

I feel him nod his head.

"Ok, you stay and rest for a while, I'll be right back, ok?" I tell him.

"O-ok, mom." He tells me, the first actual small smile ever appearing on his face.

I get up and go find my daughter Fareeha and my husband reinhardt.

I enter the lunch hall and see them talking amongst themselves, I walk over and sit down across from them.

"Reinhardt, Fareeha, I need to talk to the two of you." I told them.

Reinhardt and Fareeha look at me and nod.

"Zach told me about his personal past, he's a gem hybrid, his late mother purple diamond had to give up her physical form in order for him to live, he also lost his father at the age of 7, and was put into an abusive foster family." I told them.

"Wow, Zach has endured and lost so much." My daughter said.

"I've decided that Zach will be brought into our family, he may be 18, but he needs a loving family." I told them.

"I support this decision, my love." My crusader husband tells me.

"So do I." My daughter agrees.
