Chapter 5
Next day
(Eden's P.O.V)
Well, Lukas's in his whole 'seclusion' thing for now, but I know the second I get scratched; he'll be at my doorstep. So I know I'll be seeing him very soon.
I went over to my desk and started to write. It was going to be a story about my life. Also, Lukas mentioned he was gonna add me in his book about The Order. I felt really honored but at the same time a little nervous, I mean, I was an Admin just a couple weeks ago. What would people think of me after reading it? Oh well, I guess I'll just have to trust him.
After about 3 hours of typing, it was 12 in the afternoon, and I wanted food. But as I got up to grab some grub, the side of my stomach hit the edge of the desk, and I started bleeding a little.
"Ow, son of a-" I mumbled going to grab a paper towel with some water on it.
(Third Person)
Lukas was sitting on his couch writing in his book when he felt something off, he looked left then right, and shuttered a bit.
(My P.O.V)
I wiped the blood off, but as I went to grab an apple, there was a knock on the door. I walked over to the door but then hesitated with a frightened appearance. "Lukas?" I thought, did he really come here to check on me, and... how did he know?
As I started to question the laws of the universe, like how blondey got to my house so fast, I opened the door. I was probably just a little too suprised when I saw Jesse standing outside my doorstep to be considered normal.
"Hey Jesse, what brings you to my humble abode," I questioned with a terrable accent.
"Hey uh... can I come in?" he asked calm.
"Sure," I said as I held the door open and he waltzed inside.
We both sat on the couch and I looked at him, but he didn't say anything. I didn't know why he was there, so I asked, "Having girl problems with Petra?"
Jesse looked at me weird, then shook his head no saying, "No, that's not why I'm here... and what do you mean 'girl' problems?"
I just shrugged as if even I didn't know what I meant.
"Then why are you here?" I questioned.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go on an adventure with me," he asked all shy like.
"Um... sure, but... why?" I hesitated slightly shocked.
"I really didn't want to say, but... I've been feeling... lonely lately," he explained, "Axel and Olivia went back to Boom Town and Redstonia now that everything's back to normal, and Petra, Jack, and Nurm are already out on an adventure. Plus, Lukas is writing his newest book, so you were the last pick."
"Gee thanks," I said rolling my eyes before giving him a comforting smile to show I was just jokin' with him.
"But yeah, I'd love to go on a adventure with you. I kind of got writer's block anyway," (hehe, writer's 'block') I stated getting up and saving the newest part of my story.
"So," I said with enthusiasm, "where are we going?"
"I was thinking the Northern Snow Biome Caves," Jesse suggested.
"Sure, but what's so special about the caves?" Eden asked.
"I don't know, that's why it's an adventure," he explained walking out the door.
"Could I at least grab a sword?" I queried knowing he was too secretly excited to give me a moment.
"Oh right, sorry I just got caught up in the moment." He blushed coming back inside.
I smiled at him shaking my head, then went over to a chest and pulled out my iron sword. "You're taking your Iron Sword?" Jesse questioned my judgment, "what about your enchanted diamond one, wouldn't that be more... effiecent in the snow biome."
"I gave that one to Romeo as a gift," I explained throwing the sword over my shoulder and going out the door.
"You... what?" Jesse freaked, "that sword was Diamond with Sharpness III enchantment on it, you don't just 'give' that away."
Jesse rubbed his nose irritated with me, but I didn't care, "You're such a noob sometimes."
"Are we going or not?" I asked.
Jesse calmed down with a heavy sigh, and then we were off.
At the Base
The glowstone lights were all shut off with Jesse being gone, but amongst the silence, a small knock was heard. "Jesse?" A quick yell echoed through the great halls.
Obviously there was no reply, and so the doors of the base were opened. It was about 3:00 in the afternoon, so having someone coming into the base wasn't too abnormal. Behind the door was Aiden with Cassie hanging over his shoulder, she gave up trying to run the once they got into town. Aiden was confused about why no one was there, and let his guard down as he set Cassie down to take a look around. "Hm... I wonder why Jesse isn't here- *CLANG*" Aiden then fell to the ground with a loud thump because Cassie had hit him in the head with a shovel.
"I've been wanting to do that the second you threw me over your shoulder," she mumbled throwing the shovel off to the side.
She grabbed his feet and pulled him backward, dragging him off. She grunted and occasionally gasped rhetorically asking, "What do you eat? Rocks?"
Eventually, she found a double chest and after throwing Aiden in it, she shut it and was off to go snooping.
With Xara
Xara held the Diamond Sword in her hand cautiously and made her way up to Fred's Keep. She and Fred would always hang out here and the people loved them, Romeo and Kedar, not so much. She climbed the steps and thought, "Dangit Fred, what was it with you and stairs?"
Eventually, she made it up and saw a familiar face, Cam. "X-Xara, you're still alive?" Cam stuttered at the sight of her.
"Hey, Cam. Yeah, I'm alive... barely," she stuttered.
Cam ran up to her and gave her an ecstatic hug, "Come on, let's go tell everyone you're here."
Cam let go and signaled Xara to follow her, and for once in five years, Xara smiled. The two walked into town and everyone stared at them silently. They walked up the stairs and stood in front of Fred's house and as Cam knocked on the door the two waited.
"So, who are we seeing?" Xara asked, there were so many people she'd like to see again.
"You'll see," she smiled.
They waited a little more, and then the door opened and a lady with dark hair and skin walked out. "Binta?" Xara questioned.
"Xara?" Binta asked back, "Your back!"
The two hugged tight and began to chat, "I thought Romeo had done something horrible to you. Also, are you feeling ok, you don't look so good?"
"Yeah, spending time in Romeo's prison really did a number on me, but I'm so happy to be back," Xara answered.
"Well, you seem to be acting the same," Binta stated.
"Yeah... keyword 'seem,'" Xara said sarcastically.
"Oh, now I see it," Binta chuckled; Xara was almost never sarcastic before Romeo took her away.
"Xara!" A familiar arrogant voice was heard to the side.
Xara looked up at the sky in annoyance and then turned around to answer the person.
"Kent... hey..." Xara waved a petty wave.
Kent put his arms up in the air with excitement waiting for a hug, and without her permission gave her a big old bear hug. Kent looked like he was about to choke up with tears, while Xara's head rested on his shoulder looking at Binta and Cam whispering, "Can I go back to prison now?"
Cam and Binta chuckled while Xara forced Kent away. Kent smiled at Xara while she just put her hand on her hip. "I see you're just as beautiful before Romeo took you away," Kent complemented winking at her.
"And I see you're just as creepy and annoying as you were before Romeo took me away," Xara stated passing him and going back over to Cam and Binta.
"So Binta, what were you doing in Fred's house?" Xara asked suspiciously, nobody dared to go into Fred's house, even after he died.
"Sorry, I was just cleaning out the dust bunnies, you know, for the Trivia contest," Binta explained, then sighing because she knew she just set off a Kent bomb.
"Yes, the Trivia, which I just so happen to win every time," Kent boasted.
"Careful Kent, Xara's in town now, she was the one who knew Fred the best," Binta warned.
Kent swallowed his pride knowing that was true; Xara and Fred spend almost every day together. Xara looked down at the ground and snarled to herself, Binta looked at her concerned and Kent and Cam both backed up slowly. "Xara, can I ask you something?" Binta questioned.
"What?" Xara growled looking up at her.
"You haven't gotten over Fred's death yet have you?" Binta asked.
"Oh no, I've gotten over Fred's death. It's just Romeo and Kedar, and what they did to him that I'm still peeved about," Xara answered.
"Hm... Why'd Romeo take you away anyway?" Binta queried curiously.
"I'm not fully sure, but what I do know is that that coward was too afraid to leave me in the same world as him," Xara stated.
"Well, whatever the reason, we're all happy that your back, alive." Binta smiled opening the door to Fred's house and letting Xara in.
Kent followed but was stopped by Binta, who was giving him death glares telling him all he needed to know. Binta put her hand on his chest to keep him from coming in until she went around the door and inside.
"Well, good to see nothing's changed much since the last time I was here," Xara said rolling her eyes as she sat on Fred's bed.
"Yeah, some things will never change," Binta replied wiping her hands on her shirt as if Kent was contagious.
"So, what happened to The Four Admins?" Binta asked becoming serious, "you guys were the best of friends, then one day you came here crying telling us Fred was dead and that Romeo and Kedar were the cause of it."
Xara didn't want to answer, but knew she owed it Binta to tell her. Besdies, there wasn't any way to escape this conversation. "Me and Fred weren't the problem, in fact, we were becoming closer... but Romeo and Kedar... I don't know what was wrong with them? Maybe it was the fact that Romeo was the first born thus getting more attention than his little brother, or that Kedar was the one with naturally born Admin powers, but one day the two just... lost it," Xara explained as Binta sat down beside her.
"One day as I went to see Fred in his shack, he was asleep but he had been stripped of his powers. I asked him what happened and he didn't seem to know, me and him talked for a little, until Fred just collapsed to the ground and behind him was Romeo holding a bow," Xara cringed at the memory.
"Do you think Romeo was threatened by Fred?" Binta asked.
"Romeo, scared... of Fred?" Xara said as if it was impossible, "of course not... but one thing that does puzzle me still is that Romeo stared at Fred, as if he had made a mistake, but why would he have killed Fred if he was going to be remorseful afterword?"
"If Romeo was the one who killed Fred, how can you be sure Kedar was in on it? Plus Kedar was the one to give you powers?" Binta questioned.
"Kedar didn't care about Fred's death an-""So that gives you the right to blame him of being in on Fred's death?"
"And he tried to kill me a couple days later," Xara stated with no emotion.
"Oh, well I guess that makes sense," Binta hesitated, embarrassed for reacting so quickly.
Xara cocked her head to the side and gave Binta a weird look, but then shrugged thinking typical Binta. "So Xara, what's your plan now?" Binta questioned.
"Um... well... I'm not sure, I honestly never thought I'd be free of that prison, sure I tried, but I didn't think I would ever escape," Xara answered truthfully, "I just want a normal life... well as normal as it gets living under the bedrock."
"You're not going to try and head up to the Overworld?" Binta asked somewhat shocked.
Xara looked at her friend annoyed saying, "No, I'm not going up into the overworld where there's an Admin that told me to stay down here."
"Well, I wouldn't say Romeo told you to stay down here, he mostly forced you too," Binta stated.
"Not Romeo, apparently there's another Admin who's out to get Romeo and told me to stay here while she taught Romeo a 'valuable' lesson," Xara explained.
"There's another Admin, when did that happen!?!" Binta asked panicking; you could tell she despised their kind.
"Yeah, I think her name was Eden, but apparently she took Romeo's powers away and now he's back to normal," Xara said trying to remember the conversation she had with the Admin.
"Then why are you down here?" Binta asked confused.
"I don't know, it's just she wanted me down here to make Romeo guilty and that's all I know. And I'm done with questions for now," Xara stated getting up and heading outside.
(A:N Lol, I'm only still posting to be done with this story. I've lost the passion for it. I guess I just feel like it was stilly to place myself into the story, almost selfishly. It was a good idea, ten year old me, but I can't stand this anymore.
Hope you like it anyway.
Heh Bye Biscuits!)
