Chapter 3
Cassie and Aiden looked at each other, and they both thought the same thing, "I need to get that flint and steel."
They both sprung up; with Aiden slipping a little, and then ran and dove after the cat. Aiden managed to get to Winslow first; grabbed the flint and steel and then backed up into a corner. The W.P took her Axe and slowly walked towards Aiden saying, "Give me the flint and steel, or else."
Aiden gave a nervous toothy grin, he wasn't sure what to do. He was trapped in a corner with a crazy serial killer coming at him. The W.P. then threw her ax at him, but he dodged it; resulting in it being stuck in the wall. Aiden then took the opportunity and ran up and pass Cassie. Sadly, though, Cassie grabbed his hand holding the flint and swung Aiden around. Aiden had a good grip on the flint and steel, but Cassie was much stronger than he thought. They did tug a war for a couple of seconds, but eventually, Cassie yanked the flint and steel out of his hands. "Yes, finally!" she exclaimed in her creepy voice.
Cassie was happy to get her hands on this treasure again but became distracted so Aiden used this to his advantage. Aiden jumped at her, pushing her over with him following, and they landed on top of each other. Aiden sat on her afterward to prevent her from getting up and then grabbed the flint and steel out of her hands. "Gah!" The W.P grunted trying to get up from under Aiden and grab the flint and steel but failing.
"Sorry, Cassie," Aiden apologized putting the flint and steel into his inventory, "I'm keeping the flint and steel, and you are coming to Beacon Town with me."
The W.P didn't do anything but glare at him, and that made Aiden realize, "Oh yeah, and I believe you won't be needing this anymore."
Aiden then grabbed her mask and slid it off her face. Cassie continued to glare at him as her face was revealed. Aiden stuttered for a minute as he threw the pumpkin mask away, and just stared at her. "What, so you caught me. But how, may I ask, are you going to get me through the portals and back to wherever you came from?" Cassie asked.
Aiden regained his consciousness, and replied, "It really shouldn't be to-"
Aiden stopped realizing what she meant; she wasn't going to go easily. "Well, I had hoped we could do this like civilized people, but if you want to make this difficult then..."
Aiden then grabbed Cassie by her wrists, flipped her over, pinned her arms behind her back, and then threw her over his shoulder. "What are you doing!?!" Cassie yelled irritated as she squirmed around helpless.
"Bringing you to Beacon Town," he answered, nonchalant.
"Put. Me. Down Now!!!" she demanded trying to kick him.
"Sorry Cherry, but I'm not putting you down until my job's done," Aiden explained.
He looked up and over his shoulder to watch her struggle, then a smug smile grew on his face as he looked forward.
"Don't you dare call me 'cherry'" Cassie threatened.
"Or what, Cherry?" Aiden taunted.
Cassie snarled at him, and the two went down the stairs; as cute Winslow followed them.
Back in Beacon Town the next morning
Eden rented a horse for the day at the stable, and she and Lukas met in front of the New Order of the Stone's base. "Morning Lukas!" Eden greeted pulling the reins on her horse to stop.
"Morning Eden, did you sleep ok last night?" Lukas asked.
"Of course, why wouldn't I have?" Eden queried back.
"Sorry, still trying to get over the fact that you're not struggling with your coma anymore," Lukas smiled all dorky like.
Eden grinned at Lukas and rolled her eyes, "Ok, Lukas! Lead the way!"
Eden gestured a hand for him to go in front of her, and he did after he yelled, "Last one there's an evil Admin!"
He bolted off with a pleased smile; while Eden had to process what just happened, and then smiled and glared at him yelling, "That's low, even for you!"
Then Eden followed his trail of dust thinking, 'he is going to pay for saying that."
After about 15 minutes of riding, the two finally ended up at a quaint little hut. "Well, this is pretty..." Eden complemented.
"Thanks," Lukas smiled jumping off his horse and attaching a lead to the fence.
"Pretty small," Eden laughed, "I see building isn't exactly your strong suit."
"Hey. It has all the necessities," he replied walking inside.
"All the 'bear' necessities?" Eden referenced.
"Sure," he chuckled.
Eden and Lukas walked up to the door, and Lukas grabbed the handle and held it open for Eden and said, "ladies first."
"Then wouldn't you'd be going in first?" Eden asked, mustering up all her strength to keep from laughing.
"Haha, very funny," Lukas rolled his eyes as Eden walked in through the door.
"Thank you, I am funny aren't I?" Eden bragged.
Eden walked through the doorway with a smug smile. Lukas rolled his eyes as he followed after her.
"Want to play two truths one lie?" Eden queried.
"Sure, sounds fun," Lukas agreed nodding his head.
After maybe 10 minutes
"Ok ok, my turn. 1. I'm part German 2. I'm scared of Ladybugs and 3. I love potatoes," Eden laughed.
"Hm... let me think about that for a minute," Lukas asked grabbing onto his chin in thought.
"You only have thirty seconds," Eden explained.
"Ok fine, number two," Lukas answered.
"Wrong!" Eden yelled in Lukas's face.
"Which one is it then?" Lukas queried.
"Number three, I hate potatoes," Eden said with disgust.
"Really?" Lukas questioned, "Oh well, guess it's my turn. Hm... ok, 1. I and Petra have been friends since we were 12 2. I have a huge crush on someone 3. I and Aiden use to be best friends."
"Hm... I know number one is true because Petra told me, and three is obvious because you and Aiden started a gang together. So I guess that rules out number two, so I guess number two," Eden shrugged.
Lukas made an error noise and said, "Wrong, I do have a crush on someone. The lie was number three, I and Aiden have never been best friends, he's always been a jerk."
Lukas expected Eden to start questioning him about his crush, but she completely looked past it and asked, "Then why did you start a gang with him?"
Lukas looked at her confused, but shook it off and answered, "Maya was the one who wanted to start the group and she was friends with Gill, and Gill was friends with Aiden, and he just kind of joined our group without asking."
After that, the two didn't have anything else to say, until Eden spoke up. She sighed and said, "I noticed that you were confused when I didn't ask you about your crush, but honestly, I know it's me."
"You do?" Lukas questioned looking at her shocked.
"I know these past months I've been 'oblivious' to how you feel towards me, but... I'm just worried for you," Eden explained.
"Worried for me, why?" Lukas asked.
"I just worry that you don't actually love me. I know that doesn't make sense, but let me explained," she began, "lately I've been noticing that guys like me because I'm nice and positive, and I'm the only person that will listen to what they have to say and I'm kind to them. That messes with their emotions and feelings though and is pretty much always mistaken for love. I first noticed with Romeo, when he was Kedar, we'd always sit down and talk about things. I'd give advice and be kind to him, and then he one night, he kissed me."
"You kissed!?!" Lukas gasped.
Eden didn't respond and just continued, "Then it happened to Aiden, I listened to how his friends left him and moved on, and then I agreed to be his friend, and I could tell he was beginning to develop the wrong feelings for me. And that's what I'm worried has happened to you, Lukas."
Lukas looked down at the ground for a minute in thought, then back at Eden saying, "I promise you this isn't that."
"How do you know that?" Eden questioned.
"I can't prove it, but this feeling inside me is growing stronger, and it's hard to just be your friend. I know I'm being way too dramatic, but I do really feel as if I love you," Lukas explained.
"Lukas, I'm sorry. I'd be all for it if... I knew if I loved you too. It's hard for me to get close to a man and not develop feelings for them, sorry it's weird, and... *sigh* sorry, I don't know how to explain it. But, I think we'd just have to be friends for now, is that ok?" Eden asked hopefully.
Lukas sighed in disappointment, but smiled and said, "Ok, but under one circumstance."
"What?" Eden queried.
"If you kiss me," Lukas smirked feeling clever.
"Oh, I see what you're trying to do here. Hm..." Eden thought, "I guess one kiss wouldn't hurt."
"Hah! I win, now go on," Lukas smiled then gently closed his eyes and waited.
Eden rolled her eyes and smiled at his dorkiness, then leaned in. She kissed him and they stayed like that for a while. Lukas enjoyed it, but realized it was taking too long. As much as he didn't want to, he stopped and looked at Eden. To his surprise, her eyes were open and pure white. He figured it was her powers kicking in, but then began to freak out. If she wasn't doing her weird brain powers to him, then... who was she doing it on?
(A:N: Yes this one is shorter, but hey, there was a kiss! So... you're welcome! Bye Biscuits)
