Chapter 2
To Romeo
Romeo walked through the woods far from Beacon Town and Champion City. As he was heading to the portal; the one that was hidden in the woods, he heard voices. It was of a woman and Romeo thought nothing of it, until he heard a familiar voice. "Is that... the Warden?" he thought; he directed his attention to the right of him, then hid to be able to spy on these two.
He saw the Warden, and he was sitting on a picnic blanket with a girl, she had long blonde hair, a headset on, and had a devious smile. The woman and The Warden were holding hands, though both of their bodies were adjusted away from each other. They both seem to have no interest in each other whatsoever, but occasionally someone would look at the other with a smirk, and that happened for about 3 minutes until Romeo went back on the road.
He became happy, but it was mostly caused by guilt. He was glad to see the Warden had found someone 'special' to him, and they seemed like a perfect match. This gave Romeo hope, but he still knew Xara would still not forgive him, not after what he had done. After a while of treading through the woods, and getting greeted by a couple of branches to the face, Romeo finally made it to the portal. He smiled at the thing, it was time for him to apologize for all the mistakes and sorrows he had caused. Romeo knew this was all pointless, but he wanted to at least try. Besides, the memory of Eden forgiving him after everything he had done to her, helped him see that anyone could be forgiven. Maybe even Ke-, well, maybe everyone one.
As much as Romeo wanted to forgive his brother, he didn't feel like it important to him, or his brother. Kedar didn't feel bad for doing everything he had, or at least that's what everyone thought, so why would he need to forgive Kedar for something he doesn't even care about in the first place. Romeo sighed and jumped into the portal; being teleported to underneath the bedrock.
Back at the campfire
"Seriously Jesse, where's the recording?" Eden laughed.
"How many times do I have to tell you, it wasn't a recording, I'm just that awesome," Jesse smiled crossing his arms.
"Mmhm..." Eden silently mumbled, then began looking behind Jesse and underneath his legs.
Jesse rolled his eyes at her 'closed mind' and then looked back at everyone else who was talking.
"I'm serious Petra, I had a massive crush on you," Axel blurted out laughing.
"You don't say? Well, sorry to burst your bubble but you're not exactly my 'type," Petra explained as Olivia and the two of them all laughed.
"Hey you guys, it's getting late," Lukas stated getting up.
"Aw, leave it to Lukas to take the fun out of everything," Axel grumped.
Lukas glared at Axel annoyed but shook it off. "Why do you feel the need to do that?" Lukas questioned going up to him.
"Do what?" Axel asked, perfectly knowing what Lukas was talking about.
Lukas sighed, fighting with Axel was pointless right then, and everyone went inside before everything became too awkward. They all walked inside the Order's headquarters until Eden stopped Lukas before entering. "Lukas, you seem, different?" Eden said staring into his eyes.
"Right, you've never seen me like this," Lukas remembered.
"Like what?" Eden asked.
"Well, this was how I used to act before I met you," Lukas explained.
"Happier? More adventuring? Understanding?" Eden ranted twisting his words into something different, "maybe, maybe we should take a break from talking to each other for a while."
"Woah, Woah Eden," Lukas gasped before putting his hands on her shoulders and looking her in the eyes, "trust me, that's the last thing I want."
Eden smiled all peachy like at him and said, "Ok, I'm glad you think that! I only suggested that because I thought that'd be for the best."
"But..." Lukas hesitated, placing his hands back at his sides.
"But what?" Eden questioned giving him a suspicious look.
"I'm moving back to my house tomorrow to continue writing my book in isolation; all the drama that we went through stalled me from writing the next chapter," Lukas explained.
Lukas expected Eden to become extremely sad or angry, but she surprised him. "I understand Lukas," she smiled hugging him.
"Y-you do?" he gave a confused stutter.
"Yeah, I mean, I also have a book I'd like to continue writing. That's kind of another reason I suggested that we'd stop talking to each other for a little while," Eden explained.
"Tha-that's fantastic!" Lukas quickly went and picked up Eden and spun her around all happy like.
Lukas meant it in a way as he was relieved that she understood, but Eden took it a little differently. After he placed her back on the ground, Eden put her hand on her hip and looked at him irritated. "Sorry, I'm just; just relieved that you understand the whole quiet writing thing," Lukas defended awkwardly.
Eden retracted her hand from her hip, and just shook her head and smiled at him. "Before we isolate ourselves..." he paused, "how would you like to come with me to my house tomorrow?"
"Sure. Sounds great." Eden walked off.
Lukas grinned at her; then turned around to head inside. "And I suppose you didn't just invite me to help clean?" Eden queried, suspicious of his intentions.
"Oh hey, look at the time; I suppose I should really be getting to sleep. Night Eden!" Lukas speeded up towards the door in an awkward shuffle.
Eden turned her head for a moment to admire the base; then looked forward and grinned to herself. Always pretending to be cool when he's actually a huge dork.
With Aiden
Aiden had somehow, successfully, found the hallway and the W.P. portal. Plus, just like Jesse had said, it was broken. Aiden fixed it, and after working up the courage, went into the portal. He showed up in the W.P. lair, and the first thing he noticed was all the creepy ominous sounds of the ender mites. Aiden shuddered at the gross sounds like the little diva he is; then looked for a way up because it was obvious he was underground.
It took a minute for his brain to process what this meant after he saw 'it'. "Aw crap," he groaned, "I knew I would have to face a serial killer; defeat them, and bring them back to Jesse. But Jesse never mentioned anything about stairs!"
After whining for about 5 minutes, Aiden looked back at the portal; breaking it so that way The W.P. didn't have any way out but with him.
After a minute or so of complaining again, Aiden sighed and began to walk upwards. It took Aiden a long time, and occasional breaks to make it up to the mansion. "Hello *huff* White Pumpkin!" Aiden yelled about a 7/8 way up the stairs like a FRICKEN CLUELESS IDIOT.
Honestly, no one knows why he did that, and I'm sure he couldn't have told you. If anyone had been with him, they would've smacked Aiden aside the head yelling, "oh great idea, let's attract the SERIAL KILLER, HEY CASSIE ROSE, DOWN THE STAIRS TO YOUR LEFT IS SOMEONE THAT IS JUST 'DYING' TO MEET YOU!"
With Cassie
Cassie was sitting on a window seat staring outside. It was dark and stormy outside, and she was gently stroking Winslow's back. "It's ok, Winslow. Even though we may be stuck here for the rest of our pathetic lives..." Cassie stopped for a moment to process that, "we've at least got each other."
"Hello *huff* White Pumpkin!" she heard someone yell from a far distance. Cassie gasped in shock, someone was in her house.
"Stay here Winslow, Cassie is going to be right back," she spoke in the third person.
She grabbed her white pumpkin mask and outfit; put it on; pulled out her axe, and went into her secret passageways. She went down the first floor of the house, and there she saw Aiden through a portrait. Aiden walked into the main room and was obviously creeped out by the pictures that Cassie never bothered to take down after 'last time.' "What does this moron want?" Cassie thought.
Aiden looked to the left, and then the right of him in a confused and weirded out way. Though as he stood there clueless for a minute; he didn't notice he was standing directly underneath a dispenser. Cassie knew this (obviously) and reached for the lever without taking her eyes off Aiden. The dispenser shot out arrows, they weren't poisonous but had slowness effects on them so she could raid his stuff without him running off.
But as the dispenser was triggered, Aiden moved forward to head into the next room. Cassie growled, and followed him into the kitchen. Aiden looked around the kitchen for a second, and then did what any other normal person would do, raid the kitchen for food. He searched for a moment, and Cassie took this opportunity to flick another lever. This one rearanged the furnceas, and another dispenser appeared in their place. Then it shot an arrow, but Aiden was just too lucky to let something like that hit him. At the same exact moment, Aiden bended over to open chest. He heard a noise above him; then looked behind him. The dispenser was replaced by a furnace before Aiden knew what had happened, and then the arrow de-spawned.
Cassie grumbled in frustration, "Why won't you die?"
She looked around for more traps, but stopped herself and thought, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."
She cracked her knuckles, reached back and grabbed her Diamond Axe; then jumped out of the painting. She was directly behind Aiden, and she grinned, it had been too long since she's had 'visitors'. She steathaly jumped after him, but Aiden moved again. The W.P. stumbled and fell over. She rolled for a minute, then landed with her back and feet up against a wall, and her head on the ground. She moaned in pain for a minute, and Aiden finally noticed her.
He took a look to the left and saw The W.P, she looked scary. He went over to her and bent over and asked, "Are you the White Pumpkin?"
"Yes..." she growled, this was just not her day.
"I've come to take you to Jesse," Aiden spoke formally as she laid against the wall.
The W.P's eyes widened, then glared at him. "Jesse? He's the one that left me here! Why does he want me?" Cassie asked.
She stood up with anger and continued to snarl at him.
Aiden stared at her for a moment; then said, "We- I mean, he got your letter about wanting to leave this place.
"Oh. come. on! If he really wanted me in his dimension, he would have come and gotten me himself," Cassie grumped as she crossed her arms.
"Personally, I think he's just trying to get rid of me," Aiden explained.
The awkward silence that came after made them both uncomfortable; neither of them knew what to say. "So, uh... your name's Cassie, right? Cassie Rose?" Aiden asked.
The W.P didn't respond. Instead she just continued to glare at him. "Could you take off your mask. You're freaking me out," Aidan questioned.
Once again she did not respond.
"Fine. Come on, let's head to Jesse's place-" Aiden stated as he took out the enchanted flint and steel.
Cassie looked at the thing desperately; then jumped at Aiden and began to attack him with her Axe. "What the heck!?!" Aiden yelled confused; trying keep the flint and steel away from Cassie.
The two wrestled with the flint and steel trying to overwhelm eachother. Until they both leaned back to pull harder, and then Winslow jumped in between them grabbing the flint and steel for herself. The two wher sent flying backwards, and both slammed against the wall. "Winslow!" The W.P yelled irritated.
(A:N: Heh, sorry it's been a while since I posted a chapter. I've pretty much completed the whole book, I'm just a little too lazy to have to go back through this and fix the grammar, spelling, and word choice to make it more pleasent and enjoyable to read. (I mean, I did. It's just a little annoying, but totally worth it in the end!) Hope you're enjoying this book so far, and bye!!!)
