Chapter 1
Eden smiled at Romeo a little sad, but new this was what he needed to do. After seeing what had happened with him and his old friends, this journey would be hard, but he was strong. That's the reason Eden admired him so; he was strong. Realizing this, Eden perked up and headed home. Worrying about him would only cause panic, she needed to put faith in him.
As she strolled along town to tell everyone that Romeo had left, she came to a familiar ally. Eden knew that Aiden wouldn't be jumping people anymore, but she stayed somewhat alert. She walked by it, but when she did, someone came walking out of the alley and ran into her. The two fell to the ground, and the person had fallen on top of her. They both shook their heads in confusion as the sudden pounce inflicted pain on them, but when Eden opened her eyes she wasn't too surprised. "Aiden!" Eden yelled irritated.
"Sorry, Eden," Aiden gasped as he quickly moved to get off her.
The two stood up, and Eden looked at Aiden and he looked back. "At least I wasn't trying to attack you this time..." he hesitated, giving an awkward smile.
"Yeah... O.K." Eden sighed.
She knew he wasn't lying, but this whole scenario was happening too frequently for her taste.
"What'cha doing?" she asked calmly.
"I was just getting some armor and weapons for my trip to The White Pumpkin's home, um... do you have any tips," Aiden questioned.
"Tips for beating The White Pumpkin?" Eden queried back.
Aiden shook his head to confirm her question, Eden thought about it for a minute; then became perplexed answering, "I'm not sure, I've never 'met' her before."
Aiden looked at the ground losing faith in himself, but Eden didn't want him to be afraid, so she said, "Just, try not to be scared. I hear serial killers can smell fear from a mile away."
Eden chuckled showing it was just a joke; she nudged his arm a bit and he laughed a little trying to calm down. "So, do you think everyone else will treat me as a friend if I catch the White Pumpkin," he asked with a hopeful smile.
Eden hesitated, she knew Jesse was only letting him do this because it would get Aiden out of his hair, but she replied, "I think it will help prove that you're being honest about this whole reformed thing, but becoming friends will depend on you."
"Well, at least you're honest." Aiden sighed; then walked off.
He stopped for a moment to ask, "What does the portal look like?"
"I think it's made out of gold and the actual teleporting stuff is green," Eden replied.
"Ok... thanks," he hesitated, then walked off towards the portal.
"Oh, Aiden!" Eden called out.
"Yes?" Aiden turned around, hopeful.
Eden paced over to him, then placed her hands on his shoulders and looked him in the eyes. She gave him a glare but then smiled. "Goodluck!"
Aiden rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless.
"Thanks," he paused to smile, "now I'm going before you interrupt me again," Aiden stated, running off.
"Wait, Aiden!" Eden called after him.
"Ugh, what!"
"Nothing..." She said before snorting; then turned around to head back home.
"Ha-ha..." Aiden laughed sarcastically.
After that, he finally left and headed towards the portal hallway that was deep in the forest. Eden grinned at him, amused with herself, and went 'home.' Finally, it was time for her to move back to her actual house. She packed up her stuff in her old room; examining the place before saying, "I'm so glad to be moving out of here."
The room was filled with melancholy memories, so living in it was no longer an option for her. Eden had a box of stuff in her hands; she didn't have much to move. She turned to leave and saw Lukas standing in the doorway. The two stared at each other for a minute, until Lukas broke the silence. "So, you're leaving today?" he asked quietly.
"Well yeah, I have a house here," Eden stated obviously, "but there's no reason to be sad about it, I live like 20 blocks from here. It'll legitimately take less than 5 minutes to get there."
"I know, I'm just sad because I won't be able to... you know, protect you. But, I know you can take care of yourself," Lukas hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck shyly.
Eden gave him a sympathetic smile, then walked over with the box of stuff in her hands. "Remember what I said Lukas, I'll always need you as a friend," Eden comforted.
"I know," he confirmed as Eden walked past him and out of the room.
"Hey also, can you grab the other box, I don't want to take two trips," Eden asked.
She was already a couple of blocks down the hallway so it was more of a demand than a request.
"Sure." He agreed as he grabbed it; then jogged up to her as the two went to Eden's house.
As a little time passed the two came up to her house, and it was a mess. It had not been fixed since the Prismarine Guy, so Eden has been needing to clean up and re-build it. "Thanks for helping me, Lukas, see you later," said Eden.
She set the box down and took a look around at the work that was needed to be done. "Eden, if you want... I could help you rebuild," he offered, setting the box next to her.
"Really," she asked, a little shocked.
"Yeah." Lukas smiled, "So, where are your building blocks?"
"Right there." Eden pointed towards a chest.
Lukas and Eden both grabbed some wood and started to rebuild. After about 10 minutes, they finished. Next, they began to]put away Eden's stuff, and once that was done, Lukas headed to the door to leave. "Thanks for helping Lukas," Eden thanked.
She gave him a quick smile, then turned towards the corner to place her bed.
"No problem," said Lukas.
He then hesitantly looked over at Eden's desk and walked over without her knowing.
Lukas quietly placed a frame by her computer and then left saying, "Well, I need to go. Don't forget we're all going to the base to hang out tonight. Bye, Eden!"
Eden smiled to herself as she adjusted her bed against the wall, then stood up and turned around to see Lukas had already left. Eden smiled at the ground, then looked back up and went over to her desk. As she sat down, she planned on trying to give her old story another go, until she looked to the right of her computer and saw a picture frame. She picked it up, and on it she saw a picture of her and the gang. She thought it was sweet, and then whispered, "Thanks, Lukas."
She turned on the computer and just as she suspected, saw her journal opened that she had started 4 years ago. Sure enough, the journal entry stopped suddenly due to her being distracted. As evening fell, it was around 8:30, and Eden knew she had to leave to meet the group.
Eden joined everyone behind the base, and they all sat around the campfire. "Hey wait," Jesse noticed, "what happened to Romeo, I haven't seen him all day?"
"He left for under the bedrock."
Eden stated calmly, eating a piece of stake. "What?" Everyone gasped in confusion.
"Yeah, he needed to fix some wounds from his past."
Eden explained, remembering what she had sawn in Romeo's brain the other night.
Everyone kind of just went silent until Axel spoke up and said, "Why don't we tell stories?"
Everyone smiled at him and agreed. "Who should go first?" Jesse asked.
"How 'bout Petra, she's always going on different adventures," Eden suggested.
"Yeah." Everyone agreed.
"Fine." Petra rolled her eyes.
She went silent for a minute, examining her surroundings to see if anything reminded her of a good story until she saw Jesse; then smiled.
"Ok then. Story time... this story, my friends, is about I saved Jesse's butt and practically saved the whole world on this one fateful night...." Petra began all dramatic like.
Jesse grunted in embarrassment, knowing exactly what story she was about to tell. "Petra, yes you saved me but you hardly saved the worl-" Jesse was interrupted by Eden who shoved her hand onto his mouth to shut him up; staring at Petra fascinated.
A second or so later, Jesse glared at Eden, and then silently took Eden's hand and tossed it away from him. "Let's begin," Petra said rubbing her hands together maliciously.
"It was a dark night, and the sounds of Zombie grunts filled the salty air. As I was walking through the woods, going for a leisurely stroll, I heard the sound of Jesse's high pitched squeal for help," Petra paused because Jesse cut in saying, "I don't squeal."
Everyone ignored his comment, and Petra continued, "Help!" Petra mimicked Jesse in the most pathetic voice possible, "he called out. I then answered his call and ran to his rescue. Before I got there, I was afraid he'd be dead because of his lack of strength, be he was lucky to still be alive. I threw my old pickaxe at the spider that was attacking him, and then jumped and killed off the rest. After I saved his butt he began to follow me and started to 'constantly' thanked me for my heroic act," she stopped for a second, and Jesse stated, "I thanked you twice."
"Anyway, after we got to my mine cave, I offered him the chance to make a sword but," she took a minute to chuckle, "he was so nooby that he didn't even know how."
"I knew how!" Jesse gasped offended.
"Ya sure, and then I had to tell him that it took two pieces of cobblestone and a stick, which I graciously offered to him. Then after he made a new sword, which mind you wasn't much better than his other one, we headed back to town to make my trade with Ivor. But we were stopped by a bunch of creepers and Zombies, I could have beaten them all, but Jesse chickened out and pulled us both off the bridge. And after that, we swam back to town. The End!" Petra finished bowing in her chair.
Everyone clapped, and Jesse glared at her; then asking, "Did you just tell that story to humiliate me?"
"No, why ever would you say that?" Petra questioned, "did I thought?"
Jesse went silent, then mumbled, "Maybe..."
Eden laughed, then hugged his side and said, "It's ok Jesse, I still think you're cool."
"Thanks, Eden," Jesse said.
He began to pat her head but glared at Petra. After that, everyone just sat around the campfire laughing and having fun, and then Lukas mumbled, "It's all over now."
He had mumbled it realizing all their troubles were gone. Romeo and Eden were no longer Admins, and nothing was threatening their lives at the moment. Everyone turned and smiled at him. "It's all over now? That sounds like a song," Jesse stated.
He then grinned; grabbing a guitar out of nowhere, and began to strum it as everyone clapped along.
A:N Phew, this took forever. Sorry, this sequel's long overdue, but I've been doing other things and posting artwork and I got distracted. It's been almost a year since I've laid eyes on this first chapter and it was kind of sloppy. I edited though, I spent some time fixing the grammar and wording in this chapter, so it's easier and more enjoyable to read.
Hope you enjoyed the first chapter of A New Adventure and I'm excited to have you read this adventure I've created.
(It's been 3 years and I'm still working on this series)
Bye Biscuits!
