Third year rolled around and I couldn't wait to return to Hogwarts. When I climbed on board I ran instantly ran into Adrian, who was walking out of his compartment.

"Sorry." I said as I sent him a frown.

"It's fine, it was all my fault. I actually wanted to talk to you." He said as he cleared his throat.

"About what?" I asked as I looked up at him.

Adrian was a slytherin in my class, who though he was good looking was a snob and a jerk.

"I was wondering if you, would like to go out with me?" He asked as he stared down at me.

My eyes went wide and I looked at him shocked. I quickly cleared my throat and looked down at my hands.

"Is this some joke?" I asked angrily.

"Of course not. Why ever would I do such a thing?"

"Because you hate me."

"I did in our first year, but you are a beautiful young woman. And I'd be honored to take you out in a date." He said with a smirk.

"Fine. I'll go." I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"That's great. How about um your first Hogsmeade visit?" He asked with a smile.

"Great." I said as I nodded my head.

"Good, I'll see you then." He said as he turned and walked away from me.

I found the boys and made Sirius scoot over so I could sit beside him.

"What are you so happy about?" Sirius asked with a laugh.

"I just got asked out." I explained.

"Who must I fight for your love?" Sirius asked with a frown.

"Adrian." I said with a smirk.

"What?" They all asked looking over at me.

"Adrian asked me out."

Almost instantly the atmosphere changed and everything became serious.

"You can't actually go out with him." Sirius said as he set up.

"I already told him I would." I said as I looked over at him.

"Cass, I swear to you that Adrian isn't doing this from the kindness of his heart." Remus said as he looked over at me.

"It's just a date what's the worse that could happen?"

"Cassandra, please I am begging you, don't do it." Sirius begged.

"I'll think about what you said." I said as I nodded my head.

The train stopped and we finally arrived at Hogwarts. All night I thought about what the boys had said and then it came time for Hogsmeade I met up with Adrian.

"Ready?" He asked with a smirk.

"Yea, let's go."

I know that the boys are probably just looking out for me, but I'm sure that I can handle myself.

"I'll meet you at the three broomsticks." He said softly.

I nodded my head and went inside. I set down at a table and quietly waited for Adrian to arrive. A couple minutes passed and before I knew it, Severus set down in front of me.

"I was stood up, wasn't I?" I asked with a frown.

"Yea, I overheard him telling some Slytherin's his plan and so I came to warn you." He said softly.

"I'm an idiot." I said as I covered my face.

"You're not an idiot. You just trust the wrong people sometimes." He said as he sent me a small smile.

"To be honest, I was just trying to forget a stupid guy." I said as I hit my head on the table.

"And who is this guy?"

"It's not important." I said as I leaned back in my chair.

"You can trust me."

I shot him a look and he nodded his head.

"Right, how about I fix your horrible date?" Severus asked as he let out a laugh and sent me a reassuring smile.

We spent the whole 'date' talking and sharing some fries and a shake. It was probably the best first date and I was thrilled when I arrived back at Hogwarts and Severus put an arm around me.

Adrian and his friends were waiting for me, to most likely make fun of me. But instead, they where shocked to see me and Severus.

"Oi! Thanks for ditching me! Severus and I had a great date!" I called to him.

The look on his face was priceless and I would never forget it as long as I lived.

The next day however everything changed. I was on my way to the library, when I ran into Remus, who looked like he was going to pass out. He was leaning against a shelf and his eyes where closed.

"Remus, are you okay?" I asked as I crouched down.

"Yea.. I'm fine. Just tired."

"Let's get you to the hospital wing." I said as I helped him up.

When we made it inside he was barely able to stand. I helped him lay down and then got Madam Pomfrey.

"Let's see shall we?" Pomfrey asked as she walked up to us.

"I'm fi-"

"Stop lying. He nearly passed out twice on the way here. I think he is sick." I said as I cut him off.

"It's probably due to his illness." Pomfrey said softly.

Remus froze up as I set him down on a bed.

"Illness? Remus, are you sick?" I asked as I looked over at him.

"I'm fine. Just a bug." Remus said quickly.

Pomfrey walked away and I sent him a look.

"I'll explain it later, okay... I promise." He said as he laid down.

"Okay, but I expect to know everything. I'm your friend after all." I said as I sent him a small smile.
