chapter 2
I accidently deleted this chapter, so I had to copy paste so it's all bundled up in one paragraph. I'll edit it every once in awhile to fix it, and I'm sorry about this...
"Come, wake up! Open your eyes and gaze at your new body!" A voice, Noius said. She opened her eyes and immediately noticed how weird she felt. She looked at her hands... hands? She looked all around her body. The, once snake, was now a human child. She tried to stand, but it was proving difficult. The god helped her learn to stand, and do other basic actions. She was quick to learn, and felt accomplished at the victory of walking normally. Before sending her off, Noius spook again, "One more piece of advice. You are a child, you will need to find a family and food, raw rabbit isn't good for you now. Another thing, make sure to learn about magic, it's the only way for you to get your venom back, although I'm sure you'll be a natural at poison magic. Got it?" She nodded, then Noius waved goodbye before disappearing. Now she was all on her own.
She looked back at the rabbit in sadness, she remembered how the God- Noius, said that the rabbit wasn't good for her like this, but it still made her sad. She turned in the opposite direction of the rabbit, and walked. She kept walking, only stopping to check out the flowers, berries, bugs, or the few birds she would see. She always loved the forest, and she hoped being in a human family wouldn't take the forest away from her. She even saw a lake, where she was better able to see her features. She had short-ish hair, with the top being green, and the tips being yellow, it matched the colors of her snake body, her belly used to be yellow, and her back used to be green. She also saw her eyes, which were also yellow. She opened her mouth to yawn, only to see her teeth. She had four fangs, two on top, and two on bottom, although the ones on top were much longer than the bottom ones, in fact the bottom fangs were quite short. (Not short enough to not notice them, but still short.) She also saw how dirty she was, she was thinking about washing off in the lake, when she heard a noise to her right.
She went over, and noticed a cart go by, before coming to a stop. The one controlling the horses got up and went over to the horses, he wore some shiny armor... same as the person who had sat next to the rider. The one controlling the horses was checking the horses and the beams that connected the horses to the carriage. The other man went around to the former-snake's side and opened a little curtain. A voice erupted, even though she couldn't see his face, she could still hear the man in the carriage speaking loud and clear. "Why have we stopped!? This is outrageous! If we don't hurry we'll be late!" The voice yelled angrily. The man in shiny armor seemed on edge, but spoke in a calm manner, "S-sir, something is in our path, it is stopping us from advancing." The man explained. "What is there!??!" The angered voice asked. "A tree, sir." The man answered. The angered man in the carriage grew more angry, and continued to yell at the shiny man. The former-snake didn't like the man, and was thinking about leaving, when something happened. Suddenly, multiple men came out of the forest, robbing the carriage. She saw the angered man as he was taken out of the carriage, the man had many shining jewels and necklaces on him, most being made of gold instead of silver. He was on the heavier side, not insanely obese, but also not skinny by any standards. As she watched this, she looked at the shiny jewels and hooded figures with interest. The hooded figures stole the shiny objects, and took the Armor from the once shiny men. The hooded figures left the guards armor-less, and the man with only the clothes on his back. The man was furious by this, yelling at the guards, and also cursing other people the former-snake did not know. She decided to lean forward to hear better, but she fell through the bush, making the angered man see her. He immediately started taking his anger out on her, he ran up and started to yell at her, which then turned into him stomping on her, she was unable to get away from his barage in time, not being used to this body yet. The man was stopped, however, by one of the hooded figures. She saw one of them push the man onto the ground, a second hooded figure walked over to her, and spoke quietly, "Hello there, are you alright?" In turn she nodded, "Where is your family?" She stared at him before answering in an even quiter voice, "I don't have one, I've been told to look for one." The man seemed surprised by this, but she just stared at him before speaking. "Will you be my family?" She asked, tilting her head. The man hesitated, before whispering in her ear to go in a certain directing, looking back to make sure no one was looking, and then pointed in the direction he wanted her to go. She nodded, asking why, to which he answered, "Because I don't want these guys to see us, okay?" "Okay!" She said back. She got up, before leaving to do what she was told. The two hooded figures left, before the one that stopped the man spoke, "So what was up with her Kier?" The man who spoke to the former-snake (Kier) answered, "She says she doesn't have a family, and that she's looking for one. Get this, Monty, she asked if I would be her family, just like that!" The other figure, Monty, thought for a second, before asking, "Well, what did you tell her?" "Well it sure is charming, and I couldn't just leave her there, so I told her to go somewhere else, so she wouldn't get berated by that douche again. I mean, she obviously doesn't have anywhere else to go." Kier answered. Monty seemed deep in though, before stating, "Well you could keep her. They might let you adopt her." Kier was very surprised by this, "You sure?! I mean... I don't know how to take care of a kid!" Kier even seemed slightly embarrassed. "Well lets go meet up with this kid your talking about." Monty said, waiting for Kier to show the way. Kier nodded, before they headed in the former-snake's direction.
