Alyssa blinked my eyes open. She turned over in my bed and pulled my pillow over her head. "Five more minutes..." she muttered. "Alyssa. Get up." Her mother said firmly, snatching the pillow away. "But its summer!" Alyssa mumbled sitting up. Then her mom gave her a big grin and handed her an envelope.

She gave the envelope a surprised look before taking it scanning the cover. "Alyssa Վΰຼ029, Hello 55 Drive," She flipped it over to the seal.

Her eyes widened as she looked at it. The red seal had the Hogwarts symbol. She felt a wide smile come over her face she hopped off her bed and started to take off the seal. She pulled out a piece of parchment and unfolded it.

"Dear Alyssa Վΰຼ029,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts of witchcraft and wizardry. Please find a list of all the necessary books and equipment. Term starts September 1st.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall."

-Later-

Alyssa waved my mom goodbye as the bricks that held the entrance to Diagon Alley closed. She had a big dopey grin on her face as she turned away from the brick wall. 

She messed with her robe sleeve as she walked down the street looking at the shop signs. She stopped at the wand shop and pushed the door open slowly.

Alyssa surveyed the shelves upon shelves of wands. She walked up to the front desk and peered into the back.

"Hello??" she called. an old man walked out. He had messy gray hair and was wearing wizarding robes. "Hello and welcome to Ollivander's wands" He said, "I'm Garrick Ollivander. Getting a wand I assume?" "Yep!" Alyssa said cheerly. 

He looked her up and down. "Yes... I think..." He turned around and reached up and grabbed a box and set it on the counter.

"11 inch spruce." he said taking the lid off the box, "Core of a phoenix feather. Not very flexible." He said handing her a wand. Alyssa inspected it for a second before waving it.

Books went flying and almost hit Ollivander. "No, No, not it" he said taking the wand. He put the wand back in its box and set it aside. 

He took another one off a shelf and took a beautiful wand out. It had a gleaming gold handle and pure black wood with what looked like silver wiring wrapped around the wood.

"11 inch African black wood." He said, "Core of unicorn hair. Kind of flexible." Alyssa took the wand and waved it. The books that had been thrown magically floated to their places. "Yes! Yes! Very good!" said Ollivander.

-Later-

Alyssa was standing between platforms 9 and 10. She was nervous someone would catch her walking through a wall. She took a deep breath and started running at the wall and went straight through.

She looked up and saw "Platform 9 3/4". She smiled and rolled the cart over to were the others were. She rushed over to the Hogwarts Express and started looking for an empty compartment. 

She couldn't find one, so she opened the door to one that held one person. "Uh, Hi. Could I sit here?" She said to the girl who sat there. She had long blonde hair which was in a lose ponytail.

"Sure." she said. Alyssa sighed in relief and sat down across from her. "My name is Alyssa." she said. "Kaycie." said the girl.

"Nice to meet you!" Alyssa said.
