Ruby was standing at the door. Sapphire went over to him.

"What was the call about?"

"Something's wrong with Emerald. Wally wouldn't give me details."

"So we're leaving now?"

"I don't want to make Wally wait. If it's urgent enough to call in the middle of a meeting, it can't wait." Sapphire sighed.

"Should one of us tell the others?"

"I will. Get Troppy ready to go." She nodded and went out while Ruby went to the others.

"Well?" Gold frowned, impatiently. Ruby locked eyes with Red.

"We have somewhere we need to be." The group groaned.

"Can't it wait?" Crystal whispered.

"No. The person that called doesn't call in the middle of a meeting. Sorry." He smiled and went outside. Sapphire was waiting.

"Let's go."

Wally was still in Emerald's room when the duo arrived. Emerald was whimpering and twisting in his sleep. He would murmur something every once in a while. Wally looked up when the duo walked in.

"How is he?" They went over.

"Not good." Wally whispered. "He's been like this since after the call."

"What happened?" Ruby shook Emerald lightly. He whimpered quietly.

"I don't know. He's been scared for a while now."

"Scared? Emerald? No..."

"He woke up like this..." At that moment, Emerald shot awake. Wally wrapped his arms around the smaller boy. "Sh..." Emerald tried to pull back. "Sh sh sh... it's ok." Emerald paused before curling into a ball. Sapphire frowned.

"Someone did this to him. But who? And what's wrong?"

"Let's hope that we can figure it out." Ruby whispered with a gulp. "If we have to turn to the other Dexters, then we will. But until then, let's try to handle this ourselves." The other two nodded. Sapphire picked up Emerald. He had fallen asleep again. He was tensed up.

"We'll figure it out... Emerald... hang in there..."
