After an influential talk,preetha became more confident and fearless girl.As said,she impressd karan by her knowledge in the next surgery.Days pass by,she came to know much about karan.Not as a senior or junior doctor but they are good friends now.

Preetha is  having popular name in hospital.She is now a friend to everyone.On one such day,after a session with patients preetha and rahul came across each other in cafeteria.

Preetha: hey rahul,How you are doing?

Rahul: hello preetha,i am good.What about you?

preetha: Just completed rounds.......so what else?

Rahul: thumhi kehna hai yaar......aaj kal jo bhi ho sirf thum ho yaar.bahut busy rehna lage hai thu haa?? Kabhi kabhi hamare muh ko bhi dekhlo...

Preetha: right.....thumhara muh dekhna padegaa!!!!

Rahul: haaayee.....mein tho hu handsome...... kaise lagtha hai mujhe dekhkar? i know kuch kuch hotha hai.....par kya hotha hai kisi ladki mujhe kabhi nahi kaha....thum batao na

Pretha: haa hotha hai  na bahut kuch ultiya karne ka man kartha hai.........isiliye ladkiya bhaag jathi hai thumhe dekhar hi.....and she laughs

Rahul(frowning and narrowing his eyes): achaa.....aur thum kyun bhag nahi rahi ho? kyunki thum ladki hi nahi ho.... and now he laughs

Preetha(laughing): kam se kam ye tho thum maana ki thumhari shakal bahut bure hai.........mein ladki hu isiliye thumne mujhe pucha hai.So baath khatham.

 Preetha(stops laughing and in a serious tone): dost ki naate meri ek baath maanogi?

Rahul(seeing her serious tone): kya hein?

Preetha( seriously): as a doctor mein suggest karthi hu ki.......thumhe plastic surgery ki bahot jaroorat hai.(he widen his eyes) aise shakal k sath aur kithna zindagi beethaoge thum?

rahul (totally insulted): mujhe insult kar rahi ho......mein thumhe saath beithungi nai....beithungi kya baath bi nahi karungi....katiff doctor arora.

And he stands and goes from there.when he is crossing preetha.preetha stops him by holding his hand.

 Preetha: achaa.....theekey.sorry.....kuch jyada hogaya.

Rahul: not enough?

Preetha(widen her eyes but says): Haaa ok....Dr.Rahul khanna mujhe maaf kardo

Rahul(giving attitude):  nai nai.....mera dil nahi bara. come on try again......

Preetha(opens her mouth seeing his attitude but smiles): mein soch rahi thi ki meri birthday treat dedu  tumhe .Tumhara favourite chicken pizza with ddiet coke and hot choclate but thum mujhe maaf nahi karni haina its okay........

Rahul(now swirls his tongue and gulps): ch..cha..chal...theekey.Itna yummy and tasty sorry boli tho koun maaf nahi karega haa......jao katif cancel.waise kab jaana hai??

Preetha(smirks): kaha??

Rahul: pizza treat de rahi ho na?

Preetha: kisliye?

Rahul: thumhari birthday ki treat?

Pretha: Mera birthday december mein hai tho tab pucho mein dungi

Rahul(open his mouth wide): Kya....yeh cheating hai.Thum ne mujhe dhoka diya!!!!

Pretha: haa main thumhe sorry bola thumne attitude dikhaya....tho mein googly pheky thum out hogaya.ok jokes baad mein continue karenge....i have to leave now.Byee.

while she is going she remembers something and comes back.

Preetha: waise rahul......meri plastic surgery ki advise ke baare mein jarur sochlena.....bhulna math

and she runs from there 

rahul(shocked and turns his face to her): preetha main chodungi nai thujhe.......

Preetha(runs): dekhthe hai....bye...sochlenaaa!!!!

Preetha goes to karans cabin.She asks his attendant whether karan is in his cabin or not.He says he is in cabin.So she goes but doesn't find karan there.She wonders where he would be as no surgery is scheduled and its his consulting time.She comes out and asks the attendant.

Preetha: vamsi thumne kaha ki karan sir andar hai..... par vo nahi hai!!

Vamsi(then remembers): maaf kijiye mam.meine bhul gaya.mein karan sir ko cafe ke pass  jathe hue dekha

Preetha: ohhh.....par mein tho abhi tak vaha hain.meine nahi dekha...

Vamsi: mujhe nahi pata mam.....

Preetha says ok and she goes thinking he might be attending prime cases.

In rahul's cabin

Rahul opened his cabins door and got shocked seeing karan there.Its the first time karan is in his cabin.Though Rahul is junior to karan by 2 years he calls him by his name.They share work friendship not more than that.Seeing karan in his cabin,rahul is surprised for a minute and said

Rahul: hey karan......I am surprised to see you here.

Karan(annoyed and taunting): The same i am surprised that i am waiting for you.......so where were you?

Rahul: I am in cafeteria with preetha......kya baath hai ? why are you waiting for me?

Karan:aaj kal bahut free lag rahi ho thum .....(he stands) So Dr.rahul.......i had a good news for you.

Rahul(confused):ohh good and may i know  whats that?

Karan(with a bit angry tone): We have a new team of research students in oncology department.I want you to guide them.Be with them and make a good presentaion to present it in medical conference

Rahul: But karan.....I was allotted to do here.

Karan: No problem.Dr.Preetha will handle it.By the way it will only take a two week thats it and you will be back.

Rahul: But karan.....how can she do it?She is new here

Karan: thumhe bahut fikar ho rahi hai uske baare mein......

Rahul: aisa nahi hai....mein tho bas

Karan(in a bit angry tone): is there anything else to say rahul?

Rahul(with helplessness):nothing karan....I will head them.

Karan: Thats good..... 

and karan went from his cabin.Now rahul is really shocked.He has some  questions.1)Is this the real reason that made karan to come to his cabin 2)Why he looks angry ?3) Why am i changd suddenly? As they are unanswerable....he came to conclusion that

Rahul: Whatever it is......I have to follow him.

In Karan's cabin

Karan sat on the coach and laid down.He thought about what has happened in the last one hour.

Karan is having good bond with preetha.He can say preetha is excited,enjoying and happy working with him.Here,he is happy being with her.He didn't think of whats next with her.He is enjoying just enjoying every second with her.

When he is going on cafeteria way.....he saw preetha holding rahul's hand.He didn't listen the conversation but seeing them like that didn't feel good to his heart.He can conclude that rahul and preetha are having a very good relation. Rahul is a close but not so close friend to preetha. Everybody knows about their friendship and enjoys their leg pulling.But, it didn't seem well with karan.

karan(in mind): Kya kar rahe ho karan? Why am i so angry on rahul? I know preetha and rahul are good friends.But what this friendship leads to? if its more than that.......he suddenly opens eyes.

His eyes shows his insecurity and an unknown tension is seen in his face.At that time preetha came to his cabin and went near him.Though his eyes are open he is in his world.He didn't notice preetha.

Preetha called his name many times seeing no reaction from him.she had put her hand on his shoulder and moved him.then karan saw preetha. He is shocked at her sight and blinked 2,3 times to confirm whether  it was true or not.he then sensed her hand on his shoulder ,he felt happy.he felt special.a smile curved his lips without his knowledge.She is asking or speaking something but he could not understand just feeling the moment.

Here preetha,having moving him and not understanding the reason for his smile she increased her voice.

Preetha: Sir....Sir...are you OK?

Now karan is fully conscious.

Karan : ha....ha....I am fine.

Preetha removed her hand and asked him.

Preetha: kya hua sir.......mein kitn der se aapko bula rahi hu? aap mujhe response hi nahi diya.......app thik tho ho??

Karan: I....I am fine preetha. I am just thinking about next surgery.

Preetha: But there is no surgery until next week??

Karan: haaa.....main...main...

Preetha: Sir if there is anything bothering you.....you can share with me.

Preetha is now comfortable with karan .She treats him as a good person.She is concerned for him. 

Karan: nothing like that ,I am fine completely.

Preetha: Jhut mat boliye sir.....your eyes are saying you are not well.You are tensed about something

karan(lost in her words): sach mein thumhe dikh raha hai meri ankhe mein?par  thum kyun nahi dekhthe ki  mein thumhe kya dikhana chahtha hun?

Preetha(confused): Sir kya keh rahi ho?? mujhe kya dekhna hai....

Karan( realised what he said holds his head): kuch nahi i am having headache.I need some rest.Can you do me a favor?

Preetha(still confused): Sure sir....

Karan: Transfer my appointments to you.....If any critical case is up hold it I will attend it tomorrow.Consult Dr.Sandeep if anything regarding.

Preetha: Yes sir....I will do it.

karan: I will leave pretha....take care.

He starts moving when she calls him.he stops and she comes to him.

Preetha: Sir i am sure you are not well.Whatever it is don't bother about it.I always believe if anything is in our control we should not worry about it and if its not in our control its useless to worry about it.I know you might have known it before but don't worry sir everything will be alright.

Karan(looking and listening at her): Thank you preetha....it felt good.

Preetha: Bye sir....take care.

Karan: Bye.

And he leaves.He goes to his car driving towards home.

In Car

Karan: Preetha is right.This is in my control but if it goes out of my hands i cant do anything.I cant take the chance of losing her.I cant do this anymore.I started this in a funny way but its going serious.No i am taking it serious.I have to speak with them.I should do something before any other thing happens.

In preetha's cabin

preetha: karan sir ko kya hogaya? kuch der tak vo thik the par achanak kya hogaya.....aur mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ki vo meri waja se pareshan hai....nai mein kuch jyada soch rahi hu.No but is that because of me??

Both think about each other.
