After a confusing,irritating also a happy day preetha got ready for the new day and went to dining hall for breakfast.She will always have a beautiful morning with her family and as usual she was dropped by her brother at hospital.Her brother knows about the yesterday incident he teased her for sometime but said everything will be okay.She with happy but nervous,confident but confused face entered the hospital hoping nothing should go wrong today.She reported and went to Dr.Rahul. Dr.Rahul is a nice,cool boy.They exchanged greetings and he gave a brief introduction of everything to her.She started going with him for checking patients.

After a while, karan entered and was about to go to his cabin when he saw her wearing an apron and stethoscope hanging around her neck with loose hair.It was the first time he saw her as a real doctor.With an unknown smile on his face,he quickly clicked her pic and observed her treating the patients.He is mesmerized at her sight and her way of treating.Before she saw him he went to his cabin opened her pic in his mobile and continued staring her until he was called for an emergency.

A week passed like this.He used to observe her without her knowledge and sometimes follow her to her home and his mornings and nights start and end with her.He became not a love sick puppy but a healthy lovable puppy.

After a week

Preetha became  a happy go doctor adjusting to her duties still managing to get appreciations from fellow peers and senior doctors. Rahul and preetha became friends now.And today rahul should give a report on preetha to karan. Karan called both of them to his cabin.Actually he doesn't need any report as he himself saw her abilities many  times but its the procedure. Rahul gave a very good feedback and her areas of expertise. Karan now allotted her as his assistant.

Now preetha got shocked but happy at the same time.But she is nervous because of the first day incident.In this week, she communicated less with him but got to know that he was graduated from Harvard medical school and he is one of the top doctors of the hospital.By her observance she could say he is friendly ,zero attitude person and very serious about work.As his assistant,she joined him for the surgery.

In OT

Karan was seriously operating with a team of 5 members.

Karan:  Preetha ,complete the remaining procedure 

It was her 1st surgery and also with karan made her hell nervous.Her hands were shivering and could not do it.She remained silent and dumb at that moment.All other doctors stared at her confusedly. Karan understood the situation.

Karan: OK let me complete the sutures and it might get complicated.

Preetha was thankful to him  for saving her and observed the procedure.After the surgery she is in cafeteria thinking about what happened.She is afraid.She is afraid of losing her dreams.She is afraid of her hard work failing in front of her fear.She is silent and weeping.At that time she heard a sound and looked up, karan sat in front of her.She immediately stood up.

Preetha: Sir,aap yaha??

Karan: kyun nahi aa sakthi........i guess cafeteria mein sab doctors aa sakthe hai 

Preetha(stammers) : ye...ye..yes sir but mera matlab vo nahi hai....mera mathlab... aap yaha

before she completes

Karan: Preetha first sit (she sits).....i came to get some coffee for myself.I saw you alone so thought to give company. that's it!! So what are you free time jobs?

Preetha : Freetime job mathlab?

karan: uffoo preetha...... thumhara hobbies kya hein?

pretha: Mujhe nahi patha hobbies ko free time jobs kehthe hain sir.......i love book reading,gardening and i am rain lover sir.

Karan: ye tho mujhe patha hain .....

Preetha: aapko kaise pata main rain lover hu?

karan(suddenly realized  and stopped drinking coffee): mai...maine guess kiya vo sach hogayi.i am very good guesser you know!!!Aur kuch?

preetha: mein cooking bhi karthi hu sir I am great cooker you know......(karan sees her laughingly and this time she realized what she said)sorry sir I am a good cook.

Karan (controlling his laugh): mujhe nahi pata ache khana banathe logon ko cookers kahthe hain......

Preetha( also laughing on her word): galti se boli sir......

Karan: that's all right......so you are graduated from St Theresa?

Preetha: Yes sir

Karan: I heard that college has very tough professors and highly political influenced.

Preetha: political influence tho pata nai but professors are very good sir.I am their favorite student

Karan: On the same page ,I am also favorite student for my professors.Mr.Stephen  is the head and he used to love me a lot at the same time very strict with work.Those are the beautiful days.

Preetha(remembering about her college) : Yes sir That's true.....My professors also believe in me very much.

karan: you know preetha........on my first day in surgery class i should give a presentation i was well prepared and want to win the class and professors...but when i stood to give the presentation i could not utter a word out.i was afraid of the whole thing and stood there numb giving mad looks here and there.When the professor started asking me what happened,i did something which i could never forget.

Preetha(listening his words attentively and curiously) asked: what did you do sir??

Karan: mein.....mein....bhag gayi!!!!!

Preetha(widened her eyes and started laughing) : Sir ....aa....aap....bhag gayi.I cant believe it sir......you are one of the best doctors you were afraid of ur seminar and you ....you...(again started laughing)

Karan(saw around whether anyone is there): Please control your laugh. See you are the first person I said please don't tell this to anyone and put my respect at stake.(pleading her)

Preetha(controlling her laughter): O....Ok main kuch bhi nahi kahungi kisisebhi.kya hua uske baad?

Karan: aur kya hua mein bahar gayi ......mein bahut dar gayi thi.i thought i am not able to give a seminar could i be a good doctor? i lost confidence on myself.I wanna go home at that moment.I need somebody to share. 

Preetha started listening seriously as her state is this at present.

Karan: At that time i felt a hand on me i turned back and he is Mr.Stephen.I could not say anything to him just bowed my head down.I guess he understood what i need the most then.He took me for a walk and said one thing which changed my life.

Preetha(desperately): what did he said?

Karan after assuring himself that she is understanding,with a smile he continued.

Stephen: karan whats your aim ?

Karan: I want to do medicine in Harvard sir.

Stephen: So you might be happy that you are here. Aren't you?

Karan: I am very happy sir.

Stephen: Karan, There's a lot of difference between getting admitted in Harvard to do medicine and becoming a good doctor in Harvard. The first one requires hard work,talent but the second one requires courage,confidence and belief on ourselves .This is not the end of your achievement but a beginning for success.I strongly believe you aim for the second.

Karan was silent and just understanding what he said.

karan(realizing what he really wants): Yes sir you are right,I aim for the second.

Stephen: So now shall we go and listen your seminar?

Karan(with confidence): Yes sir,get ready to be impressed.

Now

Karan: Those words made me realize what i really want and what i really aim. Preetha to make our dream possible we should leave some things.Fear,nervousness and negative mind are the things we should leave.Otherwise dreams will remain as dreams.For girls or boys, along with makeup,wear confidence on your face it will make you look more beautiful or handsome.I hope you understand what i want to say?

Preetha by now understood every bit of what he said and realized what she wants and a smile stole her lips.

Preetha: yes sir,I got the point.

Karan : Well done karan(patting himself)

Preetha: for what sir?

Karan: You got ur smile back because of me.Actually you have to thank me but you are not so i am doing myself.Self applause is very important you know.

Preetha (smilingly): I am getting to know many things from you.Anyway thank you sir for both the times.

Karan: both the times?

Preetha: for saving me in OT in front of everyone and now making me realize myself.Thank you very much.I am indebted to you.agar aap nahi hothe tho patha ni mei kya karthi.....

Karan: That's completely OK.....keep smiling. I need to leave now.Bye

Preetha: Bye sir

Karan moved some distance when preetha ran to him and called him.

Karan: Kya hua? Firse thank you kehna hai ??

Preetha: Thank you tho mein kehdiya,but i want to know when is the next surgery as i want to impress my senior doctor.

Karan felt happy and surprised at her statement.A wide smile carved on his lips

Karan: mein already impressed hu aur kitna impress karogi??

Preetha: Kya sir.....mujhe samaj nayi aaya?

karan realized what he said and immediately covered .

karan: mera matlab mein already impressed hun thumhari academics dekheke....

Preetha: ohhh.....vo tho theories sir ab mein really thumhe impress karungi...

Karan: Not bad.....kuch time mein itna confidence.I will tell you when will be the next surgery scheduled.

Preetha: Thank you sir and get ready to be impressed.

Karan(mind): waiting for it

Karan: yeah we will see........ok bye.

Preetha : bye sir.

Karans side

Karan : aakhir main kaise bardash karungi thumhari aansu......thumhareliye kuch bhi.We met only few days ago but my feelings for you are going to last for centuries.

Preethas side

Preetha: he is really friendly and a very good person. Thank you so much sir this journey is going to be really good.I am eagerly waiting for the next day.

And both of them went to their works with a smile on their faces.They became a very good friends.
