Chapter 29

Chapter 29- Back And Then

"So that's why ye left, huh? To find me, and to bring humans as allies again?" Cloudjumper kneeled in front of you, giving you a sympathetic look.
"Yeah, but that's okay," You smiled at him.

"Yeah, and I see that yer friends with a dragon like hero too. Ryukyu is amazing, and strong.. and tough... and..." Cloudjumper trailed off, seemingly getting distracted. You tilted your head until Hiccup cleared his throat, snapping the dragon out of his thoughts.

"Sorry about that!" He sheepishly said, and you gave a big grin.
"That's alright!" You said, pulling his arm.
"Come on, we could go home now! Ma and Da are very worried, but now yer here, and we'll be a family again!" You declared, trying to pull him forward.

Cloudjumper's smiled faltered, and looked at Hiccup, who hugged his arms and and motioned his head.
"Tell them," He mouthed to the dragon, who sighed and nodded.

"I'm sorry, but I can't go home (Y/N)," That made you stop, and looked at him in slight shock.
"What? Why?" You asked in disbelief and shock at what he said. He looked down at the ground and didn't make eye contact with you.

"It's because-"

"Fury," You three turned your heads, seeing Aizawa standing in front of the gates, arms crossed and giving a hard stare.
"Aizawa," You said, a little surprised to see the hero here instead training with his intern.

Cloudjumper slightly pushed you back, glaring at Aizawa, who noticed his actions, and his eyes turned red. Hiccup noticed the tension, and waited in anticipation.

"Who are these two?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Turns out, having your uncle show up out of nowhere and wants to take you in is a little more complicated that it seems.
You sat next to Aizawa, sitting at a table across Cloudjumper and Hiccup. You and Hiccup gave each other nervous looks as Aizawa and Cloudjumper gave each other hard glares.
"So... you're related to Fury?" Aizawa finally spoke, gritting out his teeth.
"In a way, yes. I'm their uncle," Cloudjumper lifted his chin him, looking down at the human.
"Are you, now?" He raised an eyebrow.
"If any case, I should ask about ye. Are ye their guardian? Or are ye the one who captured them?" Cloudjumper accused, making you look at him in shock.
"Jumper, we should be polite, he's a pro after all," Hiccup tried to calm the dragon, but the two was still staring each other down.
"If you are their uncle, why did you not come for them?" Aizawa demanded, eyes still red.
"That's not of yer concern, but I was halfway across the world," Cloudjumper simply said, where you and Hiccup quietly exchanged conversation.
"I thought dragons have great senses?" Aizawa spat out, making Cloudjumper huff.
"We do, and I don't see ye having to face a threat to yer clan," He smugly stated, glaring daggers.
"It doesn't matter now!" You loudly said, causing the two to stop arguing and turned to you.
"Ye two need
"Uncle Cloudjumper is my family, and Aizawa is also family! I imprinted!" You gasped out, making Cloudjumper's eyes widened.
"Ye what?!" He shouted in shock, where Hiccup was making an 'uh oh' look.
"Imprint?" Aizawa asked, confused.
"How many humans did ye imprinted on?!" He demanded, concern on his face. You stayed silent for a moment, feeling awkward about your answer.
"...Who...?" He whispered out.
"Just Izuku! Don't worry Uncle, I didn't imprint on anyone else!," You reassured him, bowing slightly. He sighed in relief, and fell back on the chair.
"Ah, sorry about this confusing term, Eraserhead," Hiccup smiled awkwardly.
"Yeah," Aizawa grumbled.
"You see, when a dragon imprints, it means they trust the imprinted with all their hearts. That's how their father and I became friends. I gained his trust and he imprinted," He explained, motioning to you.
'They trust me, huh? That's... intriguing,' Aizawa thought, looking over at you.
'(Y/N) is not naive enough to trust any human they meet, I know that. So them trusting this human... he's taking care of them,' Cloudjumper thought, and sighed.
"I see you all are getting along!" The door opened, to reveal Nezu, who simply walked to his desk, and sat there with a smile.
"Now, I see Viking is here too, it's been a while since you have been around in Japan,"
"Not exactly a great tourist," Hiccup shyly said. Nezu supped his tea and raised his paw.
"Now, we shall talk about this new introduction of (Y/N) Fury's relative," That made you stand at attention, listening in.
"It seems that you have been around for a while now, Cloudjumper wasn't it?" You noticed him grip his arms together, and nodded. That made Nezu smile again.
"Fury sure did make a name for themselves the first day they arrived. First assumed as a villain, now noticed as a vigilante. We took them into custody due to the fact they formed a bond with a student here in UA," He explained, causing your face heat up a little.
"It was to prevent any more trouble from the press, and to supervise them on what they really are. They were doing just fine, and now you showed up with Viking, so it threw a wrench into the situation, hasn't it?" The four of you continued to listen to his words.
"We must protect our students, and we consider Fury as one, we we must keep them protected. So I doubt we could simply allow you to take them away in custody of your own. Relative or not," He simply said, making your eyes widened.
"Just Wait a minute, Principal Nezu," Hiccup protested, scooting forward a little in his seat.
"Please, just let us convince you even more. They have been wishing for their uncle for a while, reconsider on your decision," He pleaded for the animal.
Cloudjumper watched him, looking at the worried look on your face, turned to Aizawa, and down at his lap. He sat up straight, and placed his cup down.
"(Y/N)... won't be coming with us," He declared, chasing everyone to turn and look at him.
"What?" You asked, shocked in what he said.
"It's because... I'm living here," Even Hiccup was shocked, he didn't understand what Cloudjumper meant by that, but said nothing.
"It's true I could easily kill anyone in this room, or the whole building with ease, but I want to set an example for my Nix," The dragon grumbled angrily, making Aizawa instinctively pulled you away from him.
"It's also because, turns out Fury is having fun around their new human friends. Granted, the Hero Killer attack was very dangerous for them to be a apart of, but when I'm here, they're going to be protected," Cloudjumper admitted staring at Nezu.
"I'll live nearby, or at least on your roof, whatever I can to be near my Nix," He said with a determined look. Nezu set his tea down, and nodded.
"If that's the case," He started.
"How about you tell us why you left them? They must have been pretty young," While you couldn't hear it, Hiccup winced at the passive aggressiveness Nezu spat out with his smile.
Cloudjumper paused, looking at Hiccup, who nodded, and turned back.
"When I left, I left because there was a threat to the Hidden World," That made you more shock than you've ever been today. A threat? To dragons?
"Show up on of no where, I don't know how they found our home, but they did and declared that they won't stop until they'd kill us all," Your ears drooped in slight fear.
"It was weird, all of the humans who did knew us died out a long time ago, and he showed up, out of nowhere. He didn't had anyone else, but him alone, he managed to almost kill yer Uncle Skullcrusher," That made your eyes widened. Skullcrusher was a Rumblehorn, they were unstoppable.
"I promised Toothless that I would not only chase him away, but get rid of him forever. He didn't want that, but I couldn't let my family get killed because of humans again," Now you know where you got that set of mind, Cloudjumper always put family first.
"He had this quirk many years ago, that has the ability in passing down his own memories into his successor every generation. I don't know how, but I haven't found him at all after all these years," Aizawa listened closely, as Nezu sipped his tea with a small smile now.
"But that's how I found Hiccup, he had a quirk a long time ago, called Reincarnation, where he gets reborn every time he passes, and technically gets two quirks because of it. Don't ask me further questions, I still don't know," He smiled, motioning to Hiccup, who was a little flustered at the attention.
"Not only himself, but to a few friends as well. And we have been searching for that human ever since. I never got a hold of yer Da in forever, so maybe that's why he doesn't talk about me," You remembered the night, where Da eventually gave up on finding Cloudjumper when it was the birth of your siblings, it hit him hard.
"Ye weren't there at the time (Y/N) ye were with yer friend Winger's home during it. Ye wouldn't know about it," He shamefully told you.
"Very well," Nezu finally spoke, standing up on his chair and raised his paws up.
"If a villain is threatening one of our students, then we'll protect them no matter what," Nezu motioned to you, making you smile at him.
"You're allowed to stay, and they'll be under your care, but also our care too," Cloudjumper's tail flicked, and he bowed his head.
"I won't make ye regret it," Hiccup looked at him with a worried look.
"Cloudjumper, are you sure?" He whispered, and the dragon nodded with his hand to his chest.
"Whatever I can to save my clan, I would lay my life for them," If there's one thing about Cloudjumper and Toothless that is similar, is that both can be dramatic in everything.
"Let's not do that..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Sorry that we won't be able to go home soon, (Y/N)," Cloudjumper apologized, feeling responsible for you not returning.
"No, that's on me," You sighed, rubbing your arm.

"I guess I was a little hasty about finding ye. I just... wanted us to be a family again," You confessed, tears in your eyes. He softly smiled and ruffled your hair.
"I know that, I wished for that ever since I left, but right now, I have to stop this dragon hunter," He told you.

"Besides," He pointed at your phone, where the home screen was a photo of you, Izuku, Iida, and Uraraka.
"It feels like ye might imprint on a few more people, and ye can't just leave them behind, right?" He smiled teasingly.

You haven't thought about that, leaving the ones you imprinted just like that.
'I wanted to get rid of it... but I just can't,' You sighed, and smiled up at him.
"Promise me that ye will protect them, alright? Like how I imprinted on a human before, and I was with her until I had to leave," He told you.

"Ye imprinted? On a human? Who was it?" You asked in awe. He chuckled and looked at Hiccup.
"Valka, Hiccup's mother. She was an amazing human," He said, and Hiccup's face heated up in embarrassment.

"I thought... that imprinting on a human was shameful,"
"At ye kidding? The first one Toothless imprinted was Hiccup himself!" He chuckled.
"It took, a very long time though," Hiccup shuddered.

"Ye don't need to be shameful on imprinting on humans, it means ye trust humans like we have a long time ago. Trusting an 'enemy', is very alpha of ye," He reassured you, causing tears in your eyes.

'Yeah... I won't be shameful about it anymore... Zuku, Aizawa, and many more I will trust. An Alpha always protect the ones they love,'
