Yibo's pov~

Time past in blur after that. I rarely left my room. I just stayed on my bed. My family came to see me a few times and I can tell that they were worried for me.

Several thoughts spiraled in my mind. And all of them were about Zhan.

What went wrong.

Zhan... was a smart and highly intelligent person. He was not some who could be easily fooled or brainwashed then how come he was supporting something so wrong.

Just what was going on in his head?

He was as loyal as me to the crown, then just what changed for him to change so drastically. And what about his family are they also involved with the rebels?

I sighed as I turned around in my bed.

I had no idea what to do anymore.

I cannot tell anything to my family as well, since they would immediately report to the emperor and then the emperor would order the Viremont family to be executed.

And I might be the one to carry out his order. I also thought about what happened to me when I had thought about choosing Zhan over the crown, I had coughed up blood as soon as I took a step towards him, my entire body was filled with pain and I had felt like my heart was being ripped apart from my body.

Why did I have that reaction? It was like my body could not dare to choose anything else over the crown, It was like I was being punished for even thinking of not choosing the crown. Did I had an underlying disease?

And why did Zhan mentioned curse, was he into occult now? Another dangerous thing for which he could be punished since, witchcraft was banned in the capital. What was he getting into, why was he hellbent of going everything illegal. And why did he say that my family was cursed? He had truly lost his mind.

A knock on my door caught my attention, I slowly sat on my bed and once again I felt dizzy, there was slight pain in my chest that just won't go away.

Maybe I was really sick.

Adrian did not seem convinced, as he looked at up and down, but he did not argue instead he said, "commander, when are you coming back to work? We were all worried for you, so I came to check on you."

I was so out it these days that I did not care what was going around me.

"From tomorrow."

"Okay." Adrian said, as he looked at me once again. I knew he was worried, but did not say anything and left.

Once he was gone, I turned around wanting to go back to my bed but then decided against instead I went for a bath and after having a bath, I finally ate something before going back to bed.

When I woke up again it was night, I was still a little groggy but got up from the bed and drank some water. I stretched a little and stood near the window. There was still a little pain in my chest but it was ignorable.

However suddenly I felt something in my room shift and I felt a presence, I didn't had to turn to see who it was.

"Get lost." I said, and in return I heard a sigh.

"Darling..."

"Shut up Zhan!" I said as I turned around and glared at him. Turning to face him was a mistake because he looked so hurt and tired and I cannot see him like that, "Leave."

"No, I am not leaving, I want to know how are you..."

"Miserable." was all I said, "if you are here to ask me if I told anyone about you, then no I didn't, now leave."

"I came to check up on your health."

"Well, I am perfectly healthy and fine." I said as I looked at him. We just stared into each other's eyes, before I couldn't take it anymore and turned away.

"I love you Yibo." Zhan said.

"Don't lie!"

Suddenly Zhan hugged me from behind and said, "I am still your Zhan, can't you see that, just because I have different views and a different stance does not mean that I have changed.

I still love you, I am still your Zhan, still the man you met in the academy, you fell in love with... I am still me Yibo... I still love you..."

I turned around and pushed him away, "no, you are not my Zhan and you don't just have a different view you are a whole other person! You don't just have a different stance you just want to wage an entire war!" I felt slight throbbing pain in my chest once again.

I grabbed his collar and said, "I still love you... even after everything and it kills me because I don't want you to get hurt, or be harmed! But you made it clear that I am not that important to you, now stop your fake concern and leave!"

He grabbed my hands that were holding his collar and gently kissed them, "I am leaving. You told me to inform you every time I leave the capital. I am going to..."

"I don't want to know." The less I know the better, the more I am in dark the better, that way I won't be of any harm to him. I then looked at him and said, "if I ask you to stay will you stay?"

Zhan sighed and shook his head, I couldn't help but laugh and pushed him slightly, "get lost go do whatever you want. I suddenly feel like a fool for waiting for you...maybe I should go to the princess and-" before I could complete my sentence Zhan suddenly pushed me back and pinned me against the wall and kissed me.

I was shocked at the sudden kiss, and he took advantage of my shock and slid his tongue inside my mouth. I blinked before I started to struggle, I kept my hands at his shoulder and pushed him back however he just grabbed my hands and pinned them on the wall and kissed me harder.

I tried to push him back and was shocked at his strength. I was by no means weak, I had spared with Zhan before and I could say that he and I were equal in physical strength, but right now I am using all my strength and I can't even move him.

This was strange. Since when did Zhan became so strong or had I became weak. I tried to move my face to the side by Zhan wouldn't let me. He moved his thigh in between my legs and rubbed against me. Zhan kissed me with brutal force and aggression, dominating me completely. His tongue explored my mouth, saliva dripped from the corner of my mouth.

I found it hard to breath and slowly my legs started to gave out, in the end I stopped struggling and let Zhan kiss me.

After a long time, Zhan finally pulled back and I took deep breathes, my legs felt weak and I am sure my lips were bruised. Zhan let go of my hands and grabbed my face, he mad me look at him and said, "didn't I tell you not to bring a third person between us huh? Yibo, I love you, I know you are angry, so hit me, yell at me do whatever you want to me but you are not allowed to go a third person.

And stop doubting my love for you..." Zhan suddenly bent down and picked my up, I quickly wrapped my arms around him, "what are you doing?" I asked.

But instead of replying Zhan just walked to the bed and threw me on it, and before I could even blink he was over me, "let me show you how much I love you darling..."
