Spring Bloom in Little Pond

Brilliant swipes of

Multi-colored Belch

Bloom in concert with young

bull - frogs Spring sun song

Of first youth...

First flower fireworks.

Cat - tails shoot toward blue sky

And embrace the gentle Belch with their strength,

While lazy tides gurgle against the sandy marge

Twixt Queen Anne's Lace and pond's edge.

Chuff, newly hatched,

Cradled in the tall grasses,

Snick with fret.

Fearful their parents will not return with a morning meal.

Their freshened hunger is

A humph that attacks their strength... courage must be learned

With the brave ribbit of a wham.

In the center of the little pond

Rises a gloop-born boink That catches the warm

Hush with playful splat -

And gives respite to the gentle dragonfly.
