I Dreamed So Sirius

Spied Perclatian on my rounds

That bright, celestial star-dump

until I fell back to the material plane

'Shooclump!'

I remembered you loved that cluster

Definitions -

Shooclump – This is not a noisy shoe. It is a description of the noise your brain senses as your body is being transmitted during teleportation. It is a distant sounding 'shooooo....' Followed by a hard 'Clump' as the body comes back together.

Pwoo'awk – This is the word for that unpuckering attempt of any human eating the new, gluey syrup manufactured on Rylon Six, made from the Rylon Oak sap as a syrup substitute for off-worlders who are mining in the quadrant. The pancakes are not the best either...

Mushin – The sloshing noise in the mineral hot springs as one trudges through their own toxins that have been seeped out of the body by the special waters on Quasar Nine. It is an exhilarating and relaxing bath, but one cannot stay in too long. Martians who escaped their world's demise moved there and really enjoy the place. Thus, the phrase, 'Mushin like a Martian'.

Zepippery – For some reason, the colonies on certain planets have not been completely cleansed of their alien gasses and the mixture in the oxygen creates odd breathing effects. These are especially apparent at night when snoring. This word represents what that may sound like.

Scrosh – After being subjected to deep space for months on end, the brain can experience the space sickness known as fauxhyrdia. A feeling of being under water occurs including a pressure on the mind and an odd muffling of noise. In order to combat this, the affected ones may grit and rub their teeth together and it sounds to them like 'scrosh, scrosh, scrosh.'
