I land my pod onto this unknown planet, the only reason being the breathable air,

Need a new place to call our home; Earth has fallen into despair.

I got out of the pod, afraid as I breathe in, the smell was sweet,

I look around for small animals detected on the radar; did I just hear a tweet?

The colour of the foliage was bright,

Compared to Earth, it was quite a different sight.

I feel out of place, heart beating out of my chest, scared to my core,

But for now, what I have to do is explore.
