There was a list of things he regretted. Making that bet, breaking her heart but nothing hurt more than when she said she hated him. Time passed by, as he became too nervous to walk to her and say everything he had in his heart. She passed him, an elegant figure who didn't look broken, or upset. Oh no, she was just hiding it.
But he swore he heard his heart shatter, when she kissed 'him', his replacement, her rebound. Long were the days of 'them'. Now it was just him, him and his 'oh so' heavy, ripped-up heart.
