Chapter 7

HI EVERYONE! I AM 'STILL' ALIVE JUST SO YOU KNOW.

Luckily, I manage to have a break from my busy life. And here it is, I finally wrote another chapter of '10 is too much!'.

While you are reading this, there might have some wrong spellings and grammar, its because I have no time to check on it. As a writer I know it is my job to check it but what can I do? I'm just excited to update after how many months of not giving you one. And also, a lot of readers wanted this story to be updated and kept on asking me, so here it is.

As soon as summer break comes, I'll have to re-edit this book because I have read a message stating that this book is just all wrong! and things. I know it was my mistake on my own part for not editing it early and just  published it right away without rechecking. But no grudges intended, its just that you can just ask me in a nice way, comment in proper language and please no bashing.

THANK YOU,

EIKIJI🙇

Gideons POV

Before we could reach up to our designated floor, the electric power suddenly went down making everything around black out in total darkness. Worse, we're in an enclosed space, an elevator.

I pulled my phone out from my jeans pocket and turned it on but to only end up in dismay.

"Shit! There's no signal here."

I press the torch on my phone so that I could locate the elevators emergency button in times like this. Ugh, this is hell. I pressed the button and leaned my mouth close enough on the speaker.

"Hello? Hello?! We're trap here in the elevator, we need assistance like right now." I spoke, but nobody seems to reply.

"Ugghh, maybe we should just wait here until the power comes back Will." I called out but it seems like, I was just the only one inside this very elevator. Like Will had never been with me from the start.

"Will?"

I called out again, but no reply. I turned my phone on again, and panic immediately coursed through me like ligthning when I saw William slumped on the floor, pale looking and sweating.

He look like he was dead.

"William!? What's wrong!"

I tried shaking him awake but he just kept on slumping back down, his flesh was cold like ice and sweats kept pouring down from his body.

"Oh God!"

"Attention to all passengers in the elevator. We're experiencing a short power blackout. Please do not panic. The lights will be back after a few minutes. Thank you for understanding."

"Okay, don't worry Will, we'll be fine. Don't worry."

I kept chanting those words but my worries rose to a new level when Will started to pant like a crazy madman. He was still the same from before, added now with his constant panting, I don't know what to do anymore.

"Please calm down bro." Before I knew it, the power went back on and finally the elevators dinged after a few seconds and thank God it functioned properly. It rose up to our designated floor and the doors immediatley opened up.

"Sorry for the trouble si-"

"Fuck! Call some medics will you?!" I shouted at the two guys who seemed to be a security guard to get medical attention.

The one who spoke quickly reach out to his radio and call for a medical attention. They arrived as quickly as possible and immediately took care of Will.

They pull him up the stretcher and quickly ran to somewhere where medical attention is present. Pulling my phone out, I dialed dads number.

"Hello Gideon? Where a-"

"Dad! William fainted and we're on our way to the hospital. Meet me there." I explained and hanged up immediately.

My purpose was just to let them know what happened to William because I know if I don't tell them they would go ballistic on me. I jumped inside the ambulance where they had put William and immediately had him on oxygen.

"Is he okay?" I asked.

"I kow he will." Replied the nurse.

"Oh my William."

Williams mother or so I do I call stepmother cooed beside him. Ever since I told them what happened to him, all of them immediately rushed in. With Faith crying, the others interrogating me especially Hillary who's about to punch me, and Shaw who kept in touch with Will's condition. Thankfully dad saved me from all those commotion or I would have been dead by now.

The sound of a door opening made all of us turn our heads to Shaw's figure entering the room. He has a blank face on while scanning the clipboard he was holding before looking at us as he stood at the foot of the bed.

"Calm down everyone. There's nothing to be worried about. I think I know what might have happened to Will base on what I have heard from Gideon's statement." Shaw commenced.

"See? I'm innocent." I stated with a shrugged but Hillary beat me to it and punch my arm. Hard.

"Ouch." I winced.

"Serves you right for not taking care of my brother!"

"Ok. Umm... mom." Shaw addresses but you can hear the awkwardness as he calls the attention of our stepmom. She looked at Shaw and nodded.

"Does William had any history about being locked up in tight spaces?" Shaw asked. She zoned out for awhile, maybe recalling her memories of his son being in a situation which Shaw just asked.

"I think so. It was when he was five years old I think? when three of his cousins went on a vacation in our house. They were playing hide and seek and I don't know what the hell came up with William's head that he decided to hide on one of our basement cabinet. But I didn't blame him because he was just a child who knew nothing but just to play despite that, that cabinet locks itself on its own. The lock was broken and it took us for how many hours to find him. When we managed to rescue him, he was already sickly pale and dying. That was the most horrible memory that I couldn't erase in my head. I almost lost him that time." She cried and immediately dad came to comfort her.

"That solves it. William has a claustrophobia."

"Clastra- hah - Fuck that! what?" Diether stuttered.

"Its Claustrophobia my dear brother. It means that a certain person is scared from being enclosed too much in a small and dark spaces."

"Oh." Diether added.

"So, I already injected William some sleeping pills and have him rest for now. He'll be okay by tomorrow." Shaw stated with a smile which made everyone breath in relief.

After that, dad had us all return to the hotel and rest for the night while Hillary and our stepmom stayed in the hospital to look after our beloved brother.

This'll be a lonely night without him.

"Here I come!"

I run downstairs into our basement for all I know, they'll have a hard time in finding me. The basement was dark and only my small footsteps and the squeeking of the floor can be heard in the room. I roam around the room for awhile looking for a perfect hiding spot while holding my small flashlight.

"Be ready! I'm coming downstairs!"

My cousin Jess shouted, her voice startled me making me panic and at the same time drop my flashlight somewhere. And I decided to just slid my body on one of the cabinet that somehow fit my body and quickly closed it.

I heard Jess's footsteps squeeking at the floor while whispering that she's gonna find one of us here. But soon I heard her screamed and quickly ran back up to our room. I laughed to myself realizing that maybe it was some rats that was crawling on the ground that made her screamed in panic.

Without even realizing, I fell asleep in there and when I woke up and decided to leave the confinement, I couldn't open it. The lock was broken and if I kick it, it wouldn't budge since the place was too narrow hindering me to do a full force kick. I tried punching but the wood was just too hard for my small hands. I screamed and bang my hands on the wood but there was no response.

And thats when heavy panic strikes in and my breathing became laboured. Cold sweats started to raise down my body and my eyes kept on watering as my lungs gave out air and at the same time my hoarse voice screamed for help. It was dark and lonely. It scares me.
