Rain is known to be
closely tied with the words
growth but when it comes
near us, we find ways to shield
ourselves from it.

With our umbrellas open,
it bounces off the fabric and
onto the ground, missing
the very tops of our heads and
hands.

We wear tall boots to prevent our
feet from saying hello to the raindrops.
We hide in our homes till the sun
decides it has enough energy to shine
once more.

We come out when the universe
has stopped crying,
but have you ever thought that we
should go out to see why the tears
pour so harshly?
