Chapter 1
"Sebastian, Mr. Damiano is coming to discus the new line of products in about two hours. Is everything prepared?"
The butler stood in front of his master's wooden desk just like he had since the day Ciel Phantomhive made a contract with him. Today was just like any other day in manor. Ciel was doing paperwork, Finny was working in the garden, Bard was destroying the kitchen, and Mai-rin was dropping all of the china.
Sebastian nodded. "Of course, sir. Everything is going according to plan."
Before Ciel could rattle off the list of things that needed to be ready, there was a knock at the front door.
The master checked the time. "He's not scheduled to be here for another two hours. Who could that be?"
Sebastian bowed slightly. "I shall go check, sir."
The butler smoothly walked down the quiet halls and down the perfectly shined stairs before reaching the doors. When he opened them, he smiled, but saw no one. He frowned and looked around, but still saw nothing.
A small voice cleared it's throat. "E-Excuse me... Are you Ciel Phantomhive?"
Sebastian looked down to find a raven haired girl with wine-red eyes staring up at him. "I am not, but that is my master. Who might I ask is visiting?"
The girl smiled weakly. "My name is (F/n). I need to speak with Ciel."
Sebastian smiled and stepped to the side. "Please, come in. I shall show you to the living area."
The small girl nodded and stepped into the manor, her flowing as her tiny feet made their way across the manor floor. Sebastian couldn't help but glance at her every so often. 'It's just a coincidence. There's no way.' He thought as he opened the door. "Please wait in here. The young master will be here shortly."
As Sebastian closed the door, hoping she wouldn't wander out, he smiled and shook his head. "There's no way. I wouldn't have allowed that to happen. It would disgrace not only myself, but my young master as well."
*(F/n)'s POV*
I climbed up on the couch, my feet dangling over the edges. 'I hope he's here... I really wanna meet him... maybe we can do things together like human fathers and daughter's do!' I smiled to myself. There was a knock on the door before a kid walked into the room. He looked confused. "I am Ciel Phantomhive, the owner of this manor. Who are you?"
I stood up ungracefully and bowed. "M-My name is (F/n). I'm looking for a man called Sebastian Michaelis. I was told you could help me find him."
The butler and Ciel's eyes widened slightly. "What could you possibly want with him?" Ciel asked.
I swallowed, turning to the butler. 'That... That must be him!' I thought, stepping forward. I did my best to smile. "Hi... I'm (F/n)... Your daughter..."
Sebastian shook his head. "That's not possible. I would never have let that happen. How did you hear about me?"
"M-My mother told me all about you. She also wanted me to tell you that she's sorry..." I answered, trying to be strong and hold back the tears.
My father shook his head again. "I don't know who your mother is."
I turned my face towards the floor. "Do you remember Luna Williams?"
Sebastian's eyes widened once more. "Yes, but... She never showed any signs of pregnancy."
I turned my eyes up to his. "I... I'm half demon, half human. Pregnant demons never show."
The butler turned to Ciel. "Young master, I swear, I knew nothing of her, and I had no idea she was..." Sebastian couldn't even finish his sentence. He was practically in shock.
It was my turn to face Ciel. "H-He and my mother fell in love, but Sebastian was summoned to you. He had to leave my mother, so he never knew that she was pregnant. Just a few months ago, she.... was on her deathbed... and she told me about this wonderful man, who was my father...." A few tears escaped. "And then she passed on..."
Ciel looked at Sebastian, expecting some sort of emotional reaction, but Sebastian was a statue. Ciel sighed. "It can't be helped. You can stay here until we confirm that Sebastian is your father."
Happy that I was finally with my father, I wiped the tears from my eyes and hugged his leg. "Can we play some games-"
Sebastian pushed me away. "I have work to do. I cannot be bothered to watch a child." He spat.
I stepped back, putting my arms behind my back. "O-Of course... I-I'm sorry."
Ciel called all of the other staff and had them line up in the room. "Everyone, this is (F/n). She will be staying at the manor until we can figure out who she belongs to."
The maid blushed and grabbed my hands. "She's just so adorable, yes she is! I finally 'ave another female companion, yes I do!!"
Sebastian cleared his throat, causing the maid to fall back in line. "(F/n), this is Mai-rin, the gardener is Finny, the cook is Bardroy, and the steward is Tanaka. Everyone, please keep (F/n) out of trouble for the next few hours."
Suddenly there was another knock at the door. Ciel's eyes widened. "That's him! Sebastian, go let him in and bring him in here. You four take (F/n) to one of the guest rooms and give her something to do. Stay with her and stay out of trouble!" He hissed.
Mai-rin and Finny took my hands as Tanaka and Bardroy followed them to a guest room near the servants quarters. We all sat in a small circle as they thought of questions to help figure out who my parents were. "Do you remember what they look like?" Finny asked.
I nodded, trying to contain my laughter. "My daddy is tall, with raven black hair, and red eyes. He doesn't smile very often, and he's really strong."
Mai-rin blushed again. "Oh my! That sounds just like Sebastian, yes it does!!"
Bardroy put a hand on his chin. "But why would Sebastian act like he doesn't know her? And where is her mother?"
"M-My mommy is gone... I-I came here to find my daddy." I answered.
Finny almost panicked. "L-Let's play a game! How about hide-and-seek!"
Everyone agreed, and I volunteered to be the first to seek. I placed my arm over my eyes in the corner of the room and started counting. Once I hit one hundred, I walked out of the room and started to look around. I shivered a little. 'This mansion is so big... How will I find them?' I turned the corner and found an unlocked door. The room was dark, so I tried to feel along the wall for the switch. Instead, I tripped over something and when I landed on something, it moaned. I scrambled to my feet and backed away. The creature stood up. My eyes widened to find that it had a mask on, and some sort of weapon in it's hand.
I quickly turned down the hallway and started running, tears falling down my cheeks. I could hear voices coming from one of the rooms, so I threw open the door. Ciel and some other man stood up from their seats. "(F/n)!" Ciel called.
Sebastian looked at me, narrowed his eyes, and walked over, kneeling down to look me in the eyes. "What happened?"
I did my best to stop crying, but the occasional sob wracked my body. "W-We were playing h-hide and seek and I was l-looking for them when I f-found a man with a mask and something in h-his hand in one of the rooms!"
The man at the other end of the table looked at Ciel. "Who is this?"
Ciel swallowed. "This is-"
"My daughter." Sebastian said, picking me up. "I apologize for the interruption. Please continue with your dinner. I shall return shortly."
The butler carried me out of the room and into the hallway, where the other servants bombarded us. "Are you okay, (F/n)? We couldn't find you after you ran off! What happened?" Finny asked.
"There is an intruder in the manor. I need you all to stand guard outside of the dining room. Make sure that our guest suspects nothing." Sebastian ordered and started to walk away with me still in his arms.
"What about (F/n)?" Bardroy asked.
The butler smiled a little. "I'll take her with me. Don't worry. She won't be harmed."
And with that, my father took me down the hallway. Even though I was safe in the arms of my demon father, I couldn't help but get the feeling that we were being watched.
