TESSA'S MARRYING HERSELF!

FINN HAD FOUND OUT THAT HIS MOM AND BURT WERE ENGAGED AND NEEDED SOME ADVICE ABOUT WHAT TO FEEL. Slumping himself next to Tessa's locker, he let out a long breathe of air, catching her attention.

Turning to face him with a beaming smile, she gave him a thump on the back, "hey! Kurt's just texted me. Say congrats to your mom for me."

"How did he type that fast?" He marvelled through a frown, slumping down his shoulders once again, "thanks though, I guess."

Raising her eyebrow, Tessa gave him a worried frown, confused by his dismay, "what's up with you? Aren't you excited?"

"It's just, she's my mom. And thinking about her marrying someone else is super weird." Finn sighed.

"Even if that someone else is as awesome as Burt?" Tessa questioned, thoughtfully, trying to get him to look on the bright side, "you should be happy that your mom's found love again, she deserves it."

"I know. And I know that Burt's awesome, and Kurt's awesome." He added on quickly before he could be questioned, "but marriage?"

Giving him a pat on the shoulder, Tessa shook her head, "I think all the slushies have gone to your head, man. You're all weird."

"You're weirder." He retorted, a grin finally appearing on his face.

Glad to see him happy again, Tessa shut her locker and began to walk alongside him down the hall, "seems that everyone's proposing this week." She shrugged, casually, "Your mom and Burt, Sam and Quinn, Sue and herself."

"Sam and Quinn are getting married?" Finn cut her off, widening his eyes in shock and running his hands through his hair, "do I need to get them a gift?"

"No! He asked her to be his girlfriend, dummy, by giving her a promise ring." Tessa told him, masking her sad smile by laughing at his comments, "no gifts necessary — unless they're for me."

Pouting, Finn wrapped his arm around her shoulder, giving it a quick squeeze of reassurance as the thoughts of Sam and Quinn together swirled in her mind. Pausing for a second, he went back to words she'd said moments ago, "wait— did you say Sue and herself?" He asked, as Tessa nodded her head, clicking his finger as he came up with one of his bright ideas, "hey! That's what you should do!"

Rolling her eyes, she let out a sarcastic laugh, "ha ha, very funny, Hudson. Just wait until you have to write a speech for the wedding of Tessa Swann and Tessa Swann — ultimate couple."

"If it's anything like your duet by yourself then I can't wait, when's the wedding?" Finn teased, feeling all the more excited about his mom's wedding as long as he had his weird friend's wedding to herself to look forward too.

THE WEDDING HAD COME AT THE PERFECT TIME FOR KURT. Planning a wedding was exactly what he felt like he needed with all the tormenting he was having to deal with from Karofsky and the stress that came with it.

Calling his brother and his dad to the choir room, he stood at the front of the room with Tessa with his hands on his hips, "thank you for attending the Kurt Hummel and Tessa Swann dance seminar. Dad, you're gonna have to pull off the first dance with Carole and if Uncle Andy's fortieth birthday party is any indication, you're gonna need some work."

"What are you talking about? My moves are great!" Burt defended, as Tessa and Finn let out a laugh and he was pulled up from his seat, "it was the damn Sangria."

As Kurt began to get his dad into the correct position for dancing, Tessa bounced forward towards Finn, dramatically holding her hand out, "may i have this dance?"

"Yes you may." He laughed, taking a nervous breathe as one of his hands took hers and the other awkwardly hovered towards her hip. Giving him a nod of reassurance, she reached down to adjust his positioning before looking over her shoulder towards Kurt with a ready smile.

"Have you guys chosen a wedding song?" Kurt asked his dad, who gave him a slow nod in reply, "we were thinking stairway or some Bublé."

Nodding over to Kurt and then Brad the piano player, Tessa gave him an approving nod, "nice, so basically one-two-three-four."

As Brad began to play the piano, Kurt had gotten his dad started on the simple steps, beaming as his dad seemed to get more excited by each step he got right.

Seeing Finn was more nervous, Tessa gave his shoulder a quick squeeze as he watched his feet intensely, "hey, you're getting it!" She encouraged, "with a little more confidence you'll be the next Mike Chang." Patting him on the back, she indicated to Kurt for a swap only to be twirled straight back into his arms. Impressed, she gave him a thumbs up, "do that for Rachel on the night and she'll be so impressed she might let you touch her boobs."

"You think so?" Finn grinned, with widened eyes, quickly shaking off his excitement as she tried to walk away again, "can't I just keep dancing with you?"

Overhearing the conversation, Burt waved him off with a teasing smile, "I'm sure Tess'll still be your friend if you're a worse dancer than me, Finn."

"Of course i will!" She played along, giving him an encouraging thumbs up before beginning to dance with Burt, letting him twirl her around playfully until the sight of Dave Karofsky at the door caught his eye.

Taking a step away from dancing with Tessa, he was quick to confront Kurt, who's excitement at teaching his dad how to dance had quickly washed away, "what the hell was that?"

"It was nothing dad." Kurt replied, quickly and quietly, hoping to get straight back to the dancing without another word but Burt knew his son better than that, "that was not nothing. That guy was making fun of you, what the hell is his name?"

"Tell him, Kurt." Finn spoke up quietly, looking to Tessa to back him up. Giving Kurt a reassuring smile, she calmly repeated his words, "tell him, Kurt."

This encouragement seemed to be enough for Kurt to give in with a deep sigh, "his name's Dave Karofsky. He's been harassing me for a few weeks now."

"Harassing you how?" Burt asked in a dangerous tone, clenching his jaw.

"Just shoving me, and giving me a hard time."

Noticing Kurt struggling to keep his eye contact with anyone in the room, Burt spoke again, "there's more, there's something else you're not telling me."

After a deep breathe, Kurt knew he couldn't hide this from anyone any longer and finally met their eyes, "he threatened to kill me."

Taking a step forward, Tessa clenched her fists as she met Finn's gaze, both of them shocked by what they'd just heard. The only person more angry than Tessa was Burt, who'd immediately been overcome with his anger and tore out the choir room to chase after the boy who'd threatened his son.

As Finn and Kurt frantically tried to pull Burt off of Karofsky, Tessa wasted no time in giving Tina an apologetic look as she snatched the slushy out of her hands. Marching forward, she made sure the group were out of her way before she dumped the purple slushy right onto his head, "that is the least you deserve." She growled.

Full of anger and humiliation, Karofsky gave Tessa a hard shove, sending her backwards where Finn held her before she could go to shove him back.

Turning to Finn as Karofsky wiped his hand across his face and stormed off down the hall, Burt sent him a look filled with disappointment, "what the hell have you been doing whilst this has all been going on?" He questioned, giving Tessa a quick pat on the back before walking off and leaving Finn full of guilt and questioning his actions.

THE DAY OF BURT AND CAROLE'S WEDDING HAD ARRIVED AND EVERYONE WAS GETTING READY. Sitting in the dressing room on her own, Tessa was relieved for some company as there came a knock at the door and Sam peeped his head through.

Turning round to see his eyes closed as he looked round, Tessa rolled her eyes at him, "you can come in you dork, it's only me."

Taking a sigh of relief, Sam opened his eyes, a larger smile coming to his lips as his eyes landed on Tessa and her dress. Becoming awkward, he rubbed the back of his neck, slowly going red, "you look nice." He complimented, cringing slightly and clearing his throat before trying again, "not just nice, like double nice kinda thing."

"You look double nice kinda thing too." She giggled, looking down at the floor for a moment, "thank god for Santana and her insane ability to dress me up, am I right?"

Smiling back at her, he held out his tie with a guilty expression, "you mind helping me out? I'm not the best at tying ties."

"Of course." She smiled as he pulled a chair over and sat in front of her. Wrapping the tie around his neck, Tessa found herself too focused on tying his tie correctly to notice Sam smiling softly down at her, trying to ignore the sudden fluttery feeling he got as she finally looked up to meet his eyes.

"Thanks. If Quinn asks can you tell her I did it? I don't think she'd be very impressed if she found out I can't even tie a tie." He chuckled guiltily, going slightly red.

Fixing his hair slightly, she nodded back at him, "definitely. If that super hot black eye of yours wasn't enough for her to accept that ring then I'll have to do all I can to help."

"You're the best." Sam breathed out, "seriously. And after you slushing Karofsky like that, I wouldn't be surprised if Quinn left me for you."

"Please, if I had you and that black eye as my boyfriend, I'd never let you go." Tessa teased, dramatically fanning herself, "you're cool. A total keeper."

Beaming back at her as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ears out of embarrassment, Sam slapped his hands down into his lap and stood up to leave, "save me a dance out there, will you? I've been practicing."

Nodding back at him, they sent each other a thumbs up before Sam swiftly bounced out of the room and Tessa turned back to the mirror, letting herself smile for a minute before nervously playing with a strand of her hair and waiting for Santana to come back in and scold her for touching it.

THE CEREMONY WAS BEAUTIFUL AND WITH BURT AND CAROLE FINALLY MARRIED, and Finn finally stepping up as a proud brother to Kurt, the party could commence.

After dancing with Tessa for the majority of the party, Santana gave Mike a quick wide eyes signal and pulled him away from the girl as she caught Sam hovering behind her in the hopes of asking her to dance. Taking matters into her own hands, she gripped onto Tessa's shoulders and turned her directly around so she was faced with Sam, patting her on the back before skipping off to dance with Mike herself.

"I take it Quinn hasn't asked if you tied your tie yourself yet?" Tessa giggled, taking Sam's hand as he offered it to her and dancing to the music.

Rolling his eyes playfully, he shook his head in reply, "it hasn't come into conversation yet."

Noticing his slightly sad smile, Tessa gave him a comforting pat on the chest and tried to hide her own, "it'll work out, okay? She'll accept the ring, I'm sure of it."

Nodding his head gratefully, Sam took her by the shoulders and moved her in an exaggerated dance, a large grin coming to both of their lips, "let's not talk about that now. Let's just have fun." He suggested, twirling her around.

"Great idea." Tessa agreed, cautiously wrapping her arms around his neck as his hands found their way towards her waist, "not every day that you get to go to a wedding."

Looking down to meet her eyes, a smirk appeared on his lips, "well, a little birdie told me you're gonna take inspiration from Coach Sue and marry yourself. I better be invited."

Laughing out loud, Tessa immediately shook her head and held her hand to her forehead, "only if you dance as cool as you have been doing today."

Breaking apart from her, he spun himself around and began to do some exaggerated disco moves on the dance floor in front of her, "can't promise anything."

"Good." Tessa laughed, copying his moves through her laughter until Sam spun her back into his arms and swayed her side to side.

Laying her head onto his chest, Tessa let out one last laugh before sighing contentedly and just listening to the music as they danced along to it. Smiling at this small action, Sam leant his chin onto the top of her head, also just enjoying the music and the chance to dance with her.
