The two boys waited for Jin's answer. He didn't respond immediately. He licked his lips and looked around, not knowing what to say. They were huddled together near the foot of the grand staircase. Jungkook leaned on the hand of the staircase, trying to look calm. Their friends were out on the lawn, fighting trolls while they found the Phenomenal.

Suddenly, there was a commotion from the opposite end of the hall. People were shrieking and running around. Taehyung craned his neck to see what caused an uproar. He stood on a step when he couldn't see anything. He looked over people's heads as they rushed to the door. He saw it. It was a troll, and it was headed straight for them.

"Run," he said, grabbing Jin's arm and pulling him up the stairs. Jungkook looked over his shoulder and saw the troll and followed them. Taehyung, along with Jungkook and Jin, ran for his life.

He couldn't hear the troll behind him, but it was following them. It ran quietly compared to its big size.

The three boys ran into the hall. They pushed past the people who were coming out of the hall upstairs. The people were curious about the commotion happening downstairs in the hall. They saw the troll and screamed. They ran towards the door right past the troll, who ignored them and moved up the stairs.

The mass of people coming out pushed Taehyung, Jungkook, and Jin out of the hall. They staggered backwards. The troll was walking up the stairs, closing the distance between them.

They ran towards the closed bedrooms. The corridor wasn't lit. They were completely swallowed by darkness as soon as they entered it.

The hair on Taehyung's arm stood up, causing goosebumps. Now they could neither see the monster nor hear it. He tried to quieten his footsteps. After a while they stopped, trying to catch their breath.

"What is that?" Jin asked, horrified.

"A troll." whispered Jungkook, wiping the sweat off his face.

"Why is it attacking?"

"It's probably after you." Taehyung said.

"Great." Jin said sarcastically. "What should I do?"

"Not die, preferably. Where is the troll?" Jungkook said.

Taehyung tried to look down the hallway they previously ran. He saw a flash of white. He tensed up. It had to be the monster's teeth.

"Guys." he whispered, pointing at the flash of white he recently saw. Jungkook and Jin squinted their eyes, trying to see what Taehyung was trying to show them.

The boys ran down the hallway again. Taehyung didn't look back. He just followed Jungkook. The hallway was straight, with no turns. It was easy for the troll to follow the same path without losing them.

Suddenly, he felt a hand grab his wrist. The touch was icy, and Taehyung immediately felt disgusted.

The troll pulled Taehyung towards itself. He heard the troll crash through the window and plummet to the ground. He could feel the wind whistling in his ears. Soon he would hit the ground.

He didn't want to die so early. There was a lot he wanted to do. He tried to fight the troll's grip. Taehyung had made up his mind, if he was going to die, he would at least kill the troll first.

He couldn't see anything in the rush of air around him, but he could feel the troll's presence around him. Trusting his instincts, he turned from his waist and punched the troll in its stomach, where the hide was less. The troll let go of his hand in pain. He then kicked the troll. The distance between them increased as the troll was kicked away from Taehyung.

Taehyung heard a faint thud on the ground. The troll had finally fallen, face first. He closed his eyes waiting for the same fate awaiting him. He hoped it wouldn't hurt.

"Humans are so dramatic." Taehyung heard an exasperated voice in his head. He had heard it before, but it was a faint memory. Slipping past the clutches of his mind, almost slipping into oblivion.

"Are you the voice of the gem? Did I finally activate my powers?" He asked feebly. He was happy that he had activated his powers, but he couldn't feel the joy.

"Yeah. And don't worry, you're not going to die. I'm Aura."

Aura's words made him realise he had been floating midair for a long time now. He was a foot above the ground, floating like he was lying on top of water. He could see lightning and bright light from the corner of his eyes.

Slowly, he got up and tried flying. It was simple. He willed his body to be lifted through the air and he was flying. Happily, he waved up at Jungkook and Jin, who were looking down the broken window.

Jungkook let out a huge sigh when he saw Taehyung. Jin looked at him with his mouth open, trying to process what was happening in front of him.

"Pretty cool." He commented. "Come on, we still have to help in the fight happening down." He spread his arms.

"You will take us down with you?" Jin questioned hesitantly.

"Come on. We have no other option." Jungkook said. "But Taehyung be careful."

Taehyung nodded and flew in from the broken window, helping Jin and Jungkook take a one-way trip.

Namjoon ducked as the troll swung at his head. Tripping over his own feet, he fell on his face. He got up, spitting out the grass.

"Namjoon, you okay?" Jimin said and killed the troll using his powers. His powers blinded Namjoon for a minute before he started seeing spots in his vision. Jimin helped him up.

"Thanks." Namjoon mumbled.

Hoseok had told them the troll's weakness was its face. He was right. The trolls died easily when hit in the face. Namjoon summoned water from the plumbing below the mansion and ran to fight a troll.

Yoongi and Zia were fighting a troll together. Yoongi killed it by blasting lightning in its face. Jimin was trying to get the monster's attention but ended up killing them as soon as they looked at him. Hoseok stared at the three silhouettes in the air coming towards them, his mouth hanging open.

Namjoon recognised two out of the three silhouettes. They belong to Jungkook and Taehyung. The third silhouette was unrecognizable. It must be the last Phenomenal.

Namjoon felt his heart swell with joy when he saw the last Phenomenal, but his bubble burst quickly. A troll had grabbed the last Phenomenal by their feet and lifted them above the ground.

Namjoon sighed and ran to help. When he got closer he recognised who the man was. It was Kim Seokjin. He was known for his acting skills and good looks.

Seokjin was handling being lifted in the air by his ankle as normally as he could. He swung his arms around cursing at the monster to put him down. Namjoon heard a snap, it was Seokjin's ankle. The troll got annoyed by Seokjin's grumbling and snapped his ankle and let go of it. He crumbled on the ground, clutching his ankle.

The troll was about to step on the Seokjin but strong wind pushed it behind. Taehyung stepped in front of him and attacked the troll again. 

When did he activate his powers?

Another troll came behind Taehyung. Namjoon quickly took his back. The troll moved forward at an alarming pace and flipped Namjoon over it's back. He winced when he came in contact with the hard ground.

The troll made a fist and collided it with Namjoon's face, but he rolled out of the way and sat up straight. He summoned more water, he could feel it run in the grass, slowly drenching it.

The troll snarled, flashing its pearly white teeth. They were almost as bright as Jimin's light powers.

Namjoon closed his eyes and raised his hand in front of him, but the troll never attacked him. He peeked between his eyelids and saw a troll shaped stone statue.

He looked around the statue, and his eyes met with Seokjin. His eyes were clouded with confusion and pain. Seokjin had also activated his powers. Namjoon had a lot of questions for Jungkook, Taehyung and Seokjin.

"Thanks." Namjoon mumbled and helped Seokjin up. The other boy winced when he applied pressure on his injured foot.

Namjoon called Jimin to help Seokjin. Jimin ran towards them and quickly healed Seokjin.

"Thank you." Seokjin said, walking around with his newly healed ankle.

Everyone gathered around them. Yoongi, Zia and Taehyung out of breath. Hoseok walked up to them and awkwardly stood next to Namjoon. They had finally defeated the trolls. It felt good. They also found the last Phenomenal, Namjoon felt light. A weight had lifted off his shoulders. He could relax for a few days.

"Hobi?" Seokjin said, noticing the pink-haired boy. Hoseok was suddenly interested in his shoes and didn't reply. "Hoseok!" He said, more sternly this time.

Hoseok's eyes flickered over to Seokjin's but he quickly averted his gaze. "Hey." He mumbled, desperately trying to get out of the conversation. He looked at Zia but she only gave him a frowned look.

"What are you doing here?" Jin asked.

"Same as you." His voice was barely audible. Namjoon felt sorry for him. "Do you remember me?"

"I do now." Jin said after a pause. Hoseok finally looked at his friend.

"That's good to hear."

"You two knew each other before?" Yoongi asked slowly. He understood it was a sensitive topic.

"Yeah," Hoseok nodded. "But I assumed he would have forgotten about me."

"I did." Jin admitted with a sigh. "But I remember now."

"How?" Hoseok asked.

"Hoseok," Zia started gently. "He's a Phenomenal. Maybe that's why he remembers you."

"Do you remember forgetting Hoseok?" Jungkook asked.

Jin thought hard. "I remember forgetting." He thought out loud. "I remember the first time I met him. He's my friend, but there is this void in my memories. As if someone took a piece out."

"Hoseok, I think he remembers you cause he has activated his powers. Jin said there is a missing piece in his memories, that must be there because he couldn't remember you since you activated your powers. Now since Jin activated his powers, he must have gotten his memories back." Namjoon theorised. This was the only explanation that made sense to him.

The two boys looked at each other and nodded, understanding Namjoon's words. There was a moment of silence while Hoseok and Jin stole glances of each other.

It was exceptionally quiet, the one before a storm. It made him shudder. Namjoon could hear the low whistle of the wind chiming in the cold night.

Then he heard distant sirens. His heart almost skipped a beat. It was the police. Someone must have informed them about the strange activities going around at the party and they had come to investigate. He looked around. The police cars were approaching closer. They had to leave.

I know today is a Tuesday and I usually update on Wedensday, but it's my birthday, so I thought, I would update today also. Don't worry I'll update tomorrow.
