Grey eyes and white hair. Night stared at her reflection in the mirror. She found it to be unusual. She hadn't dyed her hair; it used to confuse her a lot until she learnt that her mother also had naturally white hair. She sighed and moved away from the mirror. You shouldn't waste your time on this. She scolded herself.

Night worked full time in The Relaxed Hut. It was the most famous café in Busan. She lived alone, so her earnings were enough for her. Unlike most people her age, she didn't go to college. After she graduated from highschool, she started working full time at the café. She didn't want college authorities snooping around, trying to get information about her family.

"Will you wait on table 5 for me?" Ashley asked, interrupting her thoughts.

"Sure." Night replied sincerely, taking a notepad to note down their order. She didn't really mind. It would at least distract her from her thoughts.

"May I please take your order?" She asked an older woman politely.

"A chocolate smoothie and a chicken sandwich." The woman looked up from the menu card and ordered.

While walking back towards the kitchen, she hit her hip on the counter. "It's hilarious, isn't it?" Rubbing her side, she hissed at Ashley, who was snickering.

" You hit yourself at least once a day. It is hilarious," Ashley replied. Night just rolled her eyes and walked towards the kitchen. She was really clumsy and a server. Not an excellent combination.

"HI!" Someone said excitedly near her ear, causing Night to jump. "I'm Sarah! Nice to meet you Night! I'm going to be the new waitress here."

"Uh, nice to meet you too, I guess..." she replied awkwardly. She wasn't a social person. Sarah seemed to be the complete opposite of her, with a bubbly personality.

"So, Ashley told me you are also 16, so I was thinking maybe we could hang out someday-?"

"So, Night! I see you have met Sarah." Ashley said, interrupting nervously, noticing the glare Night was giving her.

"Yeah, we met." She said, stressing the last word.

"So....... I have to get back to work now. Enjoy!" Ashley patted Night's shoulder. Night understood. Ashley was trying to help her. She wanted Night to be a normal teenager, hang out with friends, go on dates with guys and be happy, but she couldn't. Not after what she had done.

"So...um, your nineteen too?" Night asked Sarah after an uncomfortable silence, which grew after Ashley left.

"Yeah. BTW, I love your hair. It suits you."

"Thanks!"

"So, do you want to hang out? I mean, not today, later someday, you know." She added quickly.

Night smiled."Sure."

There was black smoke all around her house when she got back. The firefighters told her everyone had died in the fire. She was lucky she wasn't there. These words hit Zia like bullets. Josh was in the house...he is dead now. Hot tears fell from her eyes. She had known him all her life; he was closer than family. She sat down on the roadside, not caring about the world. She couldn't understand what was worse, dying or surviving.

Anger and hatred started coursing through her veins. How dare he leave her alone! Her eyes shifted to a water hose, which was being used to douse the fire, concentrating on it. Before she could blink, the hose exploded, causing people to scream and run for cover.

The firefighters looked confused about the accident. A horrible thought hit Zia. Was it her fault? She shook her head. It couldn't be possible she could not have done it.

"This hose shouldn't break, much less explode." She heard a firefighter say, but he didn't open his mouth to speak, yet she heard him. What was going on?

"OH! Come on, it isn't exactly like making a spaceship, use your head, Zia." She heard a voice.

"Uh, who exactly am I talking to?" She said out loud, which caused people to give her weird glances.

"I'm in your head." The voice replied. Zia noticed she had never heard the voice before, yet it sounded similar. " It took you so long to unlock your powers. I was thinking I was going to be imprisoned forever. And you don't have to speak out loud to talk to me, you can just think, it's not like I'm going anywhere."

"Um..." she started. There were a million questions she wanted to ask. "Okay, so first, why are you in my head? How did you get in there? How come I did not know about you being in my head? What do you mean by unlocking my powers? How do I have powers and how do you-?" She would have gone on ranting her questions if the voice hadn't stopped her.

"If you want your questions answered, then you need to calm down." Then, after a moment of silence, " So you don't belong to Earth-"

"What do you mean?" Zia interrupted. She doesn't belong to Earth. She was pretty sure she lived on the very planet her whole life.

"Do not interrupt me." The voice chided, causing Zia to fall silent. "So, as I was saying, you aren't from Earth. You come from a planet called Eroth. Your parents sent you here to keep you safe. How did I get here? You have the power of mind Zia, you can control things according to your will and be able to read people's minds like books. I'm here because you unlocked that very power. The bracelet on your wrist, I'm the gem on it. You have powers because your parents did, too."

Zia's mind was spinning after hearing the mysterious voice speak. "So, um, is there, um, is there a way for me to get rid of you?" She asked without thinking. This caused her to feel a jolt of pain in her head. Clutching her head, she asked, "Why is my head paining? Are you doing this? Stop it!"

The pain stopped, but the voice did not respond. "Um, the voice, are you there?" She asked about uncertainty.

"Call me Psyche." The voice, Psyche, replied. "And you can't get rid of me."

"Why not?"

"Cause I'm bound to you."

"Why?"

"You need to learn to control your powers. I have to help you."

"So If I remove my bracelet, I can't hear you?"

"You can't, but I wouldn't advise you to do so."

"Because?" Zia asked, hoping Psyche would continue.

"Because what?" Psyche questioned instead.

"Why wouldn't you advise me to remove my bracelet?"

"You may not be from Earth but you still are a human. Your powers get triggered when you're angry, or hurt."

"You said I'm not from Earth. Then how am I a human?"

"I don't know, but you display qualities of a human."

This slowly made sense to her. "I can read people's minds." She concentrated on a random stranger and surprised her when she could read their thoughts. "Now I can read anyone's mind?"

"Pretty much, except your own clan?"

"My clan?"

"Well, of course, people like you."

"Okay, so who's your crush?" Sarah asked, smirking.

"I don't have one." Night shrugged.

"Oh, come on! I won't tell anyone." She insisted.

"I'm not lying, Sarah, I don't have a crush." Night said walking towards the counter as the afternoon rush started. Sarah follows her.

"Fine!" Sarah said, giving up.

"Thank you. Now help me, schools are over, there is going to be a rush." Night instructed.

The cafe was full in no time, leaving Sarah no time to question Night. After 20 minutes of continuous orders, Night heard a familiar voice among them. "Hey Night, my usual please."

"Hey Jungkook. Give me a minute."
