Dark clouds burst open, moving away for rain to collapse over the thirsty ground. Jimin was caught in this unexpected shower of rain, without an umbrella. The chilly breeze flew around him as he hugged himself for warmth.
He looked up. The rain would not subside easily, it was going to be raining for hours. He needed to get back to his dorm and study. His tests won't stop because of rain.
Standing in the rain, the water soaked through his clothes, touching his skin. Cold shivers ran down his spine, making his teeth clatter. Jimin rubbed his palms together, generating heat, and placing his hands on his cheeks.
Jimin ran for cover. He couldn't get sick, his exams were around the corner. He ran until he entered the Relaxed Hut, his favorite cafe.
He walked into the comforting atmosphere. They had switched the heaters on. His teeth stopped chattering. He moved forward, soaking in the warmth.
"One cappuccino." He ordered.
"It will take about five minutes, please have a seat. I will call you when your order is ready." A server told him.
"Sure, thank you." said Jimin, politely. He walked back and sat at a table.
The cappuccino was warm and comforting. Jimin ran his hand through his wet hair. He had to dry his hair before he caught a cold.
He paid for the drink and happily skipped out of the cafe. The coffee had lifted his mood. It had also stopped raining. The sun peeking in between the clouds.
Suddenly, something grabbed his hand and pulled him behind the cafe. He tumbled and fell because of the force. The grip on his hand was strong enough to crush his bones.
"Ow! Let go of me!"
Jimin looked up to see a hideous creature. It was as pale as a corpse, swollen to the size of an ox. It was resting all the weight on its body on one leg. Jimin guessed he had a lame foot and had difficulty walking. The creature roared, blowing fire. Jimin dropped his head to the ground. The flames, clacking over his head before disappearing.
The monster had let go of him, and he tried crawling away from the creature. He succeeded. Jimin saw heaps of boxes lying around. Old chairs and scraps of metal. He was behind the Relaxed Hut.
The monster said something in a language unknown to Jimin. Its eyesight was weak. He could escape if he kept quiet.
The monster realised Jimin was missing and swung its hand, catching a few chairs and crushing them before him.
Jimin took a deep breath. The monster was strong. He couldn't kill the monster himself, but he could injure the monster enough to buy time for him to escape.
But what are the chances it won't follow me.
Jimin got up from his crouched position and walked backwards. He stepped on an empty chips packet, regretting it instantly.
Hearing the crunching noise, the creature looked at Jimin. Its pale eyes boring into his grey ones. For a moment, no one moved. Out of nowhere, the monster stretched out its lanky hand and wrapped it around Jimin's hips, lifting him from the ground.
Jimin kicked the monster's fingers. But he couldn't hurt it , and the monster griped tighter on him, causing him to buck in pain. He screamed.
He could see stars in front of him. The pain was unbearable. His vision blacking as he tried to block the pain out.
"Please," He sobbed. "Stop, it's hurting tremendously." The monster grunted and continued applying pressure.
Jimin screamed again. He was going to black out. He heard a snap coming from his body. His hips had given away and broke. He sobbed harder.
He was useless. Even if he recovered from this injury, he couldn't dance. The monster destroyed his dreams of being a contemporary dancer. The creature let go of him; he fell lifeless.
"Hello, you can't give up!" Something said in his head.
"It's too late buddy, it's already gone." he slurred. He was going to die. Jimin was sure of it.
"It isn't. Have hope."
"What's the use? I can't survive a fall from this height. And if I do, my injuries would be too severe."
"I'm not going to let that happen."
Jimin didn't know who the voice belonged to, but it was comforting. He neared the ground and braced himself to land on the concrete road. It was going to hurt.
Instead, he fell on the heap of boxes. They weren't near him. They were stashed in the corner. Someone had moved them under him.
"Jimin, heal yourself. She can't kill the monster without her powers."

Night heard a roar. It had to be a monster. She ran back to the cafe when she heard another scream. It wasn't the monsters. It belonged to a human. They were behind the cafe.
She could identify the monster almost as soon as she saw it. It was a Draugar, the undead monsters of Norse Mythology.
He was holding someone, crushing their hips. Night knew the Draugar was going to drop him from a height.
She stopped boxes lying in a corner. She knew they weren't the best option, but they would soften his fall. She had to call Zia and Jungkook, but there was no time.
As soon as the guy falls she had to attract the Draugar attention, giving the guy sometime to do something. Night knew she couldn't defeat the monster without her powers. Maybe she could hold it long enough for Psyche or Clout to inform Zia and Jungkook. She was expecting too much, but she couldn't help herself. She had grown close to the two of them and felt their presence calming.
Night ran to the heap of boxes and grabbed as many as she could before dumping them below the guy. She continued this until all the boxes were moved from their original position.
The Draugar wasn't paying any attention to her antics. He snapped the black-haired guy's hips before opening his fists. Night winced, knowing the guy was in pain, but she knew nothing about healing.
He fell on top of the boxes and went limp. Night didn't have time to check if he was alive. She withdrew her sword.
"Hey ugly!" She yelled, waving at the monster. The monster looked down at her and said something in an unfamiliar language.
The Draugar bent down to see her properly. Night stabbed one of its eyes, making it screech.
Night made a mental note to bring a pair of noise cancelling headphones the next time she fought a Draugar.
The Draugar tried to crush Night in its fist, but she already ran from the place she was standing. She turned around and cut its hand. Her sword went right through the monster's sink.
The Draugar had grabbed a piece of metal from its other hand and thrust it in her thigh. She let out a low groan. The metal burning against her skin. She couldn't move without making a sound. The Draugar looked at her again, this time she was sure he was going to kill her.
Then pearly white mist surrounded her, giving her warmth, making a dome around her. Gently lifting her off the ground. She floated through the air and was let down with the same gentleness. When the mist cleared. The guy was crouching in front of her. The wind playing with his black hair.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked. His voice soothing.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but your hips snapped, how are you okay?"
"Healing comes free with my power." He smiled. "Let me heal you too."
"No," said Night. "Kill the monster first."
"Are you sure?" He asked. She nodded. "Okay, stay still, Vanilla. I'll be right back."
"It's Night!"
"Sure." He winked and ran off to kill the Draugar.
The monster refocused his attention back to the guy. He walked up to him confidently, white mist dancing in his wake. The mist reminded her of her powers. She couldn't heal with her powers, but they were almost the same as him.
He was moving his hands around, directing the mist. The Draugar couldn't move its body, white mist was disabling any movement.
"Yah Vanilla! How do you kill it?"
"Slice it's head off, I don't know."
"You know it's name, why don't you know how to kill it."
"Just slice its head off." Night shouted back.
The guy moved his hand, and the mist brightened, blinding the Draugar before, another wave of the white mist gripped it's neck and tore it off.
The Draugar's body caught fire. It startled the guy and looked at her questioningly.
"Whenever you kill a monster, it disintegrates into ashes." she informed.
"This is going to hurt a bit." He said before summoning his mist again. It tickled her skin as the mist wrapped around the metal removing from her thigh. After removing the debris, he placed his hand on her wound and healed it.
"Thank you." Night said. "What's your name?"
"Your welcome. It's Jimin."
"Nice to meet you, Jimin." She said sincerely.
"Do you know what happened?"
"Yes."
"What?"
Night took a deep breath before she started explaining everything to Jimin.
