"WINWIN YOU MOTHERFUCKER,
I CAN'T SWIM."
The tall boy giggled as Miri tugged on his arm, attempting to keep afloat despite the obvious defeat—she's currently swallowing a gallon a minute, her lips lapping on the raging wave pool.
"You'll be fine, Miri-ssi," he said flatly, but the smile on his face was evident. He kept walking against the strength of the tide, each stride filled with endurance, while Miri was crying her heart out underwater, in defeat yet still struggling immensely.
Muffled struggle sounds resonated, but Winwin did not stop, except until a harsh slap hit the boy's ass, a pained yelp exiting his lips.
"Ow!" Winwin whimpered, while Miri managed to climb up the waters, screaming, "LET'S GET TO DRY LAND, WILL YOU?!"
Winwin was stunned, Miri wrapping her legs around his torso and her arms behind his back, "I'll cut off your balls and boil them and make you eat it for breakfast," she muttered darkly with a big scowl on her face. "Now go."
Winwin giggled softly, but the girl who was essentially a koala was clearly unamused. "There's nothing funny, Winwin-ssi."
Winwin smiled heartily, slowly booping their noses together. "You're just so cute, Miri-ssi," he whispered afterwards, thumb brushing against her cheekbones. "I love you."
"You're just tryna get me to swim with you, aren't you?"
Winwin had a devious grin on, pecking the girl's lips. "Maybe."

"Come on, Hyuckie~" Mark whined, stopping in his tracks to turn and face the younger. He eyed the boy's hands, which were awkwardly playing with one another, and reached in to hold it tenderly in his.
"Just once..." Mark trailed of silently.
Donghyuck looked up at the older smugly and heaved a sigh, "It's scary, Mark."
But the older can only giggle, raising his hand to brush the boy's cheek, "But I know my Hyuckie is a brave boy."
Donghyuck shook his head vehemently. "No. Hyuckie is not a brave boy."
At these words Mark pouted, and the older stepped a little closer, bringing his hands up to cup the boy's cheeks, palms engulfed in the tenderness of Donghyuck's golden skin.
"But Markie is here. Isn't Hyuckie brave when Markie is by his side?"
He lets his forehead fall on the latter's, exchanging silent breaths. And they stay there, silent, toes touching each other, and soon enough, the younger spoke.
"Alright, alright," he whispers, almost breathlessly, letting his eyelids fall when he sees Mark smile fondly, and slowly leaning in, pressing a tender kiss on the latter's forehead.
Donghyuck flutters his eyes open and he sees Mark smiling so brightly, and magically, the corners of his lips perk up, and he's smiling widely, too.
Mark takes a step back and his hand brushes on the younger's, until he takes it in his completely, engulfing Donghyuck in the warmth he's so desperately needy for.
"Shall we go?"
Donghyuck replies with a big smile, and tiptoeing, he lands a peck on the older's pinkish cheeks, ears burning red.
The two fail to contain their contagious giggles as they start walking along the fern-lined paths.
"Hyuckie?"
Donghyuck looks at the brunette anticipatingly, humming a faint hm in response. The crunchy jingle of the dried leaves ring around their feet as each stride hits the path.
"Are you," Mark spoke carefully. He pauses, uncertainly, eyes trailing off into the distance.
"Are you happy?"
The older's head turns to the younger, and his smile is unmatched with his— genuine, heartfelt, and brighter than the sun. Because he is the sun. His sunshine.
"Of course," Donghyuck spoke softly, as if disclosing a secret so scandalous. "So happy."
Mark smiled to himself, kicking the burnt auburn leaves, looking down on its crisp edges. "I'm happy to know that."
Donghyuck's smiling so brightly his jaw aches, but he doesn't hesitate to quiz Mark as well.
"How about you?"
Donghyuck eyes the older in anticipation.
"Yes," Mark softly replies. "I really am happy."
"How so?" Donghyuck is inquisitive, eyes glimmering in curiosity, and Mark can't help but laugh dumbly at the insanely cute boy.
"I'm happy..." Mark starts, and now he's looking at Donghyuck intently. "Because I'm with you."
He turns himself at Donghyuck, stopping in his tracks, and now has his hands on his shoulders. "Because I have such a kind, beautiful, adorable, perfect lover right in front of me right now, and his name is Lee Donghyuck."
The younger is smiling ear-to-ear and so is Mark, and it's as if everything is falling in its place, and everything's good.
"Everything's good," Donghyuck whispers softly to himself, which isn't left unnoticed by Mark—which makes him even happier—as the younger wraps his hands on Mark's neck.
The older's arms snake down Donghyuck's tiny waste, and Oh, does he feel like falling in love all over again, because Donghyuck's leaning in, painfully slowly, until the stars have aligned and their lips are interlocked with each other, sparks of bliss bursting around them, symbolizing their explosive love for one another.
Not a peck, nor a make-out session. Just, a kiss— with the right amount of chastity and that sweet, overflowing love, the very root of their thrilling romance, a saga they're willing to ride, a battle they're eager to fight.
Donghyuck's lips grow swollen and Mark's looks like a victim of bee stings, but they don't stop—none of them want to—because all that's running in their head is everything's okay, and everything's good.
And when they do pull away, both are breathless, and short, rigid inhales and exhales slip out their lips ceaselessly.
But their eyes don't rip off from each other. Mark is staring at Donghyuck's lovely glistening orbs, while the latter gets lost in the older's round, doe eyes, and he's stuck in a trance he can't seem to escape.
The only thing that fought back the urge to reconnect their lips was an airy voice from the younger's red lips.
"I love you."

They've been walking quite some time now, and they've arrived at the atrium of the resort, where the grandest pools and slides are, and Mark and Donghyuck are appreciative of the huge world they are in.
They run to the heaping pile of twin floaties— those used for the sharp twists and turns of the soaring slides.
And they begin the long journey up the stairs of Monster's Swim.
Mark has the floatie clutched on his hand, and Donghyuck's on the other, making sure the boy won't trip.
And when he does slightly get unbalanced, Mark is quick to turn back, squeeze the boy's hand in his, and ask softly, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" and words so reassuring, seeking solace in Mark's arms is safer than anywhere else in the universe.
Finally they're at the top, and there's still loads of people gliding down and plunging into the blue, refreshing waters. But with a bat of an eyelash, one goes off, and then another, and soon the two of them were set to take their turn down the tall slide.
Donghyuck's once giddy demeanor melted into a puddle of anxiety, as he squeezes Mark's hand tighter. His features are evidently drawn with distraught, and Mark frowns.
"You'll be alright," Mark reassures, pecking the boy's cheeks. "Hyuckie's a brave boy, right?"
Despite the worry, Donghyuck manages to sport a small smile as they get on the twin floaties.
Mark positions himself in front, while Donghyuck stays at the back, and only then did Mark release his hold from the younger's trembling hand.
One last time he looks back at Donghyuck, a tiny smile drawn on his lips. Mark gives him a brighter version, and at that split moment the floatie is plunging down the slide, gliding smoothly but turning sharply from left to right, and Mark practically screaming his heart out.
Donghyuck feels like he's in hell.
There's a plastic handle on the floatie—in the mercy of God—and Donghyuck grasps onto them furiously, eyes clasped tightly shut and teeth clenched in terror.
His jaws are clenched, and the tension builds up inside him, slowly, gradually, but he tries his best to stay put and stay calm.
I'm just scared, just scared, nothing more nothing less, he chants nonchalantly in his blank mind as they whirl around the seemingly mile-long ride. And it's quick and fast, with sharp turns here and there, that are the main cause of his heart doing flips.
But no— Donghyuck has come to conclude that it felt like it was more than fright, more than the phobia of plunging into the water with no guaranteed safety.
The heavy feeling of his heart or the sick beat of his stomach said otherwise.
He parts his lips, taking in a big gulp of air, until it hitches, and his breathing becomes erratic and unstable.
He gasps for air, gasps for the unspoken need to stop, stop all the chaos and calamity, while all of his crises is left unnoticed by the oblivious boy Mark.
The anxiety kills him to the core, targeting his brain and his senses, and his heart pounding ceaselessly in the confines of his ribcage.
Donghyuck can barely breathe, see, hear, feel.
And with one, large breath, his eyes falter, and so does his whole system, and the world goes spinning, and the clouds are a blur, and the universe goes blank.
"THAT WAS FUN!"
The slide ride has come to an end with a twinkling of an eye, splashing into the blue crystal waters in a grand closing. Mark screams in delight, and the fun he's had swirling around the colorful slides.
He feels happy, and the genuine joy is something unmatched to anything he's felt before.
After he's screamed to his heart's content, his lips are still in a bright smile as he turns back to look at Donghyuck.
"HYUCKIE DID YOU HAVE FUN-"
His smile falls lopsided when he sees an odd sight.
Donghyuck slumped on the floatie, his head hung low and his wet fringe covering his eyes.
Mark perceived it as some fun little joke from the younger. So he took the boy's hand, and held it in his, and chuckles half-heartedly.
"Hyuckie, it's time to go."
Mark's eyes have that glint of worry when in a few moments Donghyuck hasn't responded yet, so he shakes his hand, trying to sort of snap the boy out of a daze, maybe.
"Donghyuck, this isn't funny."
Mark's insanely worried, so his hand rests on the younger's chin and he raises it up, tilting his head up to get a better view.
Donghyuck's eyes are shut, and his face looks pale and... lifeless.
"Donghyuck..."
Mark's thumb travels to his cheek and he caresses it lightly. He bites his lip out of anxiety when Donghyuck hasn't responded.
"Donghyuck, please..."
Mark's throat runs dry as his finger traces down to the boy's neck. His heart is palpitating at animalistic speeds, and slowly, he presses to fingers to the boy's pulse, and he searches for it.
Pressing here, there, literally everywhere.
Nothing.
Mark feels helpless. Mark feels lost. Mark feels confused.
With the last efforts, and tears and tears and tears streaming down his flushed cheeks, he whispers.
"Donghyuck..."
