"Jisungie~"

CHENLE HAD JUST WOKEN UP due to the freezing temperatures. He felt cold and kept on rolling on the bed, breathing hot air into his palms and rubbing it quickly, trying to produce as much warmth as he can.

But nothing can compare to Jisung's hugs.

And Chenle had wondered why Jisung wasn't beside him, sleeping soundly, his arms wrapped around his waist, his head burried on the crook of his neck, and his hot breath teasing his skin.

It was enough to keep him warm during the freezing nights.

But it was an odd feeling of emptiness when Chenle woke up with Jisung out of sight.

The boy wasn't cuddled up next to him, which left a big space of nothing but air on the sheets and pillows. Chenle narrowed his eyes, confused as to why the younger wasn't there. It came as a shock considering the fact that Jisung was always the one who often overslept between the two of them, and Chenle always woke up first.

And what made matters worse was that his head was spinning madly and dizziness was overpowering his system as his senses grew blunt. The alcohol had taken an effect on him, and even though he wasn't that much intoxicated last night, he doesn't have much of a big alcohol tolerance, and can easily get a tad bit tipsy with just a few drinks.

His body ached as much as his head hurt, and his limbs were growing quite numb. Despite him being physically there on his bed, he was mentally drifting away from reality, and with his eyes glued to the ceiling, he centered his mind on random thoughts that flooded his brain.

And surprise surprise—one of which is about Jisung.

All he was thinking about was why Jisung was up at such an ungodly hour—actually, no, it was half passed ten, but surely, anyone dealing with a hangover wouldn't dare to move a muscle at this time. Plus, the curtains were drawn, letting little to no sunlight seep into the room. It was like a small hibernating zone where every moment was nighttime—providing the perfect place to take a deep slumber for hours on-end.

So now he had thought that now was a perfect moment to think of some likely reasons of Jisung's early awakening.

Maybe Jisung wanted to make breakfast?

I mean, the younger can cook, but only within a radius of instant ramen, fried eggs, pancakes, and pre-marinated—and not necessarily sanitary—meat cuts that were supposed to be grilled on hot blazing charcoal but who cares, you have a gas stove and a pan and that'll do the trick.

And all he can whip up in the kitchen are not so show-off-worthy, so even if he did want to show some care to his hyungs, he'd most likely just do the laundry for them for once and cut off the amount of job they have to do inside the house, which they'd actually appreciate more than readily available breakfast on the table.

        So, scratch that part.

Maybe Jisung wanted to clean up the living room?

        Hell no.

Chenle was well-aware that the younger absolutely hated cleaning up things, so the reason isn't anywhere near that.

Well, what could that actually be?

As cringy as it sounds, there's only one way to find out.

Cue some encouraging, dramatic music here.

Even if his body was practically giving up on him, he still managed to climb out of bed, his feet feeling quite wobbly, and slowly made his way to the door, his hand guiding himself absentmindedly. He grips on the doorknob and twists it, stepping out of the room and walking through the narrow hallways.

Not a single noise could be heard from the rooms, so the boys must be still sleeping at this point.

        And so he kept walking.

Until his body was jolted back, stopping him in his tracks.

He was at the end of the flight of stairs, and he could already hear muffled sounds of Jisung's voice.

It sounded like he was talking to someone, although he couldn't understand their conversation.

He slowly takes a few steps, producing the least sound as possible, his hand clutching tightly on the rails. And he didn't even know why he was feeling so nervous.

Maybe he was just talking to himself, you know? I mean, he was alone and it's not like no one speaks to theirselves once in a while.

Until the loud and clear sound of Jisung's voice ringed through his eardrums.

"Hey~ I miss you too! Okay, bye. I love you~"

        What did Chenle just hear?

His heart stopped. A lump threatened to run down his throat, and sweat was already trickling down his face.

        Who was Jisung talking to?

Moreover, why? Why was he talking to that someone like some insanely lovestruck boy?

Was Jisung already in a relationship with someone?

Without Chenle knowing?

The thought shattered his heart into pieces.

What was he thinking? Someone would fall inlove with him in a month?

Chenle was just making a fool out of himself.

He was such a fool, to think he was only Jisung's, and he was the only one he'd cuddle with, and he was the only one he'd give kisses to, and he's the only one he'd love with all his heart.

Chenle loved Jisung, he loves the younger so much he'd take a bullet for him and have no regrets. He loves him so much he'd give up everything, everything to be with Jisung. He was willing to go through so much extents to show how much he truly loves Jisung, and shower him with all the love, care, and affection he really deserves.

All the little traits and things about Jisung was enough to drive Chenle crazy.

Every small gesture the younger would give always left him a blushing mess, his heart beating rapidly, and a tingling sensation in the pit of his stomach.

The warm cuddles, the soft pecks, the kiss last night.

It sent shivers down his spine.

Heck, he's fucking inlove with Jisung.

But sadly, Jisung doesn't show the same feelings to Chenle.

And without knowing, his legs had already made its way down the stairs.

╚═ °• •° ═╗

Jisung ended the call, a bright smile plastered on his face. After talking with a special someone through the phone, he couldn't help but squeal and feel all giddy.

It was a euphoric moment for him, and at that moment his heart was pouding in his chest, extreme joy being the cause of this.

In simpler terms, he was going crazy.

        She was finally coming back.

Excitement filled the air and thrill flowed through his veins.

He was excited to introduce her to the boys.

        He misses her.

And he loves her, a lot.

But his trail of thoughts were ended when he heard footsteps coming from the staircase that were gradually growing louder and louder.

He looked to the direction of the footsteps and his smile grew even wider.

"Lele!", the boy squealed, standing up from the sofa as he made his way to the older.

Oh fuck, he's cute, the older thought.

But no—snap out of your fantasies, Chenle.

        He'll never be yours.

        He'll just break your heart.

        Again.

"Don't 'Lele' me," Chenle snapped, glaring at the younger and crossing his arms.

        He looked mad.

Even if, he just felt hurt.

"What?", Jisung asked, taken aback and confused at how the older was acting.

"Don't even pretend, Park Jisung." Chenle scoffed, clicking his tongue at the younger.

"Chenle, what do you mean?", Jisung slightly raised his voice, already quite annoyed at how Chenle was snapping at him. The younger was getting more nervous by the second. He was deeply puzzled as to why the older was yelling at him like that, and why he seemed like he was getting under his skin, when in his knowledge he had done nothing wrong.

"You have the audacity to say 'I love you' to me, even when you're already taken?" Chenle had the guts to look at Jisung in the eye, which was filled with perplexity.

"Oh god Jisung, you're such a player. Why did I even submit myself to an asshole like you?" the older retorted, his orbs sending daggers into Jisung's, filled with so much fury.

Despite not knowing what he was talking about, Jisung felt a lump in his throat, and his hands started to sweat even more.

Chenle was fuming at him.

"Chenle I do not understand what you're saying right now!" And now Jisung was starting to get irritated at Chenle. He was getting mad at him for things he didn't even do. And he couldn't care to explain to him properly about the situation either. It was all a mess and everything was a blur to Jisung.

But the older did not stop there. "The phone call, Jisung. I heard everything. From the 'I miss you's' and the 'I love you's'. Jisung, you have a girlfriend and you've been doing things to me—"

        Jisung cut Chenle short.

"Wow, really," he cocked a brow, walking closer to the older with a sly smirk. Jisung let out a short chuckle with a smug face, aggravating Chenle to the max.. "Everything?"

"There is nothing funny, Park Jisung." Chenle rebuked at him as he clenched his fists, exasperated and enraged.

"You piece of shit."

Chenle bellowed the last time, and after lashing out all his rage he stormed out of the scene, his feet stomping on the wooden floor he once knew and loved.

And now he despised

He entered the room a d his body immediately collapsed on the mattress, letting the sheets and pillows engulf him.

And at that split second tears came gushing out his eyes, burrying his face on the pillow and muffling out cries of pain, anger, anguish. He cried his heart out as his brown orbs grew sore and puffy. Tears streamed down his cheeks which fell on the sheets and staining them.

Chenle pitied himself and his heart. For loving, and breaking because of loving.

He let out a bitter chuckle.

"Chenle, you fucked up. Big time."
