[ RECAP ]

"Who were you talking to?" Shirabu asks as he approaches Tendou.

"To Y/N," Semi responds.

"She made me feel a lot better," Goshiki smiles.

"Wait, how come I didn't get to talk to her?"

"You seemed busy," Tendou responded. "Now, let's shatter the other team!" The team gave him a nod before running back to the court, Shirabu following slowly behind.

[ THE NEXT DAY ]

"Thank you for doing this Goshiki-kun," I give him a smile as he leads me to the class of the girl he mentioned on Saturday.

"O-O course," he stutters which makes me chuckle at his flustered state.

"So, do you have any idea what she's like?"

"She's pretty quiet," Goshiki rubs the back of his head. "Not someone who likes being in the spotlight."

"I see," I nod as we finally came to a stop. We both look through the window and Goshiki points at the girl who was far off in the corner of the classroom. "I'll be back."

"I'll be waiting for you!" I laugh before telling him to go head to his class instead.

"Hey."

The girl jumped and looked confused as to why I approaching her. "Um, hi?"

"My name is L/N Y/N, I'm a second-year. I wanted to know if you were in any clubs already," I introduce myself. She fidgets with her fingers before responding with a small 'no'. "Great! If you don't know already, I'm the manager of the Shiratorizawa's boys volleyball team. I was wondering if you would like to become one as well. I mean, if you would like to of course."

"Um, m-manager?" I give her an enthusiastic nod before reaching into my backpack for a paper. I hand her the paper and she gives me a questioning look.

"You don't have to answer right now so I'll give you my number. Text me if you have any questions or if you have decided. You could also find me at the gym before and after school."

"O-Okay," she takes the paper and I give her a wave goodbye before leaving the classroom. As I walk out and make my turn towards my next class, I bump into someone's chest.

"I'm so sor-" I look up and see a rather stoic face copper head.

"What?"

"I don't know, you seem weird today," I place a finger on my chin as I scan his face.

"I don't seem weird," he scoffs as he rolls his eyes. "Now stop looking at me like that."

"Okay then," I shrug it off and start heading to my class. Just then, a hand grabbed my arm and I turn to see Shirabu with a nervous and worried expression.

"How come you're avoiding me? Did I do something that upset you?"

"What do you mean?"

"It's just... You talked to everyone yesterday through the phone and it seemed as if you were avoiding me during this morning's practice." It was true, I was kind of avoiding him this morning. For some reason, I couldn't shake off the thought of Shirabu accepting the girl's gift and possibly gaining feelings for her.

"You're overthinking it," I chuckle and his eyes widen. "I was just busy with handling my school and manager responsibilities. Now if you excuse me, I have to get to my class before I'm late."

"But-"

"Y/NIIEEEEEE," I hear my name being called down the hall and see Tendou running towards me while Semi chases behind. Tendou hides behind me,using my as a shield, and I could see Shirabu become annoyed. "Semisemi is after me! Help me!"

"You spilled water all over my assignment!"

"It was an accident," Tendou gives him puppy eyes and Semi rolls his in response.

"Did you type out your assignment?" Semi looks away from Tendou and his gaze lands on me.

"I did," Semi nods. "I was up all night doing it too."

"The printing room is right next to my class," I point towards the other side of the hall. "If you want we could go print it out again."

"You see," Tendou nervously laughs. "Problem solved!"

"You're lucky Y/N-san was here," Semi growls at him. "Okay then, let's go before the bell rings."

"Alright, bye guys," I wave at Shirabu and Tendou goodbye as Semi follows my lead to the printing room.

"Stupid red-head," Shirabu grumbles under his breath and takes his leave.

"Hey! I heard you!"

"Thank you again Y/N-san," Semi sighs in relief as I hand him his new printed-out assignment.

"No problem Semi-senpai," I smile which causes his face to turn beet-red. "You really don't like being called senpai huh?"

"It's not that," Semi shakes his head.

"So if you don't like me calling you 'senpai', should I call you Semisemi?" He instantly furrows his eyebrows which causes me to chuckle at his expression after calling him the nickname that Tendou gave him.

"Semi is fine with me," he tells me.

"Dropping honorifics?"

"Does it bother you?"

"Not really," I shrug. "You could drop the honorifics with me too then. Now, head to class before you're late."

"You're such a mom," he teases.

"I just care," I stick out my tongue at him. "Plus, it's my job as a manager to take care of you all. Anyways, I'll see you later Semi."

"See you Y/N," he waves goodbye and starts to head to his class. Just as I reach the entrance of my class, the bell rings. I scurry over to my seat and I see Kawanishi give me a confused look.

"What?"

"You look like you just ran a marathon," he shrugs.

"I was all over the place today," I let out a deep sigh.

"Let me guess," he places his cheek on top of his palm. "Trouble with being a manager?"

"It's like babysitting children."

"Or you're just a bad manager," he counters back.

"Hey! I am not a bad manager," I argue.

"Says the person who missed yesterday's game," he evilly smirks. Being Kawanishi's seatmate was annoying as hell since he was very provoking but it was entertaining as well. I push the arm on which he rested his cheek, causing his face to come in quick contact with the desk.

"Kawanishi-san," the teacher calls out. "Falling asleep again?"

"No, I'm not," he quickly shoots his head back up.

"Sure you aren't," the teacher raises an eyebrow as she crosses her arms. "This is your last warning."

"I hate you," he whispers to me as he shakes his head with a small chuckle.

"The feelings mutual," I whisper. "By the way, Shirabu-san seemed weird this morning. Do you have any idea why?"

"Mmm," he thinks for a while. "Probably because of what Tendou-san told him when we were in the locker room this morning."

"What did Tendou tell hi-"

"L/N-san," the teacher class out. "This is your last warning too. No talking."

Throughout the whole day, I couldn't help but wonder what could Tendou possibly tell him for him to act in such a weird manner. I also couldn't get the girl that gave Shirabu a gift out of my mind as well. And knowing that they have the same class troubles me even more. I'm just hoping that there won't be any problems coming ahead.

The day finally came to an end, and I walked along with Kawanishi towards the gym as we always did after class. On our way, we ran into Goshiki and he tagged along with us as well. He bombarded me with questions about a certain subject that he had trouble with so I helped him along the way.

Once reaching the gym, Kawanishi and Goshiki raced each other into the locker room, leaving me behind to set up the court. Just then, a familiar girl walked in, and a smile was placed on my face. "I-I came to see w-what I would have to do in this c-club if I decided to join."

"Great! I'll lead you during the whole practice," I smile. But my smile soon turned to a frown when I saw Shirabu walking in the gym with the girl that gave him the gift by his side.
