Jiwon chuckled softly as she listened to the couple's conversation, still holding Yeonjun up as he leaned against her drunkenly, giggling like a child.
She couldn't help but notice the confusion and slight worry in Beomgyu's voice as he asked who she was. She leaned closer to the phone, deciding to answer for Yeonjun.
"Yeonjun is clearly too drunk to answer. He's fine, he's with me. I'm Jiwon, his childhood best friend."
Beomgyu's confusion only grew as he heard a strange woman's explanation.
"Childhood best friend? Yeonjun never mentioned you...his only friend is Kang Taehyun.."
Beomgyu's voice was tinged with a hint of jealousy, a feeling he couldn't suppress.
"Are you sure you guys are just childhood friends? Why are you with him so late at night?"
Jiwon could sense the hint of jealousy and suspicion in Beomgyu's voice over the phone, and she couldn't blame him. She knew it looked suspicious, but she didn't want to start any misunderstandings between them.
"Yes, I can assure you, we're just friends. Nothing more, nothing less."
She smiled gently, continuing to hold Yeonjun up as he giggled and mumbled incoherently, oblivious to Beomgyu's concerns on the other end of the line.
Beomgyu was still skeptical, but his trust in Yeonjun overpowered his jealousy. He took a deep breath and spoke firmly.
"I don't know what you're two are up to, but I'm coming to pick Yeonjun up."
He hung up the phone, feeling a mixture of emotions as he got ready to go and get his husband.
Jiwon lowered the phone and looked at Yeonjun who was still giggling and clinging to her arm, completely unaware of the tension on the phone call.
"Beomgyu is on his way," she said gently, patting his head as she smiled at him.
Yeonjun looked up at her with a goofy grin. "Yay, Beomgyu's coming!!" he exclaimed happily, clearly excited to see his husband.
Jiwon chuckled softly, amused by his intoxicated state. She continued to hold him closely, making sure he doesn't lose his balance.
"Yes, he is. But you should probably sober up a little before he gets here. You're going to give him a heart attack if he sees you like this."
Yeonjun laughed drunkenly and rested his head on Jiwon's shoulder again, still clinging to her arm.
"Nah, Beomgyu loves me." he said proudly, giggling as he nuzzled his head against her shoulder.
Jiwon rolled her eyes with a smile, but secretly finding his behavior adorable. "Yes, he does, but even he has his limits. And you're already pushing it, mister."
She gently patted his back, continuing to hold him up as they waited for Beomgyu to arrive.

After a few minutes, they heard the sound of a car pulling up outside, and moments later, Beomgyu walked into the bar.
Beomgyu's eyes immediately landed on Yeonjun, giggling and clinging to Jiwon. He walked over to them, a mixture of concern and jealousy in his eyes. "Yeonjun.."
Yeonjun looked up at Beomgyu with a wide grin, still clearly drunk but happy to see his husband. "Hiii darlingg~" he practically sang, detaching himself from Jiwon and throwing his arms around Beomgyu's shoulders.
Beomgyu's face softened slightly as he saw Yeonjun's adorable state, but he couldn't ignore the feeling of jealousy bubbling inside him.
"Yeonjun, you're... really drunk. We need to get you home." He held onto Yeonjun's waist gently, trying to support him as he stood there swaying.
Yeonjun chuckled and leaned into Beomgyu, resting his head on his shoulder. "But I was having fun with Jiwonie..." he mumbled, pouting slightly as he clung to his husband.
Beomgyu's jaw tightened as he heard Yeonjun's words. He cast a quick glance at Jiwon, still standing behind them, before looking back at his drunken husband.
"I'm sure you were, but It's time to go home, come on." He said firmly, wrapping his arm around Yeonjun's waist and guiding him towards the door.
As they prepared to leave, Yeonjun turned back towards Jiwon, his pout turning into a soft smile. He detached himself from Beomgyu's arm and stumbled back over to Jiwon, his balance still a little swayed from the alcohol.
He wrapped his arms around her in a tight drunken hug, burying his face in her shoulder. "Jiwon, promise me I'll see you again soon, okay?"
Jiwon chuckled as Yeonjun hugged her, patting his back softly. "Of course, you'll see me again soon. And next time, don't drink so much, you idiot."
She continued to hold him tightly, feeling a familiar comfort in their embrace.
Yeonjun let go of the hug and gave her a goofy grin, stumbling back towards Beomgyu, who was standing by the door with a neutral expression on his face.
He stumbled his way to his husband, wrapping his arm around him and smiled. "Bye Jiwon~" he said before Beomgyu lead him out of the place.
As they left the resturant, Beomgyu helped Yeonjun into the passenger seat of the car, buckleing him up and shutting the door. He sighed heavily, trying to hide his jealousy and confusion as he walked around to the driver's side.
As he sat down and started the engine, he cast a quick glance at his husband, who was already dozing off in the passenger seat.
The car ride home was mostly silent except for the sound of Yeonjun's soft snoring and the faint hum of the engine. Beomgyu's mind was swirling with mixed emotions. He couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy when he saw how clingy and drunk Yeonjun was with Jiwon.
He had never even heard about Jiwon before, and suddenly she was there tonight, with Yeonjun, laughing and drinking together.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened as he tried to shake off the feeling of insecurity. He trusted Yeonjun, but the sight of him hugging and laughing with another woman was making him uncomfortable. He knew he had to talk to Yeonjun about this, but he didn't want to start a fight, especially when his husband was in no condition to have a rational conversation.
As they arrived home, Beomgyu helped a stumbling Yeonjun out of the car and into their apartment. After helping him change and get into bed, Beomgyu sat down on the edge of the bed, gazing at his husband's peaceful sleeping face.
He reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair out of Yeonjun's face, his heart softening at the sight of him sleeping so soundly. He couldn't help but smile a little, feeling guilty for letting jealousy get the best of him.
He was a constant in the equation, he shouldn't worry about a dumb variable.
"But Variables can change the outcomes of an equation you know? A negative variable can make the solution's value different.." his mind supplied, making him groan.
Yeonjun must have a reason to not tell him about Jiwon before, he should trust him.
Beomgyu sighed heavily, lying down next to his husband and wrapping his arms around him. He closed his eyes, trying to push away the feelings of doubt and insecurity. Tomorrow, he would talk to Yeonjun, and hopefully get some answers.
Until then, he would hold his husband close, reminding himself that no matter what, he loved him deeply and trusted him with all his heart.
