"Can I kiss you now, Beomgyu?"

Beomgyu's heart raced with a chaotic flutter. His breath hitched as the seconds stretched on, the anticipation making it hard to think. Finally, he nodded, the movement small but eager, his words lost somewhere between the thunderous beating of his heart and the swirl of emotions within him.

"Y-yes," he whispered, his voice barely audible, his lips still parted, eyes still closed. The word was more of a sigh, a surrendering to the magnetic pull he felt towards Yeonjun, as he felt Yeonjun inching closer.

Just as Beomgyu's lips were about to touch Yeonjun's, his phone began to ring loudly. The sudden sound shattered the intimate moment, making Beomgyu jolt away from Yeonjun, as if he'd been shocked.

He quickly fumbled for his phone in his pocket, cursing himself for not having put it on silent. He looked at the caller ID, recognizing the number as the University's Principal's number.

Beomgyu groaned upon seeing the Principal's number, rolling his eyes as he answered the call. The night was going so well, and now, the Principal had to interrupt?

Beomgyu put his phone on speaker.

"Hello, Sir. Is everything alright?" Beomgyu answered, his voice polite but his tone laced with confusion.

"Hello, Mr Choi. Yes, everything is fine. I just wanted to discuss something with you." the Principal replied, his voice calm and composed.

Beomgyu waited for the Principal to continue, his eyes shooting daggers at Yeonjun who was now covering his face to stop himself from laughing. This damn man.

Beomgyu cleared his throat once again, trying to maintain some semblance of professionalism despite the absurd interruption. "Very well, Sir, go ahead." he said, his eyebrow twitching with frustration.

The Principal went on to discuss a series of mundane tasks that could easily have waited until Monday, but Beomgyu, being the obedient person he was, nodded along, offering polite responses and assuring the Principal he'd handle everything. Throughout the call, Yeonjun was a silent mess next to him, struggling to hold in his laughter, his shoulders shaking uncontrollably.

After what felt like an eternity, Beomgyu finally ended the call, breathing a sigh of relief. He turned to Yeonjun and glared at him, who was now doubled over in laughter.

"Seriously, Yeonjun? You're laughing?" Beomgyu huffed in annoyance.

Yeonjun tried to compose himself, wiping tears from his eyes, "Sorry, I just... the look on your face was priceless!"

Beomgyu rolled his eyes again and continued to glare at his husband, who somehow found his misery oh so funny.

"Shut up before I strangle you in this car right here." Beomgyu warned with an annoyed smile, and Yeonjun immediately stopping laughing, suppressing his giggles.

"Alright M'lord, I shall stop."
Yeonjun turned the key in the ignition, the engine humming to life. With a mischievous grin, he glanced at Beomgyu and revved the engine, causing Beomgyu to let out a shriek of surprise.

"Yeonjun!" he scolded, gripping the door handle.

Chuckling, Yeonjun navigated the streets with ease, weaving through traffic with a confident grace. He looked relaxed, his arm casually draped over the back of Beomgyu's seat. "See? I can handle this Beoms." he boasted.

Beomgyu rolled his eyes again, feigning annoyance, but a small smile played on his lips.

"Yeah whatever." He mumbled back, the cool breeze blew through the open window, ruffling his hair and adding to the excitement of the evening. He leaned back into his seat, feeling the anticipation building as they drew closer to their destination.

"You're such a show-off." he teased, reaching out to playfully flick Yeonjun's arm. "But I have to admit, you're driving pretty well."

"Ofcourse I am, I'm Choi Yeonjun." He smirked, showing-off his driving skills to Beomgyu, while Beomgyu just smiled subtly behind his teasing words.

As they drove, they passed various city attractions, their vibrant lights illuminating the night sky.

"But where are we going? You're not gonna throw me off a cliff, are you?" Beomgyu joked, making Yeonjun chuckle as well.

Yeonjun chuckled, his laughter filling the car and easing the tension.
"Well, Mr Choi, while the idea of throwing you off a cliff does have a certain charm, I had something more elegant in mind." he answered, shooting Beomgyu a sly grin.

As they drove further, they passed by the city's skyscrapers, now heading towards the ocean. The lights got dimmer, and the atmosphere became more ethereal. Yeonjun looked ahead, his eyes sparkling with excitement and slight anxiety.

It was the first time Yeonjun was taking someone out on a date properly, and wanted to do everything right for Beomgyu. Nervous anticipation was running through his veins, as he drove past the bustling city to more empty, sea-shore highway.

"We're almost there." Yeonjun announced, glancing at Beomgyu with a proud smile. "Just a few more turns, and we'll be at our special place under the moonlight."

"I did some digging." Yeonjun explained, his voice slightly nervous, "I know you love the sea, stars, and music, so I thought why not do all? I wanted to give you the best first date."
He whispered, as the car stopped and he got out of the driving seat, opening Beomgyu's passenger seat door next, escorting him out.

Beomgyu's eyes widened, his mouth slightly agape, as he took in the majestic yacht parked in front of them. The moonlit sky provided a stunning backdrop to the sleek, white vessel, its surface reflecting the silvery moonlight.

"Yeonjun, this... this is... wow." The word was all that Beomgyu could get out, his awe-struck expression saying the rest.

Yeonjun's chest swelled with relief and pride as he flashed a relieved smile. "I'm glad you like it.

"Like it?" Beomgyu repeated. "It's incredible. I don't... I don't even know what to say."

Yeonjun blushed slightly, happy that Beomgyu liked his idea.
"You don't have to say anything. Just enjoy the evening. All for you."

He extended his hand, his eyes twinkling under the moonlight. "Let's go for a ride?"

Beomgyu nodded, his heart overflowing with gratitude and affection. He slipped his hand into Yeonjun's, feeling loved and appreciated. "Yeah, sure."

As they stepped onto the deck, Beomgyu's eyes were drawn to the view – the endless night sky dotted with stars, the glittering reflection of the moon on the calm waters, and the gentle lapping of the waves against the boat's hull.

Yeonjun led Beomgyu to the bow of the yacht, where there was a cozy set-up for two; blankets spread atop cushions, a small basket of treats, and a portable speaker playing soft music.

He had asked for this set-up specifically this morning, because he wanted it to be picture perfect.

"This... This is so amazing..." Beomgyu whispered. "You did this all for me?" He asked in awe.

"For you, and only you." Yeonjun replied bashfully, his gaze never leaving Beomgyu. He gently tugged Beomgyu down onto the cushions, draping a blanket over their shoulders.
"I wanted to give you a night to remember."

If someone would say Beomgyu was blushing, that would be an understatement, because he swore his face felt burning hot despite the cold breeze wafting through his surroundings and the chilly November weather.

He couldn't believe Yeonjun would do all this for him, but here he was, on a yatch, having a romantic date-night with the person he was so in love with. Tonight for him, was absolute perfection.

They sat comfortably in silence for a while, enjoying the peaceful ambiance, the only sounds accompanying them being the gentle lapping of waves and the soft hum of the yacht. Then, Yeonjun leaned closer, his voice barely above a whisper. "And I wanted to tell you..." he started softly, but stopped.

Beomgyu turned to face Yeonjun, his face soft in the moonlight.

"Tell me what?" he whispered, his question lingering in the silent air.

Yeonjun's gaze was intense, his fingers brushing against Beomgyu's slightly , making electric sparks fly between them.

"I wanted to tell you... that I'm truly sorry. For everything." He mumbled, his voice full of emotion. "For the times I've hurt you, for the times I've been blind. I see it all now, and I regret it so much-"

"Yeonjun... it's okay. We're in a better place now, remember?" Beomgyu reassured, reaching up to place his hand on Yeonjun's, grasping it in his; his thumb running over Yeonjun's knuckles.

"Yeah... you're right." Yeonjun held Beomgyu's hand tightly as well, a soft smile blooming on his face; heart warm with new-found feelings for Beomgyu.

"We're better now, and I'll try my best to show you my better version from now on. I promise." Yeonjun whispered, and slowly tightened his hold on Beomgyu's hand, leaning closer to the younger, heart beating wildly in anticipation.

This time, he didn't ask for permission, because he knew Beomgyu would agree.
He reached forward, and Beomgyu was right there, waiting to be held and captured easily by him, as their lips met into a sweet kiss; molding together into a perfect mix of longing and adoration.

This time, there was no rush, no uncertainties and no doubts, because both of them knew, they had finally found the X after solving the long-awaited equation. They had found the solution, which was Love.
