"I love you Yeonjun."

That sentence had been haunting Yeonjun since last night, robbing him of sleep, which resulted in him leaving the bedroom after fifteen minutes; the guilt and anguish gnawing at his heart in slow bites, consuming the entirety of his soul.

"I took advantage of him...I'm still the same selfish and horrible person. No wonder Jiwon ended it that day."
Yeonjun thought to himself, unable to look at Beomgyu's pretty face on his bed, sleeping so peacefully.

How could he do this to him? Beomgyu, oh so sweet Beomgyu, promised to burn together with him, so why did he let his flames consume someone so beautiful? A flower like Beomgyu needed sunshine, not rain.

But that's what he is. An ugly dark cloud, pouring down at anyone who tries to get too close to his heart, when he gets too heavy with emotions. The only thing he is capable of doing is, cause damage and hurt to people he cares about. He's darkness incarnate, consuming other people's light with himself.

And now, he did the same with Beomgyu. He consumed the younger's pure brightness with his lust and darkness; tainting and destroying him and he hates himself for it. How could he ever look at Beomgyu the same, knowing he probably broke his heart?

"He deserves better..."
He swallowed the bitter lump in his throat, making his way out of his room after getting his clothes, leaving for work immediately.

He can't drown in his guilt and misery, so he'll drown in work instead. Just like always. That's all he knew anyways, running away from his problems like a coward instead of confronting them. Hiding is easier than baring his heart raw and unguarded afterall.

So that's how, Yeonjun was now here, sitting in his luxurious office which seemed rather suffocating and uncomfortable with the tense air of his bubbling ugly emotions.

He busied himself in his work, doing paperwork and handling all his e-mails, refusing to think about Beomgyu. Just when he thought he will be able to ignore the ache in his heart, he noticed something even worse.

Her e-mail.

Yeonjun froze at the sight.

She had e-mailed him? Again? Yeonjun thought he had stated clearly he wanted no connection with her, and even yesterday he made it clear he had no interest in her, so why? He had enough emotional baggage because of Beomgyu, why was she adding her own to it again?

He didn't realise he was frowning and his hands were shaking, until his Secretary pointed it out to him?

"Yeonjun you look like you saw a Ghost, what's up?" Taehyun's calm voice took him out of his temporary mental-breakdown, and he regained his composure, straightening his figure.

"Yes, I saw a Ghost actually. A ghost of past." He answered back with a dejected sigh.

"Ghost of...past? What are you implying?" Taehyun asked, confusion written all over his face.

"Jiwon. She has sent me an e-mail." He announced, making Taehyun frown as well.

"What? That bitch e-mailed you? Why the fuck?" Taehyun seemed more mad than Yeonjun, immediately snatching the Laptop from Yeonjun and checking it out, getting confirmed it was true. What the hell?

"I don't know too! She visisted my office yesterday as well, saying strange stuff." Yeonjun groaned. Can he ever spend a day in peace? Seems like a no.

"Let me see what it is about." Taehyun murmured, opening the email.

Taehyun opened the e-mail, to see it was from Jiwon's official account, as the Chairwoman of VN corp.

That made Taehyun a little confused. Why was she emailing him officially as a work deal?

As he clicked on it, he saw the mail.

After reading that, both Taehyun and Yeonjun had shock written all over their faces.

A collab with FYGP International, one of the biggest international producer platform and creator for popular game softwares? Along with VN Tech? Which was technically Horizon Tech's competetor in the Software Tech market? That's an absolute insane opportunity! No wonder Jiwon also seems eager enough to meet for working along with this big opportunity.

"This...this is a crazy opportunity Yeonjun!" Taehyun exclaimed, watching the same look on Yeonjun's face.

"It is...wow." Yeonjun mumbled, the gears in his head turning.

The collaboration, if he agrees with it, he'll have to work along with Lee Jiwon and Lee Jihan, the sibling duo he absolutely despised with all his being.

This was a 50-50 opportunity, on one hand, he'll have one of the biggest profit by working along with them, and on the other, he'll have to deal with those two and get his blood pressure high.

Taehyun sensed the slight discomfort in Yeonjun's demanor, and understood his inner turmoil.

He knew Yeonjun was calculating this in his mind, because he would push away his own feelings and personal matters for their company and work afterall, just like he did five years ago.

"Will you be....okay working with them Yeonjun?" Taehyun asked softly, knowing it was a sensitive thing for the older, who appeared to be so strong and stoic all the time.

With a gulp, Yeonjun gathered his courage and replied, "Yes Taehyun, don't worry about me. I'll be okay. I have moved on from that."

Has he? Will he ever move on from the biggest heart-break and betrayal of his life, which made him how he is now?

God knows.
