Beomgyu was now at the University, getting greeted by his students.
"Good morning Mr.Choi! Please don't make our Maths exams too hard!!"
Beomgyu smiled a little at their requests, and answered them back with a smirk.
"That's something I cannot promise. I will be making the exam difficult for sure. So, it's up to you all to prepare accordingly."
Once the students realise that he's not kidding, they all groan together.
"Ugh whyy!! Mr.Choi, have some mercy on us poor students! We need to Graduate University, not fail!"
The students whined, but Beomgyu walked past them to prepare for his classes, while saying
"I'm sorry students, I'm a Professor, it's my duty to make you study, not to make you pass. So get back to your classes. This is enough talking and time-wasting. Or I'll make the exams even more difficult!"
He said in a joking and sarcastic tone. The students groaned again, and quickly walked into their classes without even saying another word to him.
Beomgyu walked forward, chuckling to himself. He will never regret having this job over the CEO position of his father's company.
After teaching his classes for the entire morning, his students finally left the classroom. Now, it's time for classes to be conducted by the other professors. Beomgyu finally found some free time for himself.
He thought of spending that time making new plans to make Yeonjun fall for him, but he's not very sure what to do, or what new thing he could try to impress Yeonjun. He's getting frustrated but still not losing hope, so he started walking around the campus, hoping that he will get some new ideas about how to be more impressive and win him.
"What are you thinking so deeply about, Mr.Choi?"
Ms.Kim, the Literature Professor asked him with a chuckle, startling Beomgyu.
"You seem serious."
Beomgyu looked behind and saw Ms. Kim. She was the teacher in the campus, whom he respected the most, and liked as well. Her literary knowledge and poetic skills were very admirable, and he didn't regret having her class replaced with his sometimes. He smiled as he looked at her.
"Oh, just thinking of some work-related things." Beomgyu replied sheepishly.
"I can tell you're lying. I see that whipped smile on your face Professor." She teased.
Beomgyu looked at her in surprise. He couldn't believe that she was able to see through his smile so easily. He laughed nervously.
"You're very good at reading people, Ms. Kim. Can I ask you a question then?"
"Yeah, what is it Mr.Choi?" She asked, paying attention to what Beomgyu had to say.
Beomgyu's cheeks turned red as he thought of asking her this question. He thinks about what could possibly happen if he says it and regrets it. But he gathers his confidence and finally decides to say the question he was hesitating about.
"Would it be too wrong to ask about advice for romantic relationships?"
"Ohhh... interesting. Didn't imagine you asking about things like this, but go ahead please!" She smiled teasingly, not imagining her co-worker would ask her something like this.
Beomgyu laughed nervously and said with a blush on his cheeks.
"Yes, I know this question might seem absurd, but I just wanted some advice...You know, how can I get someone interested in me? Who just doesn't seem interested in relationships at all? That too I just have 30 days to do it..." Beomgyu said with a defeated sigh.
"Oh my! That's a challenge then!" She grinned.
"Hmm....let me think. What kind of Person are they? The one you're trying to pursue?" She asked.
Beomgyu thought about it, and then slowly began to describe Yeonjun's personality to her.
"He's strict, and very work-dedicated, and never accepts any kind of personal questions about himself. All my other attempts to get him to open up have failed as well. I can understand from his attitude that he doesn't believe in Human relations. But I have only 30 days to change that perspective, and make him like me, today is the second day."
"Woah woah...this man seems like a strong-willed person." She hummed.
"Flowers....maybe you can give him flowers? There isn't a person in the world who won't love flowers." Ms.Kim suggested.
Beomgyu considered her suggestion for a moment, and then looked at her with a smile.
"Yeah... It seems like a good idea. You're right, maybe I can start with flowers. And if he doesn't throw it away instantly, then..."
He thought of a new idea and laughed a bit before saying: "I will also write a letter with them, in which I will ask him to let me open up his heart. You see... I know he's strong-willed, but I think I can soften his heart with flowers and my words."
Beomgyu replied, having a slight smile on his face, imagining what expression Yeonjun will make if he gives him flowers.
"Oh sure!" She nodded.
"Don't end up writing maths formulas on those letters though, Mr.Choi." She added with a tease, which made Beomgyu laugh as well.
Beomgyu chuckled at her joke, and replied jokingly,
"Okay, I'll make sure to refrain from writing maths formulas on the letter."
But he realised that he'll need to take some extra care while writing the letter. The letter needs to be romantic, but not too overboard because Yeonjun is a very hard and serious kind of person. He needs to make the letter more subtle.
"Any more advice you need?" Ms.Kim asked.
Beomgyu's cheeks turn red again. And he feels a little embarrassed while asking her this, but he asked anyway, with a shy smile on his face.
"Could you help me with writing the letter? You're the Literature Professor, so you would know how to write in a way that is subtle enough, and impressive for them too."
"Oh sure!!" She nodded.
"But I think it would be better for you to write it... since it will come from your heart. Why not write some math love formulas or something? Does that exist? I have heard Chemistry pick-up lines from Mr.Lee." She laughed.
Beomgyu laughed with her at her suggestion of maths love formulas. He knows Mr. Lee pretty well, and also knows how cheesy his flirting is. He couldn't help but laugh at the thought of writing maths love formulas, and then said with a small smile,
"If I write "Love = (23-7 x 5) divided by X. Will it make someone like me in return?"
"Woah what is the answer to this formula?" She asked curiously.
Beomgyu laughed in surprise, and answered back in a playful tone.
"I don't know... This is just a joke formula, to show the absurdity of the idea of doing maths with the concept of love. There is no solution to this. But do you want to know the answer? This formula just means Love equals nothing..." Beomgyu said, as he thought that it'll probably suit Yeonjun, since that's what he believes love is.
"Damn... that's dark." She laughed.
"I thought it would be something like Me+U= Love or something." She added.
Beomgyu grinned at her jokes. He thought for a moment, and laughed again while looking at her and said,
"That's a good one. Maybe I should use that instead. That is more subtle and a really good one. Me + U = Love... I don't know, maybe he'll find it too cheesy though. He finds human relationships and their emotions to be nothing, so I don't know how he will even react to these cheesy pickup lines."
Beomgyu said with a sigh.
"Ahh... maybe you should start with small things like "Have a good day today" or "I'll be thinking of you today." or "You look handsome." Something like this?"
She answered, thinking hard.
Beomgyu immediately nods yes as he heard her suggestion, as he tried something like that on the first day.
"They seem better, a gentle and gentle approach, and less cheesy." Beomgyu thought.
"They're nice... I'll try writing small things like these for today. Hopefully he'll read them, and won't just throw them away." He said as he smiled at Ms.Kim.
"Alright! All the best with your love Mr.Choi!" She cheered, walking towards her class, and he saw Mr.Lee approach her. It was obvious the Chemistry Professor had some chemistry with the Literature Professor Ms.Kim.
Beomgyu watched them and chuckled to himself a bit. He realised that Mr. Lee and Ms. Kim had a thing for each other. They both were very much opposite of personality but it seemed like they completed each other. He also realised that he has to do the same with Yeonjun. He has to do some subtle hints of showing appreciation towards him, and then he'll have to make some big gestures. He has to make him open up to him little by little.
He looked at his watch and realised that the rest of the day he has no classes to teach. It's almost 5 pm anyways.
"Should I go home early and do something for him? But then, I have to make the Question paper for the upcoming Monthly-evaluation, God!!" Beomgyu groaned, walking ahead. He's so busy this month, it's crazy.
"I should probably buy the flowers today though, so I can give it to him tomorrow." Beomgyu thought, as he decided he should make his way to the flower shop, and be prepared in advance.
"Hope Ms.Kim's idea works."
